The owners, Sue and Richard were very friendly, helpful and made our stay really enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The B&B was excellent. The bedroom, itself, was lovely comfortable, clean with plenty of storage, and a nice ensuite bathroom with hot shower. Tea and coffee facilities were available in the room. Pre-ordered breakfast was freshly cooked, tasty and plentiful. A good selection of cereals, fruits and yogurt were also available. Plenty of on-road parking opposite their house. An easy short 10 minute saunter into the Richmond Market square, where you can find plenty of excellent restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. There is a lot to see and do in Richmond itself as well as the surrounding countryside. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Overall a memorable and pleasurable experience. Would highly recommend a stay at Strawberry House.

Strawberry House is an excellent B&B situated on a quiet residential road overlooking the town and the river valley. This was our second visit and, as before, we had no difficulty in being able to park the car in the street outside the house. Strawberry House is run by charming people, Sue and Richard, and is very smart in terms of decor, furnishings etc. Our room was a decent size, very nicely furnished and equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast, which was pre-ordered the night before, is served in an attractive dining room and after some very nice fresh fruit salad and yogurt we both had cooked breakfasts which fully met my three simple requirements, ie good quality ingredients, perfectly cooked and nicely presented. On the second morning we opted for the Eggs Benedict which were also excellent and highly recommended. From our perspective Strawberry House ticks all the boxes perfectly. It is a lovely house; parking is easy; it is a short walk down delightful Frenchgate to the Market Place; it is also a short walk to beautiful Easby Abbey if you fancy a stroll; and as a bonus if you are feeling lazy - there is a very good pub at the top of Frenchgate.

Nothing - it was perfect.

Although located on the road there was parking almost right in front of the property both nights. The views across the valley and of the castle were superb. Sue, the host, was amazingly welcoming and couldn't do enough. Super clean and smartly decorated. The room and ensuite were bright, airy and both recently and tastefully decorated. Breakfast couldn't be bettered for choice, service and quality. Town centre and market place were sub 10 minutes walk. We had a great couple of days

Unfortunately, we were located at the back so we didn't get the views across the valley from the room. Ask for a room at the front.

1, the vendors were lovely friendly people. 2, the room was spotlessly clean and warm and the complimentary trayed topped up every day 3, the breakfasts were exceptional. My partner says they were the best cooked full english breakfast he's had. There were other options to to choose from 4, its a lovely walk into the town, slightly hilly but ok 5, overall we had a great weekend and without a doubt if we visit Richmond again. Strawberry house is where we will stay

This was a fantastic experience, the hosts, Sue and Richard, were really welcoming. The room was great with just the right amount and type of furniture, with everything really well thought out, to the last detail of fresh milk being provided in a communal fridge on the landing for making tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room.The room was tidied each day and new provisions provided. The breakfast in the morning was superb, with a breakfast cooked to order from a list selected from the night before. There was also fresh fruit salad and yogurt, a selection of cereals, fruit juice, marmalade and jam for toast provided for the breakfast. Sue seemed disappointed with me that I didn't seem to want to try her eggs Benedict, although I was planning to. I had them for my final breakfast and again they were superb. This is now my go to place when I am visiting Richmond and is probably the best B&B I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in quite a few.

Incredible hospitality and communication from the owners. I was running late and they were so understanding at check-in. The room was just perfect and felt like a home away from home (even meeting the cats and Pepper the dog!). Breakfast was perfect, plenty of options. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, from the moment I booked.

Everything was just perfect.

The hosts were lovely people & very friendly. The room was a good size with a good en-suite with an excellent shower! There was plenty of tea & coffee, biscuits & some complimentary humbugs! The towels were lovely & large to wrap around yourself when getting out of the shower! The beds were comfortable & there was no outside noise.

Sue and Richard were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The room was of a good size and so was the en-suite. Bed was comfortable, and housekeeping was provided daily. Fridge was located on the large landing for guests use. Had fresh milk provided for tea/coffee. Ironing facilities on the landing. Hairdryer in rooms. Breakfast was at a time to suit, and you were given a form to complete each evening identifying what your preference was, and how you wanted it cooking if you you chose to have a cooked breakfast. Other options available.

Lovely comfortable room. Had the best nights sleep I've had in a long time..lovely bedding. Spotlessly clean. A lovely comfortable room. Amazing breakfast and lovely friendly hosts. nl Nothing was too much trouble. The house was absolutely beautiful. The location is a good 10-15 minute walk which for us was no problem but obviously this is personal preference to how close you want to be. Richmond is a lovely place with lots to choose from in pubs and eateries.

I actually can't think of anything I didn't like.

Our first impressions were excellent and easy to find. Hosts were friendly, professional and helpful with our queries of the surrounding areas. Loved watching the birds feeding through the window whilst having our lovely well cooked Breakfast. Would highly recommend. Thanks.
