This hotel is wonderful. Before retiring I averaged 250 nights a year in hotels between work and vacations. I rarely saw hotels this clean and well maintained at any price point. Ingrid and her staff really care about their guests comfort and it shows. The breakfast room is large, plenty of tables and chairs even during the busiest part of the morning. The rooms are very comfortable and there’s plenty of hot water! There’s free WiFi and a nice TV to help pass the time. There’s a good sized parking lot on the property and plenty of free, on street parking if you prefer. There’s even a Wurst Stand right across the street if you crave some spicy sausage. All in all it’s a great place to stay, kind of a blast from the past when the Inn Keeper actually lived on site and took pride in their property. We loved it!!

Very nice hotel, close to subway station and other public transports. The room was well equipped, with AC and even fridge, which is hard to find in Vienna as I could notice. As the hotel it’s close to a train station, they even have double windows to protect from the noise. The breakfast was also very qualitative. The hotel also offers free parking which is a huge plus. The staff was very nice to allow my parents to let their car in the parking space the next day as well after the checkout, while they went to visit the city center. 😊

Nothing to mention

Location excellent, 4 minute walk to buses, train and underground, 9 minute walk to trams. Getting around all of Vienna was both a pleasure and a breeze. Nearby restaurants were excellent. Breakfast was delicious. Self-service, frequently replenished, continental style with choices of different fresh breads, pastries, cereals, cold meats, cheeses, salads, fresh fruit, yougurts, perfectly boiled eggs, just to name a few choices. Coffee machines had loads of choices and tasted really good, too. There are lots of tea choices, too. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless. The room was cleaned, the bed made, and the towels were changed daily. There's a hairdyer and minibar provided in the room. There's a lift. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel for people who don't want to spend an arm and leg but want resonable comfort and easy accessibility to Vienna city and anywhere else that takes your fancy by use of the excellent public transport system in Austria.

1) Don't arrive to check in early. It seems the recepion staff stay on duty very late, quite possibly overnight, and they are there until after breakfast. Then they leave for a few hours of sleep, so in reality, check-in is at 3 pm. But once you have your room key, you have full access and can come and go whenever you wish. 2) They're not great at replying to queries by email. 3) No irons in rooms. Luckily, it didn't bother us, but it's worth noting when you're packing. 4) No kettle or tea coffee provided in rooms.

Everything is perfectly clean. Staff is very friendly and dedicated, Breakfast provides a decent variety and the staff is very efficient to refill everything quickly. The hotel building is not new, but it is very well maintained. Hotel parking was full, but the hotel provided a parking card, so we were able to park at the street. Hotel is located very close to the metro and train station and thanks to excellent Vienna public transportation system, it is easy to reach basically anything in the city.

The receptionist was exceptional. She guided us very well about the places of interest etc along with information about public transport connection which was disrupted due to recent floods just a few days before we visited. She was also kind to come the next day during breakfast to inform us that some information she was wasn't updated and there was a change in public transport etc etc. however that wasn't a problem as we had smoothly figured out during our sightseeing, but her gesture to come and mention about it again felt very kind and responsible towards the guests. We really liked our stay here.

I strongly recommend this hotel. There were four of us, and we all had an amazing experience during our short stay at Hotel An Der Wien. From the moment of our arrival, we were met with kindness, understanding, and exquisite hospitality. We had a long flight, came to Vienna quite early in the morning, and we were thoroughly exhausted. The lady at the reception was so kind to let us have an early check-in. And the lady in the restaurant went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The location is great as well, just a short walk to the metro. The breakfast was delicious with many options to choose from. Thank you very much for everything!

Lady at the reception very kind and surprised me how helpful she was. Quality she answered all our questions, arranged for us free parking around the hotel, explained the best way howto see most of city center in a couple of hours by walk. Hotel is a bit far from downtown but in a very strategic place, without changing metro (which is located 200 m far from the hotel) in 20 min we were at the Opera House , Karlplatz station. We walked down till the university and than back to the Karlplatz, through the St.Platz.

No slippers, poor breakfast and definitely would be nice to serve water during breakfast.

Convenient location at the end of the U4 train line to reach Vienna Central in just over 10 minutes Wonderful helpful Ladies at the reception and at the restaurant for the morning breakfast. Very accessible and practical on site car park.

Our room didn’t have block out curtains, only privacy ones. Nevertheless there are other rooms available on higher floors with exterior roller shutters

We liked free parking option, extremely comfy beds, really nice breakfast that we didn't expect in the beautiful salon, also super clean place and late check in option. It was quite and well isolated and we rested well before continuing our trip. Also, area is very safe. We will glad stay here again when passing through Vienna. Rooms are oldies but oldies, quality done and maintained! We loved that toilet and bathroom are separated and that bed was big so 2 of us could sleep with two tiny kids in it.

The exceptional staff displayed remarkable service by accompanying us with a breakfast box to the taxi on the day of our early departure (2 amazing ladies). Additionally, the rooms offered ample space and comfort. The breakfast is among the best in Vienna (various and delicious)

A little bit far from the city center but it's not a problem since it's located directly near the U transport aka metro station in Hütteldorf (barely 2min walk), all you have to do to reach the city center is to take u4 line then switch in karlsplatz station to u1 line and head to Stephensplatz station (main center), the duration of the trip 1 way is around 20 mins, so it is easily accessed Old style hotel but we enjoyed it
