Our Lockwood Cabin, consisted of an 'L' shaped living area with a kitchenet included, plus a bathroom/toilet, one sleeping room for 2 kids and a main bedroom. Located in a secluded park-like area, overlooked from our veranda. Our unit had no air conditioning, but instead had a heat-pump which could be set to 16C It was a quiet location, almost no traffic noise and very close to Napier or Hastings. the site is adjacent to a Caravan Camp, but there was no noise, and the camp was basically out of sight. The equipment to cook your own meals is available.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was a different experience. If you prefer to stay in 3- or 5-star hotels then this is not the place for you, but if you have been camping or caravaning, then this is definitely more up-market. The Cabin is set in a semi-rural location and occasionally requires the use of fly spray, provided.

we really loved The Clive Hideaway, its very peaceful and the staff were great, thankyou so much for allowing our 4 year old Rottweiler, Bella, to come and stay, she absolutely loved all the open space to run around and explore, the cabin we stayed in had all the necessities we needed for our 2 night stay, thank you so much for having us, we will definitely come back next year.

This was our first visit and we are already planning a return visit. Having our Golden Retriever with us was great and the location, grounds and staff made him a dream to have on holiday. Very welcoming

Although not essential, it would have been nice to have a hairdryer available to use. But this would not stop us returning at all.😀

Beautiful little cottage. Beds were comfortable and the room was very clean!

Cant rate the staff because we didn’t have contact with anyone. (Maybe due to privacy being a hideaway) Even thought the rooms get serviced every second day it would have been nice to have fresh towels daily

The rooms were clean. You had everything you needed. The surroundings were beautiful. Very peaceful. The whole cabin was presented well.

We liked everything. They could invest in a more updated TV with Netflix etc. We were stuck in the rain, nothing for the kids to do.

I really liked the setup; you had what you needed. It's a really peaceful location and I thank them for having me.

The communication from the host could have been better prior to check in, however all was sorted swiftly.

Signs maintenance maybe hasn’t been keeper up like main entrance sliding door rollers need attention (they’re bugged)

Location was very easy to find, check in was super quick, parking of the car was right beside the unit. Plentt of powerpoints to use, sher was good, the odd time it went a bit cold but quicjly come back.

Was not much to dislike.

It was central to all the city activities we took part in. Nice and quiet area and tucked away very nicely for our family. Loved everything about our stay. If we are to stay in the area, this will be where we stay everytime.

Great accommodation with the dog in tow. Good field space out the back where he could have a run. Had everything you need in the kitchenette.

We arrived in the dark and found it difficult to locate.
