Pleasant, comfy and spacious room, definitely better than I expected and with a useful microwave and hot shower. The manager was pleasant and helpful and this place provides simple, basic and unassuming but clean, pleasant and comfortable accommodation in a good location for Central Southport's Lord Street. Marine Lake and green spaces are a short walk in one direction and the well-known Lord Street on the other. Pleasant Thai restaurant, nice pubs, fish & chip shops No complaints or whinges about this pleasant place which has always gone out of its way to welcome me, though it is a matter of fact to state there is very little flexibility on later check-outs here (paid or not). For various (entirely good) reasons there's no flex and if you need a few more hours, you need to book a full extra night.

Great location from the station and shopping centre.. and from the beach! Which we found other fun things along the way to do. Such as funland and crazy golf. Chris is amazing.. nothing was too much trouble, and allowed us an extra half an hour to check out which was much appreciated when there was 4 of us. Room was comfortable.. with an ensuite bathroom.. and a little kitchen area with a fridge, microwave etc. I didn't get the lady's name (sorry) she was also amazing... called on us every morning to make sure we had what we needed, tea, sugar, milk etc! Superstars.. thank-you.. we will be back!

The only comment I have to make is that in the mornings an awful smell from the bathroom..

We like it all. Room was a good size. Beds were comfy/warm. Location was great right nexted to everything. Staff were really nice and always made sure we had everything we needed. Water temperature was good. Room had tv, microwave, kettle, fridge which was great for keeping cold drink in the room and making snacks if kids got little peckish. Very clean and great hygiene. Rooms looked very new and modern. Would most definitely recommend this place and would stay again. 10/10 for me. One of the best places we've stayed in.

Cant really fault the place in all honest. We loved it.

The room was warm, cosy and fairly spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful, Free parking on site. Wi Fi that works. Flat screen tv with familiar free view channels we are used too. Kettle, free tea coffee sugar and milk provided. The town centre is nearby but its not noisy. We have stayed here before and like this hotel its extremely good value.

We would suggest the availability of a microwave would make our stay complete, so we could heat up ready meals, but its very rare to find in hotels possibly considered an additional fire risk / insurance consideration. Access is in the main via stairs, we mention it only as it could be an issue for travellers with mobility considerations.

This hotel is in an excellent location, Very good value for money, Owner and staff we're very friendly, Take some of the negative reviews with a pinch of salt as we could not really fault this place Had a great holiday while here. Would definitely stay here again 👍👍

The only negative I could give would be the double bed in the room needed the bed frame tightening up as it was very creaky and moved around abit, The mattress was comfortable though, Apart from that everything else was great.

Clean spacious room, friendly helpful staff. Free on site parking. free Wi Fi that works. Cosy well heated room. Flat screen TV, Kettle, cups tea coffee milk provided. Very competitive good value price for room. Highly recommended.

If possible a microwave in the room would make it perfect but its really ever available in any hotel accommodation, possibly considered an additional fire risk, but its worth mentioning. There are many very nice microwaveable meals available now as good as eating out but far cheaper in our experience. Access is in the main via stairs, we only mention it as some travellers it may be an issue.

Very clean room. Comfy bed. As a lone, lady traveller, I felt very safe. I was able to dead lock the Yale lock on my side of the door.

Hotel was advertised as ‘free parking’ but that was only when one of the two car spaces were not occupied - or - as it case of one night, someone had parked their slap-bang in the middle of the two spaces! Otherwise, the ‘free’ street parking is only from 6pm-8am. This should be made clear.

On arrival there was a phone number on the door to ring if nobody was there. Rang the number and within 2 mins the owner was there to let us in. Explained everything to us, and handed the keys over, the room was as described in the advert. Bonus of there being a mini fridge in the room. The room was large enough, bed OK, bathroom a tad on the small side but not a big deal. The place was very quiet and central

The curtains didn't close properly in the middle at the top, seems there are some blocks stopping it from meeting in the middle, again, not a massive deal

This is still my favourite and affordable place to stay for work. The staff are nice and even gave a discount to my colleague who booked last minute. They were also considerate of our night shifts and made sure housekeeping didn’t disturb us during the day. That was very thoughtful.

Richmond House, is a great hotel as you are central to Southport town centre and the train station! The hotel is clean and quite with car parking outside. The manger, is a nice guy who is friendly and nothing is to much trouble if you need anything! This is my second time in staying here and yes I would come back again!!

I have no complaints!
