Good communication from the host prior to our arrival with information to enhance our stay. On street parking in front, good sized very clean & well decorated room with good facilities for our short stay. Super comfy bed with a good shower, tea & coffee facilities & liked the fridge. A nice little pub across the road serving good food with local characters

The church bell chimes during the night on the hour but nothing the host can do about that but I can be a light sleeper! :-)

Great location, easy to find and park on the road outside. Very quiet. Room was clean and spacious. Close to Richmond where lots of cafes for breakfast.

While the owners live on site, they didn’t even come and say hello. No ‘phone signal, it wasn’t until we tried an alternative WiFi that we could even send a WhatsApp message so I’m not sure why the other 2 were even listed as options. Green light on the ceiling was very bright at night and too high to cover up. Window in the door should have a Curtain, the light came in early in the morning. You definitely need an eye mask if you like to sleep in a dark room. Shame that they haven’t managed to open the cafe and fitness room yet.

We booked the 3 rooms as a family group booking as we had a wedding at the Yorkshire Barn wedding venue close by. Booked through booking.com was simple and easy, on arrival rooms were available with keys left in doors. All rooms were nice clean with tea and coffee facilities.

We stayed in room 2 which was sleightly larger as was known as the family room, my only disappointment was that we were unable to open the two skylight windows as they seemed to be firmly secured shut which made the room extremely stuffy and no natural light came through.

Gorgeous room, with lovely lounge area too. Extremely comfortable bed and a handy fridge. ....I have to add as well, as I just re-read my previous feedback from last time I stayed, when I said this wasn't as I expected ....the first time I came, it wasn't as expected - it was BETTER :) ....Thought I'd better clarify as looking back at what I wrote, I think it sounds too negative which I really didn't mean it to be ....sorry!!!!!

I've not been able to access my WhatsApp for a few weeks and just got back into it now, only to find the instruction telling me which room I was booked into (for this and my previous stay) ....just a word of warning, I guess, that I didn't get the message when WhatsApp wasn't working, so hope I didn't stay in the wrong room as I had to do some guess work when I arrived for the self service check in. Oh, also, I couldn't get the TV to work ....although it didn't matter really.

The room was spotless and well equipped with a great shower, plenty of socket and high speed internet. Easy check in/out. Unlike some hotels, plenty of coffee and milk (!), and a cooler unit for wine. There's a regular bus into Richmond, but the highlight for us are the walks and the nearby pubs.

Nothing at all, though I miss the pub (White Swan) that used to occupy the site !

Beautiful location, set in a lovely old stable type building which had so much character. The room was a good size for two and had a nice bathroom, perfect for the weekend stay. The host was extremely communicative and was able to help with any queries we had. The friends cat in the courtyard below was a cute addition to a great stay when it came to say hello!

Done with charme and individually decorated . Spacious. All mod cons working such as tv and Internet access. Good parking. Quiet. Lovely evening walks. Owner very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

It got very hot at night. Roof lights couldn’t be opened as too high up. We had to sleep with entrance door ajar to get air into the room .

The location was fantastic. I booked for a wedding and stayed the night before and night of the wedding. It’s a small village with a nice pub down the road. I had a problem with the lock on the door and although the owners were not at the property they were there very soon after I contacted them with the problem and this was sorted straight away. Friends had also booked to stay the night of the wedding and although the room/check in time was much later than needed there was no issue for the staff in having the room ready for the early arrival. I would definitely stay again.

On the day we stayed we were given flexibility over arrival time which was really helpful as we were going to a wedding. They also helped us with the number of a local taxi firm. Spacious, well equipped room. Very comfortable bed and bedding.

It was a bit strange not seeing anyone, but we were expecting it and all instructions were very clear. There was nothing we disliked.

As soon as we walked in it was like walking into a home. Decorated beautifully, giving it a cosy touch. The place was easy to find and parking was good too. I’d advice changing the shower head as it wasn’t powerful due to it leaking but was still able to shower so not a big issue

The bell chime every hour wasn’t the nicest 😅 but that can’t be helped
