Fabulous, delightful and helpful staff, couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was memorable. Beautiful location down an historic cobbled street in Richmond. Great recommendations for evening meal, didn't disappoint....Fabulous breakfast (loved the Eggs Benedict!), couldn't have been more helpful in storing cheese we had returned with from a cheese course in nearby Reeth (run by the irrepressible Simon Lacey, check him out too!) and supplied copious quantities of newspaper the following day to wrap up the cheese and keep it cool for the long journey home (thank you, Melissa!)

Location was ideal for our purpose of a family wedding weekend. Especially as I was travelling with friends who rented Air B&B opposite

Thought it was high price, particularly the breakfast at nearly £17 and a glass of wine on the wine list was very high. Weatherspoons just around the corner!! When the sun is up, you're up as blinds do not block the light and room extremely hot later on in the day. Disappointed for friends who were put in the Annexe with no en-suite and damp and mould on the walls of their room. Totally Unacceptable and spoilt the ambience. They were moved having complained but had to pay a £20 daily supplement for an available upgraded room.

Hotel was central. Our upgraded room was lovely, very spacious, clean.

The room we booked (standard double, without breakfast) on booking.com stated private bathroom. We were told when we checked in that it didn’t have a private bathroom but had a shower head coming out the wall. We were told by the gentleman on reception that he would upgrade us to a superior double with not having a private bathroom, however, we had to order a breakfast from him to get the superior room. We ordered the breakfast even though on our confirmation it stated standard double with private bathroom.

Georgian property situated on a lovely street in the centre of Richmond. The hotel is well appointed with a lounge and breakfast area for guests. We booked a large executive double room which was very comfortable, with excellent en suite facilities. All of the hotel was clean, and breakfast was of good quality with a full range of traditional and continental options available. All staff were courteous and friendly during our stay.

Nothing. Only small issue was slower internet coverage throughout the hotel, and our room would benefit from additional lighting.

Was away for work and this fit the bill perfectly - room was a fair size, all the facilities you'd need were present and correct and the stay was absolutely fine. The host was very friendly and welcoming, and showed me to my room and told me everything I'd need to know about my room (including, interestingly, the heat pads behind the mirrors in the bathroom that stopped it from steaming up post-shower.) The breakfast was decent too.

Parking was very difficult, I had to park some distance away in front of someone else's property, and then move my car closer to the hotel later on. The host did say there was hotel parking somewhere but it wasn't clear where. There were some lights in my room I was unable to easily turn off, including an LED light underneath a rack that was actually broken and being held up by sellotape. All nitpicks, honestly, the room in general was clean and fine and nothing really bothered me.

I had a pleasant welcome from David. Check in was smooth and quick. David showed me the room and explained how things work in the room and was very helpful. The room was adequate for a single person. Coffee , Tea and other amenities were excellent. Bed was comfortable.

Even though the room good and bed comfortable the windows are not sound proof. I could hear the noise of the truck and cars outside. Even though the traffic is not busy but was disturbed the noise from the vehicles. The WiFi is not constant as well , the signal sometimes stronger and sometimes difficult even to connect.

Lovely smart hotel (B & B) in very central location for town center. Easy parking at the rear of the hotel and at the front on the main street. Very quiet main street. Decor in the main hotel was lovely and the garden at the rear was delightful. David the Host was very informative and had a great sense of humour. Other staff very friendly as well. Breakfast was superb with the best scrambled egg ever. Cooked as it should be. Bed very comfy and large.

Our bedroom was a bit like a cellar with low ceilings although it was on the ground floor but was seperate to the hotel off the main street. It was small but comfy enough. I think we had the last room that night which I imagine was not up to the standard of the other bedrooms. I think the price was too high for the room we had. No shower in the bathroom but we had a soak in the nice roll top bath which made a great change. Overall we had a great stay and would return. Please be aware that the hotel does not do evening meals. Websites are a bit misleading unless you read them well. I think the clue is in the Hotel description but this is being corrected.

This is a smaller hotel with a nice homely feel about it. Located in a very quiet part of town, it was ideal for a peaceful night's sleep in a very comfortable room. The breakfast was good and cooked to order. The staff were very helpful. They have a car park at the back, but it would be difficult to find, hence a top tip here is to get directions beforehand.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, good breakfast cooked to order. Room was made up while I was having breakfast, the tea. coffee, milk, hot chocolate, biscuits were resupplied daily. I was with other members of my family and we were all made to feel very welcome.

Shower was compact and it took a bit of trial and error to find out how the thermal valve worked

The staff were excellent; genuinely friendly and helpful and the owner couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome. The room was warm and comfortable and was spotless on our arrival. The location of the hotel couldn’t be better. It was just a short walk from the main town square, which had plenty to offer.

The bar could have been better set up. It would have been good to have had a choice of at least one hand pulled ale and the prices were pretty high for a small town venue.
