I had an overall great stay. It was my 3rd time back and it will for sure not be my last time. Clean room, staff friendly and helpful, beautiful views and a beautiful room.
They are busy with renovations, so a liitle bit of noise. Also, because of the renovations, you had to drive into town for breakfast.

The Breakfast Vouchers for Cafe du Vin was a sufficient solution for the breakfast not running at Lavender Farm. The room was made up each day. The response to any complaints was dealt with in a timely fashion. The farm was beautiful and lovely to walk through.
There were some communication issues at the beginning of the trip. We were taken to a room that we had not booked (One without a bath after we specifically asked for a bath). The staff informed us that our room was available but the DSTV was not working. As this was not something we were concerned about, we went to the correctly booked room. What the staff did not mention is there was a branch that needed to be cut. With the wind on the first night, my wife couldn't sleep as the branch was scraping loudly on the roof. I asked the next morning the owner to please take care of this and when we arrived in the evening it was taken care of.

The place is beautiful. With its lavender fields and the pool and bar area, it is really giving off "summer holiday feels". And it felt lovely to be taking walks around or sitting by the pool to read a book and I truly enjoyed that. The staff were very helpful, kind and welcoming. I had a good night stay in their room next to the pool. The bed was comfortable. In the morning, the breakfast was really good. It's always nice when a place offers a wonderful breakfast and good service too! I'll make sure to visit next time when the lavenders are in full bloom.
My room was by the pool but also, next to the reception and behind the room, it seems, I am not sure, they also store a few things. And so when I woke up, I found a few employees passing right in front of my room, maybe to fetch stuffs or something. It's just a bit uncomfortable. I had then to keep the curtains drawn most of the time and the windows having blinds on them and not much of a view, it darkened the room a fair bit. I would choose a different room than that one next time. Also, it would be nice to fix the little leak in the bathroom (near the door).

beautifully and luxuriously appointed rooms, great attention to detail.
Unfortunately we weren’t informed that there was upgrading happening during our stay (this is understandable during winter as there is no other time to do so), so we couldn’t appreciate the entire experience but look forward to returning when the upgrades are complete.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lavender Cottage, and our experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality that set the tone for a memorable weekend getaway. The service was truly outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. They were not only professional but also genuinely friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Every request was met with a smile, and their attention to detail truly stood out. The location of Lavender Cottage is nothing short of enchanting. Nestled in a serene and picturesque setting, the cottage offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The well-maintained grounds are adorned with vibrant flowers and, true to its name, the fragrance of lavender fills the air, adding to the overall charm of the place. It's a perfect retreat for those seeking tranquility and a connection with nature. One of the highlights of our stay was the outstanding breakfast offered at Lavender Cottage. Each morning, we were treated to a delectable spread of fresh, locally sourced ingredients prepared with skill and creativity. The menu boasted a variety of options, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. The attention to quality and presentation was evident, and we found ourselves looking forward to breakfast each day. The accommodations were equally impressive. Our cottage was cozy, tastefully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The attention to cleanliness and the thoughtful touches in the room did not go unnoticed. In conclusion, Lavender Cottage exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of excellent service, an idyllic location, and an outstanding breakfast made our stay truly unforgettable. We left feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and grateful for the wonderful memories created!

We had a very nice 2 days staying here. We know Franschhoek very well and were moving house, so this was booked for us to use while we were getting our house ready. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was great. The weather was not good (raining for the 2 days we stayed), so we didn't use the pool or other facilities.
Our room was right next to reception and was pretty noisy, especially as there was some building work taking place. We will definitely stay here again, but would ask for another room.

If I could give 4,5 l would feel better. The guest house is located just slightly out of town but really peaceful. Stayed in room 3 and for the most, it was excellent. The room was brilliantly clean and spacious. The guest house is guarded in the evening Breakfast was included and really really good.
Just a few little details in the room that could be improved. The wall around the shower, rusty bin, flooring in the bedroom.

We were placed in one of the four beautiful new apartments on the site. Its layout and facilities were superb with a wonderful view over the lavender fields and pond. The manager and staff were exceptional and we were thrilled with the presentation of a bottle of sparkling wine to mark our wedding anniversary.
Minor issues but would be appreciated - water pressure in the bathroom a little low. Plates to go with the tea/coffee facilities. Provide a simple manual sheet explaining how to use the aircon/heater.

Incredibly beautiful property with well designed and laid out rooms. Incredible views across both the little dam and the mountains. Very comfortable beds.
It would have been helpful to know about the renovations before we arrived (the breakfast room is under renovations as are a few rooms) - this wasn't a train smash as they provided a voucher to a cute cafe in town for breakfast. Little touches would take this place from good to GREAT, IE: its a lavender farm, so why not put a few lavender sprigs on the pillow for turn down? Or in the Bathroom? In addition - they will need to sort out back up power. We weren't affected thankfully, but I know it wouldn't have been great if the only power source we had during load shedding was a magneto battery light.

Beautiful property, our rooms were very big and overlooked the lavender fields. I personally don’t think the pictures do it justice. The breakfast room has been refurbished and looks so much nicer than on their website in reality. Overall really beautiful
It’s not far from town but it’s difficult to get an Uber to town if you are having dinner out. I think it would be nice if guests were informed of taxi issues just to allow more time/planning.
