The Inn is in such a good location, just steps from the beach and central to the Cannery Row attractions and old town attractions. Very walkable. The staff was helpful, courteous, and pleasant. The room was a bit older, but very clean and well kept. It was helpful to have both a microwave and refrigerator. I really enjoyed having the gas fireplace as evenings were a bit humid and chilly. The bed was very comfortable. And it was nice having a small balcony with seating. The on site parking (at a reasonable daily fee) was so useful rather than trying to find parking at the various attractions (expensive). it was a most enjoyable stay and I will be back.

It was genuinely very clean! From the carpet to the bedding to the bathroom, I never felt unsure or hesitant (and I am a self-admitted clean freak). The shampoo was the best hotel shampoo I’ve ever used, even compared to very fancy hotels. The fireplace was amazing and actually heated the room efficiently. The location is excellent and central if you want to walk to the aquarium or to the pier for a whale watching tour. The space was larger than the average hotel room, the balcony was nice, and the fridge was huge. The employee who checked up in was pleasant and friendly.

It’s definitely older, and there were a few odd choices (like the bathroom mirror was very low and I had to do a semi-squat to do my hair and makeup) and it would have been nice to have a small table in the room with another mirror. The parking lot and outside area are more run down but the important part is the room which was clean and cozy.

The location between Cannery Row and San Carlos Park/beach was amazing for kids! We could catch the trolley to get around Cannery Row, and the young kids loved the beach and grass at the park. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the refrigerator was much better than typical hotel models. I was afraid it might be noisy or cold because of the design, but there were no problems (we were on the second floor-I don't know about the first floor).

A little updating might be nice in the bathrooms, but overall, it was a good experience.

The location was great walking distance to beach, we even took a longer walk down to Bubba gumps:) room was great size and clean:)

One staff member at front desk was a little rude because I asked if I could check to see if my room was ready for early check in. She told me it would be an extra fee to check in early I agreed then she said gave attitude and told me to come back at check in time at 3:00 🤷‍♀️ we paid pretty much $800 for 2 nights and then when checking in it was additional fee to park on property.

Cannery Row Inn was advertised as only being a 2-star hotel, so my expectations were low - I chose it for its location (near my friend's home). While the property is not posh, the room was large, very clean, and well appointed. The room had a partial ocean view, which was very visible when sitting on the balcony. The location was great - 20 minute walk to Cannery Row, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming.

The fireplace that "lights up" is laughable. The vending machines were out of order, so there truly were no amenities.

Location is excellent, close to the beach and Fisherman's Wharf. The hotel has clearly made an effort to update and new paint, carpets etc have clearly improved the experience. Lovely little balcony and some nice open seated common areas. Didn't need to use the air conditioning as the supplementary fireplace was exceptional in maintaining a perfect temperature. Check in and out were very quick with online options available.

Coffee machine only worked intermittently despite looking pretty new.

Amazing location able to walk everywhere close to Cannery Row. This is not our first stay at Cannery Row Inn but it is our first stay in a Partial Ocean View room (room 215) and the view from our little balcony was AMAZING! The staff at the hotel could not have been more friendly, helpful and obliging in every way whenever we asked them something - they were especially super helpful in securing us the particular room we requested for our second stay (room 216) there during our trip for which for which we were so grateful! This hotel is not new and so there are some parts like the balcony that could use some TLC but we stayed there for the location and honestly it was perfect for us! I highly recommend room 215 if you are new to this hotel, the view is soo nicel Thanks to all the lovely staff at the hotel for making our stay so amazing!

Sometimes the toilet did not flush properly and the shower pressure changed and was very weak. The balcony was a little old looking and the fireplace made a lot of noise when we used it in the evening and the air conditioning was really loud when we used that in the day (it was very mixed temperatures when we stayed!) there was a large armchair in one room we had that was very frayed on the arms - so just a little bit of TLC in the rooms and a refresh on the balconies would go a long way - but these are only MINOR details!! The bed was soo comfortable and the hotel overall was very peaceful and we slept well. We would definitely stay there again.

Convenient to all Monterey attractions. Nice area, staff was nice, coffee was good. Little view to ocean. Next to the walking trail.

The elevator was loud, sounding like it was going fall, and the room was next to the elevator shook room when it was in use. Room temp was hard to keep comfortable. Bed was lumpy, and sheets felt awful strange linins for a hotel. Front of toilet was dirty took my own Lysol wipes good thing. Traffic loud all night, felt like we were on the street.

What a lovely spot. The location is top notch, within walking distance to the Wharf and Cannery Row. The staff was super nice and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean. We found the bed to be just fine (some reviews mentioned how uncomfortable they and the pillows were, not our experience) and the towels, sheets, and overall space was very tidy. The partial ocean view from the patio was awesome! We could hear the sea lions barking at night and in the morning, what a treat to enjoy a cup of coffee in the chilly morning and be able to listen to them AND watch them frolick in the water! The room got pretty chilly in the evening and early morning, BUT the fireplace (electric) really warmed up the room nicely. All in all, would absolutely stay here again. Very reasonable price for a well situated room with an ocean view. (The pic is from the patio! A very nice partial view!)

Nitpicky things, by no means bad or deal breakers for staying here again! The channel line up on the TV is pretty small. Not that we spent a lot of time in the room watching TV, but at night, the selections were pretty thin. They do provide coffee beginning at 8am, which is super nice, but it would be spectacular if they did a breakfast option. Having a bagel and some fruit on the patio would be a wonderful way to start your day in Monterey! Some of the furniture was a bit worn, and the desk chair had some odd stains on it, but again, nothing major at all.

The room was AMAZING. The view from the balcony was more than I expected, and I have stayed here before! The bed, sheets, and bathroom are super clean. (The fridge, too!) The staff is so friendly, housekeeping was particularly awesome, and our room was spotless. This is the perfect spot for a romantic weekend getaway. You can hear the ocean, sea lions, and seagulls as you watch the sun set and the moon rise. Just a lovely, lovely spot.
