My husband & I recently had the pleasure of staying at Waters Edge B&B, and I can confidently say it was one of the most delightful experiences I've had in accommodation. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a stunning view of the tranquil waters that truly live up to the name "Waters Edge." The attention to detail in every aspect of the B&B was impeccable. The room we stayed in was not only beautifully decorated but also spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious breakfast served each morning by the lovely Heather & her beautiful husband Don. The variety and quality of the food were exceptional, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients that truly elevated the dining experience. It was evident that the hosts take great pride in offering a memorable culinary experience. The location of Waters Edge B&B is also worth noting. Situated right by the water's edge (as the name suggests), the views are simply breathtaking. Whether enjoying a leisurely breakfast on the patio or taking a peaceful stroll along the shoreline, the serene atmosphere added an extra layer of relaxation to my stay. What truly sets Waters Edge apart, however, is the exceptional hospitality provided by the hosts. Heather & Don went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, offering personalized recommendations for local attractions and making us feel like a valued guest throughout my visit. Overall, I cannot recommend Waters Edge B&B highly enough. It's the perfect blend of comfort, luxury, and personalized service in a stunning waterfront setting. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat, this charming B&B exceeds expectations on every level. Water's Edge B&B exceeded our expectations! As we drove up to their house, Heather & Don greeted us, and they were so helpful with everything that we needed. The room was beautifully decorated; the whole house was stunning. The view of the bay was amazing. The breakfast they served us was visually appealing on the plate, and delicious! The room had everything we needed from a very comfy bed, a beautiful, large patio to relax on, electric kettle for tea, coffee maker, snacks, and a nice bottle of wine, and they had WiFi for us to use. This stay at Water's Edge was a gem, and we would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Heather & Don.

Everything was perfect; I can't think of a thing.

Stunning modern house with fabulous views of the beach across the street. The bedroom is a very comfortable large room on the street level with a slider to a private outdoor lounge area with outdoor couches and tables. The hosts are fantastic and gave yery helpful suggestions. They only rent out one room downstairs, so it is very private and quiet, although the house is close to the road. This is one of the nicest B &B houses we have stayed in. The beach across the street is beautiful and the B&B is walking distance to restaurants and shops nearby. It is immaculately clean with an unbelievably delicious and creative breakfast.

Elite! Deluxe! Impeccably clean, very tastefully/artistically decorated. MichelinStar-type vegetarian breakfast cooked by multi-talented hostess Heather, aided by raconteur hubby Don. Delightful, professional, attentive, hospitable hosts. Very accommodating (got up at sparrow’s to cook us breakfast for an early departure on the next leg of our journey); served on plush deck with oveanview. Exceptional amenities: 2 beautiful adjacent gardens for guests, huge comfortable stylish bedroom, ample space, fridge/drawers/cupbrds stocked with free wine, tea/coffee, snacks, (bathroom drawer offered every item imaginable from razors to very personal toiletries; every need under the sun provided for. Secure premises & parking. Water’s Edge worth every cent! Incomparable on every level. We refuse to stay anywhere else!

If there was an award for B&B hosts of the year then the fabulous duo Don & Heather from Waters Edge B&B Whitianga would take out all categories! The space is absolutely beautiful, nestled off the corner of the most amazing views in Whitianga. Don and Heather’s artistic flair shines through in every corner of the home & every little touch thought through elegantly; the photos don’t even do it justice! I don’t often have regrets however knowing how amazing our stay would be id have booked further in advance to be able to stay longer! The whole experience really made our anniversary night getaway and we both can’t wait to return to Whitianga, even if all we did was stay at Waters Edge 🥰

You won’t find anything not to love

Waters Edge B&B is perhaps the best place we stayed on our two-week trip to New Zealand. It is centrally located right at the beach, and one can walk across. We just strolled along to the beach to the Marina, which has lots of dining options. The hosts, Don and Heather, were both warm and considerate. They took every care to make us comfortable and gave us helpful advice on where to dine and what route to take to our next stop. The breakfast was substantial, exquisitely presented, and served on a deck with a full water view. What a great way to start a lovely day in Whitianga.

Absolutely nothing!

The owners are a friendly, welcoming, charming and attentive couple who did everything needed to provide not only a superb facility in the best location on the Whitianga beach-front, but made a recommendation for a local restaurant that ended in our best dinner of our 3 week trip in NZ, and provided an exquisite breakfast which was also our best breakfast experience in NZ. They aslo provided some other advice and assistance for a couple of our other questions. Car Parking was in a secure garage on site. The Waters Edge BnB is marvelous, absolutely exceptional.

This B&B is very special and we had a wonderful time. Everything you can dream of: really nice hosts (thanks again Heather and Don!!!), going out of their way to make our stay special. Great room, in a great location with a great view, room equipped with everything you can dream of, also with many specials: free wine in the fridge with cheese and crackers, fresh fruit, cookies, just to name a few.... . Never had a nicer breakfast anywhere, and we had many very good breakfasts during our 4-week trip. But this breakfast was just amazing: created and served with love to every little detail and of course very delicious.

We loved everything, nothing was missing.

The hosts, Heather and Don, were very welcoming and accommodated our requests. My wife asked for a yoga mat, and she was allowed to borrow not only a yoga mat but also a bolster, blocks, etc. Each day, we discussed the best hiking options and weather conditions. All of the suggested walks were uncrowded and beautiful. We learned about Whitianga culture, food, and the seas and rivers surrounding it.

Every aspect of our stay was very enjoyable. The hosts were very welcoming and explained every thing in a friendly way. The room was beautifully decorated and in pristine condition. Every creature comfort was supplied in the room, it was absolutely perfect in every way. Our hosts were welcoming and very friendly and our breakfast was five star!!!!

Nothing our stay was relaxing and we were spoiled. Honestly we could find not one thing we didn't like.
