Staff- took a genuine interest, perhaps as I was a solo guest? Location exceptional, on the WHWay route, which is why I chose the hotel.

Bathroom hot water Too hot, despite the warning logo.i found it difficult to turn on the shower. No milk left by the kettle on my 2nd day; the receptionist gave me 6 more cartons when I went downstairs. I was disappointed with the meals, buffet items not identified if suitable for vegetarians (which I am). The chocolate cake for dessert needs cream as was quite dry. I wouldn’t want to eat the buffet dinner 2 nights running, so I chose off the menu.

The hotel is classy, the room was quiet, the location is excellent, the views breathtaking, the staff friendly and always there to help (we arrived at 11pm and the reception was manned), the breakfast (overall) was great.

The only tiny bit that could have been better is that I am very much a tea lover, and in a hotel of that class I would expect freshly made tea, or at the very least tea bags and hot water. Instead, we were offered rather stewed dark liquid in a huge tank - the manner of making and serving tea one expects in cheap greasy spoon eateries, not in posh hotels. What a waste of lovely, soft Scottish water which makes the best tea when it's done properly! Perhaps more importantly, my wife has a mild caffeine intolerance, and of course the way the tea was served there was no caffeine free alternative, she had to make do with fruit juice.

Overall, my stay at this hotel was very pleasant. The room was quite small, which made it a bit less comfortable, but the bed was excellent and I slept very well. The shower was a real delight — powerful and relaxing — although it, too, was quite compact. The real highlight was dinner. I chose the lamb shank, and it was absolutely delicious — highly recommended for any food lover. The service was outstanding, especially thanks to Rose Ann. She was exceptionally polite, friendly, and attentive. As a lovely extra touch, I even received a small gift with a thoughtful note — a personal gesture I truly appreciated. I would definitely return to this hotel, though next time I’ll opt for a larger room. All in all, a warm and welcoming experience with excellent food and top-notch service!

After a hot and dusty day walking the WHW I was so pleased to see that this hotel was a short distance off the WHW path. When I saw the room the bedroom was lovely but WHITE. Thankfully had a black throw over the bed which I laid out and was able to sit on and stretch, and then a bath! Also a big shout out to Nina in the restaurant, she was so smiley, and professional. I stayed there 2 nights, and she remembered my name, table I liked and what drink I would like. Brilliant

The curtains in my room didn't fit, particularly at the edge nearest the bed. The curtain rings weren't fitted properly therefore leaving a great gap nearest the bed side. I was getting up early anyway, but if not the gap would have been really annoying

Breakfast was good replenished with hot food often. Evening meal was a long wait but tasty. Grassed area outside is in need of attention due to dips in the area where seats are could be dangerous if wet. We received a n upgrade on room very surprised. Bathroom was clean but lacked space for toiletries near sink. No plug in sink. Shower gel and hand cream to high up for use in bath. Toilet roll holder to low. Paintwork needs tidying up. Just a few items that need attention to detail. Staff could not be more helpful always smiling especially in the restaurant. Area around Tyndrum is a good central area to reach lots of Munros and West Highland Way. Two train stations taking you Oban and Fort William very close by. Little local shops for basic needs and trinkets.

As mentioned toilet issues could be addressed to better standards. Outside area needs attention.

Near Loch Lomond and national park. Lovely buffet breakfast each morning. Nice bar area and games room. Lovely surrounding gardens. You can eat either restaurant in evening or couple of Eataries just down the road. Free carpark. Recommend Tyndrum Inn. Lovely place to eat and café just down the road outside hotel. Beautiful places to visit, Scenery and lochs to see.

Bedroom door on entry was wedged open so wasn't sure why. Hand Soap in batheroom had broken pump but nothing major as we could have asked for another.

Great location and comfortable room. My friend and I were walking the West Highland Way and we arrived late in the evening and had lots of laundry. Amir on reception was charming and fantastically helpful - arranging for our laundry to be washed and dried by 7am the following morning. We had dinner and breakfast in the dining room, where Sri Lanka and George were charming and helpful to us in dealing with requests for drinks and various amendments to the food on the menu. We both agreed that we would stay there next time we’re in the area.

The property was being refurbished but that didn’t impinge on our enjoyment in any way.

This is a brilliant hotel for a base for travelling around. I have stayed at this hotel a few times now with my partner on our motorbikes as the parking is brilliant. Didn't have breakfast on this occasion but have in the past and it was lovely. Also a great big bar upstairs to unwind in with friends at the end of a day. However, my most favourite thing about this hotel is the showers. They are so powerful.... best shower I have ever had...Ever!

Nothing to complain about.

The property itself was in a very nice location next to the national park and is easy to reach most notable locations in the Highlands. The hotel itself was massive with a very nice area on the 3rd floor which included the dining area but most importantly the lounge area that exceeded expectations due to the size and comfortability. The food was also exceptional.

Smaller room than expected and the dinner prices were a bit much for what you got.

Third time I’ve stayed at this hotel and always found the staff incredibly helpful and welcoming. Its location is ideal to head into Glencoe for a day hike. The third floor bar, whilst dated, is a good space to relax in the evening. Beds were comfortable and bathroom good.

As said in other reviews, the hotel has a charm but it is somewhat dated. Having dined here previously but not on this occasion, it can get a bit busy with tour groups so we ate elsewhere. The quoted breakfast price is a touch high, making it uncompetitive with other nearby places, so we also passed on that. Overall though, I’ll visit again due to its location, hospitality and comfort. In the whole, good value too.
