The motel is situated near the marina, which is a beautiful location, with lots of eating places within a short walking distance. Bedroom and bathroom, were a decent size, with a small kitchen, which was fine for us, as we ate out. We made us of the free laundrette and it was a bonus to hang out washing on the line (pegs provided!). Although it is a bit of a track, we walked into Napier - which is stunning. It was the first day of the Art Deco Festival, and the city was buzzing - lots of people in dressed in period costume, complete with classic cars of the era. Unfortunately, we had only booked in for one night, wish we could have stayed longer!.

Saturday and Sunday night had people partying noisily until 3 in the morning on Sunday night , and well after midnight on Saturday night . I think they were in unit 30 but can’t say for sure . A very angry argument and swearing went on for a long time late on Sunday afternoon ,on the balcony .Not sure what unit , but on the top floor . Was too concerned for my own safety to actually look out the door to see who was arguing , or go downstairs to collect my washing .

A clean and spacious room, beautiful bathroom, kitchenette was well stocked and equipped. The bed and linen were excellent quality. Nice view to the marina.

The owners/managers dog barking and even being on the property was very disappointing. After a long drive relaxing was impossible. They did not reply to my call complaining and when I spoke to the receptionist asking when it would be going home was told later that evening and it was back again barking just after 8 am the next morning. There is a "no noise policy" in their terms and conditions. Also other "guests" came home late and talking loudly and drinking on the deck well after 11 pm. Would not return to this accomodation as it seems there are no "live on site" staff to speak with fellow travellers that have no consideration for other people. So glad we were only there for one night.

The location was close to restaurants and had a pleasant outlook over a marina. It was easy to access from the main road north. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was firm but comfortable with good pillows and an extra blanket. We enjoyed the spa bath. It was good to have the option of a lift to access the rooms upstairs. Staff responded quickly to any requests.

There were warnings about fines of $500 for setting off the smoke alarms by burning toast or using the microwave. There were also fines for noise after 7pm. I suppose this is reasonable, but it wasn't very welcoming! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would book here again.

Room was spacious, very clean. Great aircon in the room, love how you can open the windows aswell to let some fresh air in. Nice view. Kitchenette was good, again very clean and tidy. Bathroom was a good size, great how they have a cabinet with drawers in the bathroom so you can store your things without taking up space on the vanity. Would absolutely stay here again

Only complaint is that there was only one toilet roll, not even a spare. But staff happily gave us 2 extra rolls when we asked, so not a major :)

Approachable, lovely staff, extremely respectful and helpful at times, especially when I needed an extra bed put into our room. It made our trip enjoyable knowing that we could rely and trust your Staff. A beautiful clean room and a bed you could buy for yourself, it was nothing but bliss staying with you - we are coming back but not sure when!! Thank you

Very clean and comfortable and handy to all the restaurants and bars at ahiriri. The staff were very obliging.

The only downside was the shower over the spa bath. I thought I had booked a unit with a walk in shower as my husband had a hip transplant not so long ago and found it difficult to get in and out of the shower. It would be helpful to know which units would provide a walk in shower.

I had a great stay. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. The room was well equipped and I was very happy with the small details, like coffee and biscuits in the room and milk in the fridge. The view was lovely and the location is close to restaurants, bars and the beach. I would recommend staying here and I’ll definitely be back! Thanks for a great stay! :)

The room was beautiful. It was comfortable, clean & the location & view were top notch. We arrived after 8:30pm (check in times from 2pm-8pm), so requested a late check in & the staff were amazing & accomodating, considering I only rang them an hour beforehand. Restaurants and bars are walking distance, which also makes for a nice stroll. Would definitely recommend Anchorage to others.
