Breakfast was fantastic, we had dinner on site too however the restaurant was closed both days so we had to eat in the bar. The pillows were the best I have had in a hotel!
The only odd thing was the room layout, you walk in and there was a big wardrobe right away, seemed odd to have that right in the doorway, but that is really nitpicking.

The location is very good, you can easily walk to all the important landmarks of the city. The area is very busy, even at 4AM there were many people on the street enjoying the end of their night out. The rooms are well equipped and modern and the gym in the building was well equipped and empty in the morning.
The breakfast did not have too many choices besides the Traditional English Breakfast and the staff was very busy, so there was big waiting time to find a table and to restock what was already missing from the buffet. We also had dinner on one of the evenings in the hotel and I would not recommend that - I think the waiters were a little rude and inpatient.

Warm welcome. Very helpful, informative staff. Excellent location. All transport just a short walk. Close to theatre, shops, pubs and restaurants. Slight noise from nearby gay bars which meant we couldn’t leave window open overnight but think you have to expect a certain degree of city noise when staying in the centre of things. Lovely refreshments in the room inc scrummy Border biscuits. Lovely toiletries provided. Comfy bar area with nice atmosphere. Just two tiny niggles…. Our waste bin was still full of plastics and the loo hadn’t been cleaned properly (saw housekeeper so advised and she was very apologetic - by the time we got back to our room it had been sorted) Suggestions; inc a loo brush and a lick of waterproof paint on the ceiling in the bathroom, paint peeling off. Would defo stay here again.

The restaurant was busy but staff were very attentive and clearing tables quickly. Cleanliness was excellent. A good range of breakfast items although they were very biased towards a cooked breakfast. The continental breakfast had just cheese and I presume ham( it had run out) as well as a very thinly sliced chicken meat. Generally staff were, pleasant, helpful and attentive. Having said all that we loved the hotel, it’s convenience to visit other places. It was modern, light and very clean. We have already decided to visit again, probably in late summer.
Already mentioned my feelings about breakfast. There were a few small issues which we mentioned to staff when leaving, such as a light not working , bathroom tap very loose and the drawer with kettle and drinks was broken. For me personally I gave comfort 4 stars because I would have liked a choice of pillows. All the pillows in our room very firm with little give.

Location excellent Clean and room amazing
Had a wonderful break until we tried to book breakfast on our last day. We rang reception to book restaurant but was annoyed to be told as we hadn't pre booked that we would be classed a "walk ins" and would be charged £18.00 each instead of £14.00 on website. I explained we were staying on the hotel and asked why the increase in price? Felt this was unfair as we had paid for 2 deluxe rooms. We were celebrating my daughters 18th birthday 🎂 🥳. We felt this spoilt our stay but left the hotel and went for breakfast in a lovely restaurant You should look at your pricing for residents.

Breakfast was good but attention to small details need addressing. Room was great spacious and very comfortable again it is attention to details that need addressing
The room didn't seem to be checked over to endure everything worked. TV was switched off. Safe fix not have all the batteries to ensure it worked. Dining room breakfast - dirty mugs placed on clean shelf still had lipstick marks, residue in the bottom. Not 1 or 2 but a mass. Refills were very slow at times. Housekeeping was sloppy. Floors not mopped bathroom counter not wiped just again attention to detail.

The hotel is in a great location in Manchester, easy to walk to from stations, and very close to food, shops and bars. The room was a good size and had a window that opened, which is a rare treat in hotels these days. We had accidentally booked an accessible room, but a member of staff swapped this for us on arrival. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold food.
The shower isn't a fully enclosed space, so you're watching to see if you flood the bathroom every time. Thankfully, we didn't. You have to check yourself in and out of the hotel which made it feel a little less personal. I would say the hotel was slightly more expensive than I would have hoped for, but as a treat it would be a nice place to stay.

The lovely lady who was on reception when I checked in found me a high floor room so I could see the city scape view, especially good at night time. Nicely located in the centre of the city, adjacent to a multi-storey car park and national express coach terminus, ideal for any transport links. The bar and breakfast restaurant were well planned, clean, and spacious to cope with all visitors. All staff in the hotel were really pleasant and helpful. Online check-in and out is available, but I didn't make use of these.
In the room, one wall was completely curtained, so I expected a full window and was surprised when the window only covered about a third of the wall. The shower was great with a choice of handheld or waterfall shower heads, but the toilet was difficult to use as it was behind the open bathroom door and facing a wall. I think it would have been more sensible and comfortable if it had faced into the room.
