Pleasant and tastefully renovated hotel in very central location. Staff was excellent, courteous, prompt and forthcoming. We were given and upgrade room which we appreciated for space, light and tasteful decor.

Difficult to understand the rationale behind a commercial policy that, having already positioned the structure at the top end of the market, charges 30 euro per person per breakfast, 30 euro a night per parking and more if you wish to access the spa area. This would add on over 100 euro per night just to use the services on site, despite being in low season with an empty hotel. Result is that breakfast buffet remains nearly unattended (food waste blight) and the services on site unused but still running fixed costs. Weird. Santa should also revise the "tassa di soggiorno". This just tax is going out of hand in too many destinations.

The staff were all extremely lovely and very helpful. We were given all the information we needed at check in any time we passed staff in the hallway or spa they were warm and friendly. Great location short walk from train station and to the beach front, spa facilities were nice.

The hotel was located a short walk from the train station and waterfront. There were lots of restaurants, shops and bars within walking distance. It was also close to the ferry stop. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to answer our questions and offer us support. The room was in a separate building behind the hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. The size was good. There was lots of storage space as well as a seating area. Breakfast is offered at the property and there is a nice outdoor lounge/restaurant which offers dinners. I would stay here again and recommend it further.

This review applies to the room in their separated building. It seems that all the rooms there are on the first floor, no view, and pretty small (basically "bed + 1m around it) Our shower was leaking quite badly, even when one was really careful with directing the stream of water A/C and heating is quite noisy, and the outlet is right next to the bed. Fortunately we didn't need it, but I can imagine that it may create some unwanted draft

Our room was comfortable and felt very new. The hotel was really well located close to the train station, which was a gentle downhill walk in (but a more challenging walk back), but no more than 10 minutes either way. Well located to explore Santa Margherita, with a short walk to the foreshore, and restaurants. The front of the hotel had a quiet beer garden, with reasonably priced drinks and good complimentary snacks. And whatever the complimentary lollies were at the reception counter, they were elite!

It appears that the hotel has been extended, and we were housed in the new section, which was up the side alley next to the hotel. We were a bit surprised, after checking in, to be led back outside and around the back. So the photos showing the front of a period hotel represents reception, and not where you may end up being lodged.

This was a high-quality property with a lovely spa! It is nearby all mass transportation, including ferries. This is the best place to stay if you are going to see Santa Margarita or Portifino. Portofino is a 15 minute ferry or bus away, you can also walk there if you want it was so nice to eat so close to the train station when we got there and so nice to be able to get on the train to leave also the bus and are both right out front!

It was a little weird that the building I actually stayed in was not part of the building where they take reservations and you have breakfast, etc. But it was a lovely lovely room and that’s where the spa is as well. Just be ready to walk outside to go to the front desk or to breakfast. I didn’t mind it, but it was a little weird at first.

Perfect quiet location only a five minute walk from both the train station and the sea. Lovely welcoming staff who are always happy to help and suggest good local restaurants. The day spa is such a bonus after long days exploring. We didn’t use the restaurant but it looked lovely. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Everything was perfect. Staff were always super responsive to any requests for extra towels or a clothes steamer etc. Best hotel so far on our five week trip through Europe 😀

When I booked the hotel room, I didn't pay attention to the fact that the hotel offered rooms both in the main building and in a dependency located on the ground floor of an adjacent residential building. Initially, it didn't seem appropriate for a 5-star hotel, which is not specified as an aparthotel, to have rooms in a dependency. When I contacted Booking, they only suggested that I resolve the issue with the hotel staff. After initially being offered an alternative room in the hotel, but in the attic without additional costs, I declined and considered leaving, preferring to lose the money on the accommodation. However, the manager made every effort to ensure I had a pleasant stay, worthy of 5 stars, and offered me a Junior Suite at no extra cost. Otherwise, everything was fine, and the location was very convenient if you need to get around

The difference between the rooms!

The room was very nice and well serviced. Lots of storage in the room. The location was good to everything...beach, train, shopping, restaurants. Mateo, at the front desk was espcecially helpful to us. He arranged so many nice things.

The breakfast was sub standard for a hotel with that rating...not enough fruit, not enough choices. The towels seemed old and needed to be refreshed. The bathroom sink vanity area was not enough for 2 people. The shower door leaked the water onto the bathroom floor, right where you stood in front of the sink.

I read a number of negative reviews online before staying here and had my concerns, thankfully the Hotel exceeded my expectations. The Hotel staff couldn’t have been nicer and all prices were communicated clearly to me. The room was lovely and cleaned thoroughly during my stay. Spa access was included in my stay. I stayed in the secondary building but it’s literally next door. Breakfast is €30 and spa access if not included in your stay is €50. The cost of those are consistent with the local area. As a side note a 3 mile taxi to Portofino will cost you €50 as a tourist. For the price I paid the Hotel was excellent, especially considering the cost of other 5* Hotels in the area.
