Very polite staff (all without exceptions), great location, nice breakfast (try their pastry), romantic and vintage interior, comfortable bathroom.

Window view, unfortunately our room look at the other building, but I guess that’s a common problem in Venice unless you pay more for premium.

Hotel al Ponte Mocenigo felt like an authentic and traditional Venetian hotel, which was well-priced and perfect for a little honeymoon after our wedding last week. We had always wanted to visit Venice together and staying here made for the perfect experience. The location is so charming with our rooms located on the other side of the canal to the main hotel. We were right on the canal and had a view of the canal from our room, even though we hadn’t specifically asked for this when booking! The hotel is well-situated for visiting the different parts of Venice, we were able to see most of the island on foot and you are only ten minutes or so from main sites such as the Rialto bridge. There are plenty of nice places to eat and drink in the nearby vicinity. However, the hotel is not in an overly touristy or busy location and is therefore lovely and quiet. You feel really tucked away from the business of areas like St Mark’s square. The staff were friendly and helpful; cold drinking water is provided in the lobby and the minibar was also very reasonably priced if we needed a drink. The breakfast was lovely with coffees made to order and a range of tasty options for food. The room was cleaned every day and we had incredibly peaceful sleep in the cool, dark and quiet room. Would really recommend this hotel if you are visiting Venice and want an authentic and charming experience.

The shower was quite small.

Very nice hosts, they speak good English, our room was even better than shown in pictures (beside the room itself, we were surprised by the bathroom and a wardrobe closet size and look). It's labeled as 14 square meters, but it's definitely only room without wardrobe and bathroom. Also, a very elegant, rustic design, a hotel is very beautiful, very nice breakfast, a lot of options, you cannot stay hungry, it based on self service. Wi-Fi is very fast and stable, a TV contains a ton of channels. A bed is very comfortable.

Thin pillows and you have to announce on what time you want to have a breakfast (there are a lot of rooms and space for eating is limited, so it's understandable).

We were accomodated in a secondary building, in a room without any view. In fact, the windows of the room were opening to a very small space, between other buildings on every side, very close (a few square meters). We asked to change our room, but they showed us the only available room, that was located at the ground floor of the main building and very noisy. So, we preferred to stay in the room without any view.

The hotel is conveniently located near the San Stae water bus station, making arrival and departure effortless. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, assisting with our luggage and providing helpful insights about the city and transportation. Our room was spacious and situated in an external section just outside the main building, offering extra privacy while still enjoying a beautiful canal view. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, yet just a short walk from excellent restaurants and the city center. Breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of options, including a full English breakfast, fresh fruits, pancakes, and more. Overall, a wonderful stay—I highly recommend this hotel!

The staff, both male and female, were excellent. The women were quick, efficient, and had lovely smiles, while the male staff were also very kind and helpful. The room was beautifully decorated, clean, and very quiet. Since the room was a bit dry due to the season, opening the window for ventilation made it feel much more comfortable. The location was perfect, just a pleasant walk to the town center, and there was a supermarket and a wonderful bakery about five minutes away, which was very convenient. I also tried a nearby restaurant recommended by the staff, and it was delicious.

The rooms and the buildings themselves are historic and lovely. Staffs are friendly and helpful. We love the location with many charming corners around and beautiful small canals. At the same time, it is close to a quarter with a small supermarket (Coop) and restaurants. Peaceful and not far from the hot spot (which is too crowded).

The breakfast room is way too small and feel squashed during winter as they don’t use the outdoor courtyard (which I think it’s a shame, a couple of portable fireplaces to the courtyard and use it for breakfast would make the space nicer and enhance the ambience).

Breakfast was -- by Italian standards -- very good and had a wide variety of breakfast foods. Coffee was excellent (better than in many cafés in Venice). The room was well appointed and pleasant. It was very quiet. The bed was good, even for my wife, who is usually not happy with hotel beds. The bedspread was too heavy, but there were two wool blankets and four sheets, so we could improvise. Many pillows were provided. Staff were very friendly and genuinely seemed to be good-natured. They all spoke English, some of them better than Italian.

A dim night light in the bathroom would have been useful; but they are hard to find and rare in hotels. It would have been nice to have two room keys, but given that the room was in a separate building from the main hotel, and we required two different key cards and a metal key, I understand why they don't give out multiple copies.

We visit Venice once a year, before our ski trip. We had waited a few years before being able to book this hotel, it was always fully booked. It was worth the wait. At least as good as the 4 and 5 hotels we have stayed in previously. Huge room and bathroom. The staff are exceptional. Breakfast wonderful. It is the little things. really which are unusual There are no 'niggles' to irritate. Quiet, great lighting, comfortable bedding, lovely toiletries, individual hospitality. An example, we wanted to book a restaurant which is famously difficult to book, ahead of our visit. We are veggie and have little choice in Venice. They don't answer their phone. I contacted the hotel and Sandro went to the restaurant and made the booking face to face.

Unless I get my act together, they will be fully booked when we try for next year.

Our room review applies to the annex, which was fully renovated less than a year ago. The room was very spacious (it had an entrance foyer, a large bathroom, and a walk-in closet (in Venice!!). The bedroom was large by any standard, had a king-size bed, and was impeccably clean. The breakfast was very good, nice variety of food, very attentive staff. We would gladly give this hotel 6 points out of 5 if the review system allowed it. Would love to come back and stay there again..
