I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast

As a first time user of the free shuttle I didn’t realise I needed to ring, so I waited 30 minutes. Then I rang and still had to wait another 30 minutes in the cold and dark. Because I was walking up and down, I was standing in the wrong place when the bus finally arrived. I think there needs to be better signage where to wait.

Lovely modern, comfortable & clean. Easy check in. Loved the convenience of onsite restaurant & cafe. Comfortable bed much appreciated after a long day of travel. Very quiet considering proximity to airport.

Very new and modern. Lovely air conditioned room and ideal for an airport overnight stay.

Bit apprehensive before arriving as to whether I would be able to find it okay as Google Maps seems to show it as Novotel when you use the walking mode. Must admit I am still confused as to whether the establishment is Ibis or Novotel or both but I spotted the building in the distance as bus arrived then found a couple of location signs along the way. Check in assistant was very direct and hardly made eye contact. Appeared distracted with another staff member monitoring the movements of another guest. Would be helpful if there was a condominium in room as I ended up going back to airport terminal for a meal and whilst there received an email promoting the facility.

The ibis Melbourne Airport is a great choice for stopover travellers or those with very early flights out of Melbourne. The room was impeccably clean and organised. While small, for one night it was ideal. Good value for money and took all the stress out of 7am flight. Breakfast in the cafe below the hotel was great value too.

Check in is fully automated, and while I found it easy to use, having a friendly face at check in is important. A guy was fixing one of the check in machines, he didn't turn around, say hello, ask if I needed to be guided through the process. Even at airports where self check in is common now, they still have people on hand to help out.

The buffet breakfast was exceptional, two choices of resteraunt for dinner was just incredible given it was at the airport. Fantastic Live music at their pub style resteraunt. The whole facilities were tremendous, beautifully furnished and so close to the airport so an early morning flight was a breeze. I even had to check what kind of pillows they were using on the beds because they were so good. The staff members were exceptionally friendly and were able to hold our bags for the day to explore melbourne before our rooms were ready. I wouldn't consider anywhere else in Melbourne for my stay. Perfect all around

The shuttle bus booking system was a little clunky having to call for it to arrive. This is really minor because it really is just super close to the airport so we walked anyway without a problem

Great location within walking distance from the terminal buildings, attentive staff, simple but functional rooms, breakfast was excellent - much better than your standard hotel buffet. Gym and pool facilities were great (had to pay a small fee to use)

We arrived quite late and I wanted to contact the concierge from my room to ask for an extra pillow. They don't have phones in the rooms, but provide QR code which takes you to a whatsapp chat. However no one responded to my question. Even by the following morning, I still hadn't had a response, I just received unhelpful automated messages. Very frustrating when they are claiming to use a more modern and efficient use of communication but it clearly doesn't work.

Very quiet despite being right next to the airport. Newer hotel. Front desk were very efficient and friendly. The room was very clean.

Unfortunately we had a very bad experience in the restaurant and when we stay again, we wouldn't eat there. Whilst the restaurant was busy, patrons turned up after us and receive their meals long before us. We had only ordered 2 mains and a glass red and white wine. We had to ask twice if our food was coming anytime soon and we're told, "another 2 minutes". After 1 hour and our food still hadn't come, we had to ask yet again. When it did arrive, the Cockerel was dry, burnt and lukewarm and I couldnt finish it. My husband had the pasta and he said it was ok.. It was not worth the cost or the extensive time waiting for it to arrive. Shame, we are staying at the hotel again very soon but will not eat at this restaurant.

Cleanliness, modern and comfortable bed. Ease of checking in, but the screen lagged a little and didn’t always register each letter. Better direction and signage would have been helpful as it is in the same area as the Novotel.

After calling to be picked up from airport, I was instructed to go to pick up area. When no one arrived, I was told the company had finished for the night and make my own way (less than 15 min from original call). Ok, 1030 pm, but poor form after organising. Staff inside the airport couldn’t tell me where the hotel was and sent me in wrong direction toward a different Ibis hotel. So left wandering in the cold and dark with heavy luggage - feeling vulnerable as a single female on an inadequately lit walk. Finally found my way with a helpful taxi driver directions.

Perfect location for airport - we walked (ten minutes) from the hotel to the terminal and it was super easy, but they also have a shuttle. Beds are really comfortable, the room was impeccably clean and there’s great noise insulation from outside / other rooms / aircraft. Perfect place if you’re flying out early.

Member of staff was really rude as we checked in - no hello, no smile, absolutely nothing. We had interrupted her texting and chatting with a colleague - not a great look to be greeted like this on arrival. The food we ordered room service was really poor, don’t recommend!

The Ibis Styles was a pleasant surprise following our long haul international flight. We had a late arrival (almost midnight) and early connecting flight (6.20am) & we’re looking for somewhere inexpensive to sleep a few hours. Although the motel offers a convenient shuttle we were able to walk from our terminal to the motel & back to the terminal the following morning. The staff were so friendly & welcoming & made the check in process seamless & stress free. The room was lovely, bed was extremely comfortable & amenities fantastic. Our only disappointment was that our time here was so short. We will certainly utilise the Ibis Styles for accommodation at Melbourne airport in future.
