Every aspect of my stay was absolutely brilliant. My journey up was very delayed, however I had a lovely phone call to check how I was getting on and even though I was late checking in, it wasn't a problem. I arrived and could park directly outside, was welcomed in and showed around with no detail left out. The bed was comfortable, room was large, spotless bathroom with an amazing shower with perfect pressure. There was even a little cold water fridge with fresh milk. I was given great advice on where to eat, walk and what to see, nothing was a problem. Towels were large and fresh, tv was great too. There was a large selection of breakfasts, and I picked the full English which was cooked fresh for me and was delicious. I was stuffed but couldn't not try the home made jam either. Just to top the visit off, I was even helped to reverse off the driveway onto the main road which was so helpful and perfect way to wave me off.

Host was very welcoming. Happy to help with local knowledge. Recommended restaurants for dinner. We went to Capri Italian, which was excellent. The room was warm and bed comfortable (small double though). Very clean. Tea and coffee facilities. Nice big bathroom and large shower, plenty of hot water. Good home cooked breakfast. Nice to be able to park on the drive. We enjoyed our stay.

The double bed was a small double, but it was comfortable.

Nice quiet ensuite room on top floor at back of owner's cottage so no traffic noise. Parking on site on drive much appreciated. Only 10 minutes walk (for us) into town centre for pubs and restaurants. Good sized breakfast and Sheila very friendly and helpful host with eating out recommendations. Enjoyable one night stay on way back from Northumberland holiday.

Cosy but with good, modern facilities. We loved the conservatory and the garden especially. Lovely situation. Everything we could want in village with shops, pubs and restaurants. Beautiful countryside for walks.around the village. Peaceful and people friendly. Not far from coast and many inland attractions too.

Stairs rather steep for "oldies". Could have done with a few more water glasses. (Guess some were broken by past guests!)

Everything perfect.Sheila is lovely and it’s a real home from home.Warm,cosy,spotlessly clean.Everything works.Location is excellent being near Richmond town centre,the castle,Easby Abbey and lots of other things to visit and do.Sheila has lots of information and even a pass for parking in the market square although it’s a short walk to town and you can park on Sheila’s drive.Breakfast was wonderful,lovely fresh local products,and fabulous smoked salmon and scrambled egg on muffin!Lots of fresh fruit and toast.Would definitely return.Thanks Sheila😍

We enjoyed our one night stay at Last Cottage. Wish it could have been longer. Sheila was very welcoming. Our room was very clean and comfortable and a good size modern bathroom. We had a delicious breakfast, plenty of it. Fresh fruit, yogurt and cereal plus a special treat of home made gooseberry jam with our toast, wonderful. The smoked salmon and scrambled egg muffin was excellent. Would stay again if ever up in Richmond.

We were very happy with our stay. We had no complaints.

The Last Cottage is close to the town, just around a 15 minute walk. We were able to park in front of the cottage. The host Sheila was so friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. Breakfast was excellent with good choices.

Everything was great, you’d have to be really picky not to like this B&B

The B &B was in an ideal spot for this part of our journey. It was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was great. We would be happy to stay there again if the occasion arose. The Hostess was helpful and pleasant.

Sheila is an absolute gem of a host. She was so helpful offering recommendations and answering questions about the area and she cooks extremely fresh and tasty breakfasts. The b&b is very homely and comfortable and the bathroom was great with a nice strong shower. Cannot fault a thing.
