This first floor deluxe dome suite was amazing and so unique! It was way beyond our expectations! Nothing like we have ever stayed in before in all of our travels. The hosts were very friendly and helpful in explaining all of the amenities available in the room ... like the sauna (which we definitely used!) and gave us helpful hints as to where we should eat, see the sites and shop, etc.!! We give this hotel/suite a 10 plus and highly recommend it to everyone who would want to experience a very different, breathtaking, and relaxing stay while visiting Rethymno, Crete.

Everything was perfect!!!

The room was gorgeous, exactly like the pictures. Very spacious with beautiful tile work. The hamam was such a treat and staff took the time to explain how it works. We had late arrival and staff communicated well and made sure we were able to get into our room. Also provided many helpful restaurant recommendations. So thoughtful! Also provided beach towels upon request. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. Very nice bath products provided. Very convenient location in Old Town- a short walk to the beach and many great attractions.

Not a huge issue but the shower doesn’t have a lip around the bottom, so when you shower the bathroom floor gets a bit wet.

Beautiful suite! Literally could not have asked for better layout, decor, and atmosphere of the suite and lobby. Right in the centre of Old Town and less than 10 minute walk from the main bus station, which was perfect because I had lots of luggage. The room felt like a small flat, so private and secure. (was constantly moving so unable to take many pictures).

Only critique I have is that the sockets constantly overheated my chargers and devices, and took forever to charge.

Michalis' customer service was second to none, met with a smile each day, extremely helpful and always received a lovely greeting from Michalis' father each evening. On one occasion Michalis couldn't find us a suitable winery visit and went above and beyond to appease the situation (wine involved). The property couldn't have been in a better position, 5 minutes walk from the fortress (a little up-hill), 5 minutes walk from the port and 15 minutes walk through the town or along the sea front to the beginning of the town beach (2 x sunbeds, table & umbrella 10 euros with drinks/food available delivered to your sunbed) and nearest bars/tavernas 1 minute walk (would take months to work through all the different ones). We stayed in Hyacinth (1st floor) which is extremely spacious, air-con very good, mini kitchen helpful (complimentary tea, coffee etc until shop located), shower large and powerful, patio area spacious although spa bath needs a little TLC but worked ok (takes approx. 45 mins to fill). Head to Sunset bar on other side of fortress if you want the sunset.

I stayed in the hamam room and it was so worth it! Using a hamam is such a luxury. They provided robes, slippers and hamam towels. The dome has cutouts that let in natural light and created a warm ambiance. The bathroom shower was large with good water pressure. The room was also large. In hot weather, the many marble surfaces (floor and bench seats) offer a great place to get cool and relax. There's a phyllo dough factory a short walk down the alley opposite from the front door. I had the best baklava from them.

This was a fabulous experience. The hotel is family run and their prime aim seems to be to keep this historic building in its remarkable state. Having one’s own steam bath in a beautifully preserved moorish room is something I will remember for along time

Those sensitive to daylight may want to bring an eye mask as curtains or blinds are not feasible over the multiple small glass features in the beautiful roof. However lying there admiring it was very relaxing

This hotel is a rare gem hidden in the old town of Rethymno. Walking into our deluxe suite with Hammam with its beautiful furniture and decor and our own private steam room, took us back in time and was absolutely magical! The domed ceiling had small skylight that looked like stars and the solid walls provided such peace even though we were right in the middle of the town. The amenities included what was needed for coffee and tea, bathrobes and slippers and sandals and peshtemal towels for the steam room. Our host, Michalis, was a true gracious gentleman, very knowledgeable and so very helpful (efcharisto, Michalis for everything!). We would rate this hotel 20/10 if we could and we would definitely stay here again!

Wow, this place was amazing. Our room had the private Hammam--Turkish steam room, plus the domed ceiling with skylights. Exotic, comfortable. Like stepping into a different world. Location was central to shops and restaurants and the harbor, with parking a short distance away. One of the most charming places we stayed.

The concierge had very limited English, and his son, who was the main translator, was away. But we managed to check in. However, it would have been super helpful to have a guide to using the hammam and its various tools. Even more helpful would have been a heads up after our booking on what things to bring to increase the enjoyment, such as scrubs, lotions, aromatherapy bits.

Nice and clean b&b in the old city center of Rethymno. The location is fantastic and allow you to reach by walk any part of the old town. You cannot reach by car the structure, but a 10min by walk there is the Municipal Garden where you can find some space (free or paying).

The rooms are clean and nice furnished, but some small details (due to usage, e.g. slow sink) should be improved. Sometime the wifi did not work.

Wow, the room was fantastic and so unique. We took advantage of the hammam and having it in our room was simply incredible. The staff was super friendly, carefully told us understanding how the hammam works and helped us with all our requests, including keeping our luggage there while visiting the city and telling us the best places where to eat. Very quiet. Recommended!

The room doesn't really have a window, but that's not a big deal
