Our room was spotless and comfortable with a private bathroom. The room was not huge but we were not expecting it to be. The shared areas are very nice, there's board games and a small breakfast (yogurt, cereal, tea and coffee). The location is great and everything was very clean and tidy.

I went on Booking.com the day we were arriving (July 5) and found the same room for $176 CAD less than what I paid when I made my reservation in early February. I messaged the guesthouse to ask why and the response I received hours later was that it was a Booking.com error. Funny, I didn't have a problem on any other Booking.com reservations in Iceland.

Nice area to stop over night while driving the ring road. A couple great casual fish and chip places hit the spot after a long day. Room was spacious and clean. Beds very comfortable. Large bathroom. The cereal/milk/juice/coffee was a treat and not offered at most places we stayed. Large fridge in the kitchen where guests labeled small items with their name if they choose. Parking was full when we arrived so we parked across the street. Not sure if that was allowed but the car was still there in the morning..I thought this place was way too expensive when we booked, however now having almost completed the whole ring road, you get what you pay for.

The location was perfect, right in the heart of Höfn, with easy access to restaurants, the harbor, and local attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the entire property was clean and well maintained.

As an American traveler, I’m used to a certain level of comfort, and while I did have a private bathroom, other aspects like room size and overall amenities were more modest than what I’m used to. That said, this is typical for the region. If you expect luxury or lots of personal space, reset your expectations and embrace the experience. It’s part of the charm of traveling in this part of the world.

Very clean and friendly guest house with everything you need to cook your own meals. Tea, coffee, cereal and yoghurt are free and available 24/7. I was impressed by the staff who was looking for every crumble during the morning and immediately clean after you. I cooked pasta and said lady that I’ll clean pot after I take my breakfast. When I came back to the kitchen I didn't find anything except spotless surface. I felt ashamed. If you are doing the Ring Route, I highly recommend staying here for the night.

This charming guesthouse is so comfortable and clean. It's got nice bathrooms, comfy beds and linens, and the eating area/kitchen is well equipped. The breakfast is great, with many options! It's perfectly situated in the tiny town of Höfn, with stellar glacier views close by. The staff is friendly and gave us a warm greeting. We've been here before and it was great to be back... we'll be back again!

Honestly, I can't think of anything! Our stay was really wonderful.

loved the personal touches at this property. you can tell upon arrival the hosts are fun; just look at the decor on the property! the kitchen was great and nice to be able to spread out in the shared facility. we stayed upstairs and loved having a common area to sit that wasn't in our room. the location is great, too. we could walk everywhere and didn't have to drive once parked. my children also loved the location to the local playground. love how safe the town is.

Location is great, close to the harbor walking paths and restaurants. On a good weather day, the view of glaciers across the bay is outstanding. Alas, the weather was rubbish during our stay this year. Shared kitchen is a great asset. Breakfast is minimalist but sufficient for us. There are scant options in Höfn. There is a Netto grocery a half block away. Other guests were diverse, quiet, friendly. Bed was excellent.

I had reserved a room with a double or two twins, but instead got a room with three twins, which meant that there was no room for chairs and that we spent a lot of time reading on our beds in the bad weather. There was no one to talk to because of the no-contact check in - the only human being one sees is the housekeeper in the morning.

No surprises. Good value for the money. Cleaning comfortable room.

Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and owners had to be called to come to the property to shutoff. Maybe caused by a short power outage? Unfortunate, but I can report they have a really nice fire alarm system. They did knock on everyone’s door and checked on them. It wouldn’t stop me from staying there again as they were nice people .

The owner was friendly. We left the key in the room and locked ourselves out. We called him and he came back for us openning the door in minutes. The locatIon is good with short walking distance to beach. Our room has a glass door entrance outside the street. We were lucky seeing northern lights through the door and walked to the beach taking photos. The guesthouse also provided free milk and cereal for breakfast which is a bonus.

The bathroom was really big and clean. The shampoo and shower gel provided were nice. The bed was comfortable. There was free tea, coffee, juice and cookies provided in the lounge. There was a large supermarket right next door that was within walking distance. The host was friendly.

The shared kitchen was a bit unclean. The knives didn't cut well, and the cutting boards looked like they needed replacing. The fridge smelled bad, I was reluctant to store food in it.
