Great location and value

Excellent location - 4 minute walking distance down the hill to a bunch of restaurants. A few minutes driving distance to many of Cappadocia's attractions, including Uchisar Castle, Love Valley, Rose Valley, Goreme Open Air Museum. Though it was too cold for us to use it, swimming pool was beautiful and heated. Evening lights made hotel look beautiful with rock formation/cave background. Great spot to watch hot air balloons in the mornings. Breakfasts were the same each day, but each day's breakfast had a lot of variety. Friendly staff at the hotel made us feel very welcome, except for one person who tried to push a particular "Turkish Nights" show on us, even though we asked information about another show...but was pleasant about it.

Our room had a slight musty/sulfur-like smell...nothing too bad.

We had the most incredible stay at The Local Cave Hotel in Cappadocia! ✨ From the moment we booked, communication with the team was effortless – they were so responsive and helpful in answering our questions before arrival. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautiful facilities and the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in while travelling. We woke up each morning to a delicious, fresh breakfast that was truly a highlight of our trip. Every single staff member went above and beyond to make our stay special – their hospitality made us feel so welcome and at home. This was honestly one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had, and I couldn’t recommend The Local Cave Hotel enough to anyone visiting Cappadocia. We can’t wait to come back! ❤️

Absolutely nothing we didn’t like!! Except for having to leave 🥲

Absolutely stunning. We had the most incredible time and it is by far one of the best places I have ever stayed. The rooms were comfortable. They organised everything for us - airport transfers, laundry, activities. It was peaceful and absolutely stunning. The location is perfect. You can walk to restaurants and ATMs. The breakfast was incredible. And of course the balloons! You can see them right from your rooms window. It was an absolute dream!

The pool playlist was a bit repetitive. Some peaceful Turkish music would have been lovely. We would have loved an ironing board in the room, however they can do ironing for you for a charge.

- Outstanding breakfast, nothing was missing, exceptionally delicious and wide variety of classic Turkish breakfast. - Super central location walkable to main downtown area and bunch of restaurants. - The pool is amazing, well kept and clean and nice temperature. Pool beds also comfortable. - Staff was very helpful at all times and helping with all inquiries and requests with a smile. - The room had everything we needed and bunch of toiletries too with even hard to find items in other hotels (like towel slippers, makeup remover, sewing kits, toothbrush and toothpaste etc.) not just the basic shampoo so we appreciated that.

- Minos issues with the AC in the room with water leak. They can use an upgrade.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Local Cave House Hotel. The property itself is so beautiful, peaceful and quiet, set into the rock face and centred around the pool with many different terraces and places you can relax. The location of the property is very convenient, just a couple of minutes walk into the main town centre but also very close to the balloon viewpoint up on the hill (but you can also watch the balloons from the hotel) and access to other hikes and activities. Ahmed and the staff are very kind and helpful, going out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and having a great stay. Would highly recommend staying here for your stay in Cappadocia!

Nothing, it was perfect

The hotel is so very charming and cozy. The location is superior. Restaurants, souvenir shops and tour agencies are a 3 minute walk down the street, 4 minute walk to the post office if you need the currency exchange, 7-10 min walk up the path to the city's observation deck. The observation deck is great for watching the sunrise, but the hotel's many terraces were better for the balloon watching, video and pictures. The sunset view from this hotel is also great. The breakfast is absolutely amazing. You will get a full spread of a traditional Turkish breakfast and more. I would highly recommend this place. It exceeded all my expectations.

My stay at this cave hotel was nothing short of perfect! The room was absolutely stunning—clean, spacious, and beautifully designed to give you that authentic cave experience while still feeling luxurious. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring I had a restful night’s sleep after exploring the beautiful landscapes of Cappadocia. A special mention goes to Güney at the reception—he was so helpful and welcoming, making sure everything was just right for my stay. His friendly demeanor and local tips really added to the overall experience. The breakfast was also very good, with plenty of delicious options to start the day. And let’s talk about the hotel’s view—absolutely breathtaking! Whether it was enjoying the peaceful surroundings by the pool or sitting by the fire in the outdoor area, everything was magical. The combination of the cave atmosphere with the stunning outdoor areas really made this a stay to remember. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to have a perfect Cappadocia experience!

Really cool place. The staff were some of the best and nicest hospitality staff I have ever met in my life. Both Ahmed and the owner/ manager (I think that's what he was) were both incredibly kind. They will offer you Turkish tea and will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and happy when using the common areas. The breakfast was huge and very tasty. They even allowed us to stay poolside after we checked out as we waited for our evening bus. Ahmed and the owner/ manager kept offering us tea and were more than happy for us to use the pool, even giving us towels and cushions for the lounges despite the fact we were technically no longer staying there. They had great local recommendations for food and hikes too. The room was very clean with a good shower and comfy bed. Despite the fact it was a bit on the pricier side (but all of Cappadocia is like this) I would stay again for sure.

Local cave is in a great location from different rooftop bars, restaurants, shopping and even the bus station. The hotel itself is incredible. So many places to lounge around and swim by the pool. They even bring you a late afternoon snack of juice and watermelon if you are chilling out by the pool. The people that work there are so friendly and kind, always willing to help. The breakfast is outstanding with all the options and very delicious. Another perk is that it has a great view of the balloons rising on the roof of the hotel! We had planned to go to sunrise point, but there was no need! Could not recommend this place enough! Thanks for a wonderful stay.
