It is a cosy and comfy place to stay for a night or two while visiting Killybegs. The room we stayed in was warm and clean. The owners were super friendly and accommodating and left us to our own devices, even though the accommodation is part of their home. It is an excellent value for money stay.

I think the only complaint would be that the place does not have proper soundproofing, so you can hear the door and other visitors, but it isn't the worst and expected for an affordable stay in somebody's house.

Our stay at Puffin Lodge was absolutely exceptional. The hosts were so kind, the rooms were very spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the location was outstanding. Puffin Lodge is situated steps from a private beach and around the corner from Fintra Beach and not too far from Donegal Town or attractions such as Slieve League. The optional continental-style breakfast was lovely as well! Highly reccomend Puffin Lodge, you will not regret it!

Puffin Lodge is exceptionally beautiful. Tina is an amazing soul and so very kind and helpful. Tina's husband David and Tina make their guests feel very welcome. They keep the Lodge in pristine condition and nurture the beautiful nature around them with love and care. I had the best two days in this peaceful and calm sanctuary. It gave me the peace, quiet, and relaxation that I needed. And it's definitely a writer's paradise. Highly recommend.

What a place! Absolutely stunning with a short walk through gardens, to a secluded little beach. Loved stopping with the resident goose one the way; she was very chatty! Accommodation was perfect, clean, spacious and comfortable with a roomy bathroom. We had breakfast on one of the days which was delicious and had a wide variety of goodies to choose from! Our hosts, Tina and David are the loveliest people and we will definitely book again next time we go that direction!

Tina was an incredibly welcoming host, she went above and beyond to help us make the most out of our stay there, even though it was only for one night! She really made our experience wholesome- the lodge is located in an idyllic spot with access to two separate beaches (you just need to bypass a temperamental goose to make it there). Honestly, our stay there was a core memory for both myself and my friend and one we are really gonna treasure 🙂 1000000000/10 -would recommend

Everything! Superb continetal breakfast, fresh berries/fruit etc.No skimping on anything . Clinically clean. Great bathroom & shower, simple to use, constant hot water, lots of space. Didn’t meet David but Tina was a brilliant host. Makes you feel at home but not in an overbearing (I’m always fussing about) manner. We will be back.

The weather! Don’t think David or Tina can help, haha. Realistically it was as close to perfect as possible.

We loved everything about Puffin Lodge! The location was private and quiet but still only 5 minutes from Killybegs. The hosts, Tina and David, were so engaging and friendly. The property was steps to the ocean. The room and bathroom were huge! The room had a kettle, tea and coffee, wine glasses, and the tastiest biscuits. There was a lovely sitting room with a beautiful view of the Atlantic. It was simply perfect.

Honestly, there was nothing about Puffin Lodge we didn't like.

Puffin Lodge is a beautiful new house with a distinctive Red door. We got a lovely welcome and our room was spacious with a comfortable bed & a beautiful view of the sea with its own private beach. There was a detailed list of the tides as when best to visit the beach. Our host provided all information on local places to enjoy food & entertainment. Tea making facilities in our room & the ensuite had a power shower and beautiful fluffy towels. We really enjoyed our short stay .

We couldn't stay longer!!

A wonderful warm welcome was only the start of a great stay. The room and bathroom were spacious, bright and clean. The bed was soooo comfortable. The warm heated common room provided a nice area to relax and the private beach was picturesque although tempting a little cold this time of year. Easy drive close to town. Wished I stayed longer. Thanyou Tina for making me feel so welcome.

There was a wide variety of breakfast choices from meat/cheese to yogurt to baked goods. The best part was the view out the large window, down through the extensive property to a cove and the Atlantic Ocean.

Internet access is a bit of a problem. Sometimes it works just fine, and other times there's no access at all. This is not the fault of the bed and breakfast but just the rural, coastal location and the County Donegal weather.
