The location was good for me. Parking was plentiful. The room was large and the bed and bed clothes were very comfortable. The restaurant is quite nice and the food was very tasty. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I needed to visit a doctor while I was there and Artur and Shawna went out of their way to help me find information.
The room decor could do with an update. The carpeting in my room as well as the public areas needs cleaning…. time for replacement.

The property is easy to find, about 15 mins from the Dublin airport, in quiet area (you do hear planes though). Very nicely kept grounds around. Reception lady very professional and efficient. Excellent - and I mean it, excellent restaurant on site. Great food and very friendly staff. Well working WiFi, generally clean and spacious rooms.
I don't know what kind of guests they are dealing with, but there are very unfriendly warnings written in various places. First, there is a smoking and vaping ban (with some non-existing high-end sensors), trying to vape will result probably in public flogging or something. Secondly, drinking alcohol NOT bought in the bar is a serious felony, something about it being confiscated?! Come on people, is this a 4 * hotel or a student dormitory??

We were leaving early the next morning for a flight out of DUB, so decided to stay here since it was close and could UBER easily to airport. The room was wonderful only one thing we had a problem with. But the staff was wonderful, the food was delicious, room service was prompt (after making a mistake of only bringing food for 1 instead of 2, which could have been entirely my fault, they quickly made the 2nd meal and brought up to the room), the hotel was clean and nicely decorated, bed was comfortable. This was the last night of a 12 night vacation for my mother and myself and it just made everything finish perfectly. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel! This was my 2nd stay and I'll always stay when I'm flying out of Dublin. Try it, you'll love it.
The curtains couldn't close out the light no matter how I tried to arrange them. My mother was exhausted and we had to be up in less than 7 hours to prepare for an early morning flight. The sun came right in to the bed. She was so tired, she fell asleep after a short time anyway. But those might be something the hotel tries to find a way to resolve so guests can rest even if the sun hasn't gone down.

Kettles is perfectly convenient to explore Dublin when you have a car and need parking and so close to the airport. Room was decently spacious and clean. The receptionist who checked us in and out (15-16 June) was exceptional. I forget his name- dark hair, wonderfully welcoming and helpful, answering questions guests may have before they even arise. Hospitality suits him and makes Kettles a great hotel option!
Slightly thin walls (could hear the tv and voices of neighboring rooms - earplugs solved that); no view (our room overlooked the building roof).

We ended up at Kettles unexpectedly and last minute after a breakdown near Lusk on our way back to Derry from Cork on New Year’s Day! We were very lucky to get a room at a very reasonable price last minute and had a happy and comfortable stay after what had been a very stressful experience. The staff in the bar and restaurant in particular were fantastic, they just couldn’t have been nicer - particularly the woman on breakfast duty the next morning. We didn’t get her name but it was the morning of January 2nd - a lovely person and so helpful, especially with accommodating some allergies that I have. If we find ourselves in the area again under happier circumstances we’d be happy to return to Kettles.

We have made 4 complete trips around Ireland over the past 25 years, and have travelled here from canada annually for close family visits. so we can compare it to at least 20 other lodging experiences. And I mean experiences (usually funny afterwards). If you want to be very close to Dublin airport and need a place to have 3 meals a day and have adjustable heat and hot water 24 hours a day, with a lift, then stay here for sure. Most B&B’s can’t offer a total package like this. Good restaurant and a separate pub. Tea in room to make yourself which is nice. Room was clean and housekeeping did a good job. We stayed 2 nights with friends. Even though it was very busy, once in room, we did not hear any of the celebrations going on below. I also like the way the place looks and feels. Charming old inn feeling like the public house I grew up in. Not like a big plain airport hotel.
When showering, water goes cold every minute or so for about 15 seconds. Also if you suffer from poor mobility, you will need a partner to assist you in and out of a typical deep and narrow Irish tub. Also, hair dryer was broken and housekeeping did not have a spare! ????? 25 rooms and no spare hairdryer?!? If I was the manager, someone would have been sent to Swords to buy one ASAP. Not sure if it would compare to a 4 star in Canada. I would rate this a 3+. Also, the friends we were showing Ireland to on this trip around were frustrated that they had to go to front desk twice with room door card to get it to work. We only had 1 card that worked also. All in all, it was ok. Believe me, you could do worse.

Room and beds very comfortable. Nice attached pub/restaurant.
Could benefit from an automatic entry door, instead of the double doors it has, which are each about 24" wide. These open out, so not easy to enter with your luggage. Like many newer-builds, has a shower in the tub with an open-end, which means always being exposed to a draft while showering. Did not get the scheduled wake-up call on the morning of our flight home[ reason for the low staff rating]; fortunately I had woken up anyway, but this is a pretty big no-no for a hotel..

The room was spacious and bed very comfortable. The bath shower could have done with an anti-slip mat for added safety. The free toiletries were good quality and vegan friendly. Breakfast was not included in the price of the room but I suppose that gives you the option of not partaking without guilt. Staff were all friendly and professional. Full Irish breakfast would definitely set you up for the day. Dinner had plenty of variety with two vegetarian options and again very friendly staff.
The room did not allow the window to be opened wide enough to get some decent air in. Our bathroom either didn't have an extraction fan or it wasn't obvious, but no mold was evident either. An anti-slip mat should have been provided for using the shower in the bathtub.

We stayed in a family room for 3 people. Room was super spacious, clean and beds were really comfy! Staff at reception were very helpful re directions to Malahide
The vending machines didn't have a great range of choice in stock (we arrived back to hotel after a concert and really wanted something to eat but the bar/restaurant were closed).
