Great location in the centre of Marlborough. Really comfortable beds and thick, quality bedding - we slept really well. Plentiful hot water in the bathroom - very nice room with a mixture of antique and modern furniture, and everything we needed, including facilities to make tea.
The Lamb was perfect for a night's stay before we went off to visit Avebury. The owners left cereals, apples and sparkling water out for us, as we requested, so we could make our own breakfast. I liked the Lamb a lot and would recommend it. There was nothing I didn't like.

This is an old school pub and inn, located in an older set of buildings. My room was called “Stable” so I assume that building was a renovated stable from years ago. The location was great, the pub and the inn had a local charm. The staff was friendly, the food in the pub was very good, the atmosphere of the pub and the garden patio was lovely, fun, and very typical of a popular local pub. The room was comfortable, attractive, and though everything was quite old, served me really well. I enjoyed a really fun afternoon and evening here and rested well. I would return.
The bathroom was very small and with the exception of a towel and a tiny amount of liquid soap, was very sparsely equipped. It was also in need of some basic maintenance and care. Otherwise everything was fine for me. I would note that although it did not bother me at all (quite the contrary - I loved it) the garden patio and the pub are both popular and loud. Great fun, really. But if someone is looking for a quiet, tranquil place, this is probably not the place for them. My room - which I really liked - had almost no sound protection from the pub/patio and that area was active and loud well into the night. Again, that was fun for me and I thought I was really fortunate to have chosen this really fun place. But it likely wouldn’t appeal to those seeking solitude and quiet.

The rooms were nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic. Great value for money. The service we received was well above and beyond expectation which really made our stay perfect.
The stairs up to the bedrooms were a bit narrow and the room was as not modern. These were not major concerns for us. In fact, we found this charming. The linens were clean and we felt secure which all that really mattered to us.

Location was superb bar staff great and the landlord's were great to always asking if things were ok and if we wanted anything and the room was clean tidy but what I liked is that the lamb Inn is nearly 300 years old the bedding was clean and so we're the toilets and shower
The only problem i had is that because the building is very old the floorboards were uneven so had to pop a book under one leg to level my single bed

Breakfast was good and the breakfast staff were particularly friendly which made for a good start to the day
My son and I did have a bit of a laugh. There was a big party on that evening which was rather noisy. But it didn't bother us as we had had a great day and the staff were just great. And the party crowd were great as well so we were pleased that it all went well. We would definitely stay there again if we are back in Marlborough.

We arrived to find Booking.com had double-booked the room and we weren't expected by the pub, despite an email to say we were ! The staff at the Lamb dealt with this very competently and within about 20 minutes found us a room which was extremely comfortable and nothing to find fault with. The full English breakfast the next morning was excellent.
Service at breakfast was perhaps a little slow and one or two things had not been put out (marmalade?)......but we weren't in any great hurry and it wasn't a problem for us - we were quite happy with our stay.

The Lamb Inn was nice hotel close to the centre of town. I believe it was the best pub in town. There was a great restaurant next door Dan's where I had supper. In the morning I looked for a Cafe to have breakfast. All of them were closed, but opened at 9.00..can you believe it? I did not wait, and eventually I found a cafe just 3 min from the Hotel! (next to Starbucks). Beautiful Croissant, Strawberry Jam, a Pot of Tea, and free newspaper to read... a magical stay!

This is a family owned, traditional pub. The landlady is a fantastic host and really looked after us. Expect friendly locals playing darts, a fruit machine and sport on the telly. There are fancier hotels in Marlborough but everything worked and we had a comfortable room.

New owners here who were very friendly and welcoming. The bed was comfy. Breakfast choice was brilliant and the excellent full English was hot and beautifully presented.
Bathroom ... Toilet seat was loose and light was flickering but as we were only there for the night it didn't matter too much.

This is an ancient, urban pub, so don’t expect frills, but there’s a friendly atmosphere, excellent breakfast and super-comfortable bedding. Excellent location in the heart of Marlborough.
Room was a bit of a squeeze and service a bit DIY.
