We stayed in an upstairs 1 bed apartment with a balcony with a sea view. We stayed for one night but there appeared to be plenty of equipment and crockery to self cater for longer stays. The double bed in the main living area was comfortable and the separate room had 2 twin beds. The room and bedding was clean. we couldn't find any faults as this place was exactly what was advertised. There are enough bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

Nothing to dislike unless you want to be in the center of town. It was about a 25 minute walk uphill them down hill again or about 40 minutes walk around the Port area. It was less than 10 minutes if you drive.

We were there to catch up with our cruise in order to board the ship. Stephanie (hotel manager) went above and beyond to get us information to help us get to the port. We thought we could walk to the dock and of course that is not allowed, you have to take a special shuttle. We missed our cruise in Auckland because we had an unexpected flight delay in Honolulu. By the time we arrived in Auckland it was too late to get a hotel so we spent a short uncomfortable night at the airport in order to catch an early flight to Napier. Stephanie allowed us to check in early because we were sleep deprived. We were able to sleep (like the dead) and were well rested for our first day of the cruise. The sound of the ocean waves were soothing to the soul. We actually saw our ship come in the next morning! Stephanie is personable and amazing!

The beautiful view of the sea was mesmerising. Sitting on the balcony was great. Kitchette was adequate for breakfast and light lunches and there were dinner options within walking distance. Beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. Shower was a bit short but great flow. Had lots of little touches, like cushions, tissues, plenty of chairs, which made it very comfy. We have been twice now and will be back again.

Cleaning staff were a bit overzealous to get into our room but that's better than no service! An extra towel for hair drying would be appreciated.

For us it was just perfect , great location, amazing views , to get to the beach you don’t have to cross a road , my little one loved the beach , the playground and walking around , Boardwalk cafe is just next to the playground and offers kids menu and best view, great restaurants and cafes are also all around , just a short drive from the centre or a nice long walk . One would say it’s bit dated and our room furniture had some worn outs but as the room was perfectly clean and comfortable that didn’t bother us at all (oh, spa bath was great too :)) We will be coming to lovely Napier again and I can say we will not even look at other places to stay , definitely stay again , thank you so much !

Nothing really

It was a lovely location with great views and you can just walk out the frontband down to the boardwalk. Great location for peacefulness and near lots of restaurants and cafes. Nice watching the boats comes and go. The beds were super comfy and the rooms were spacious and great facilities. The staff were awesome and helped us when we needed it. Great to park straight outside our room and take our bags straight in. They also had guest laundry but we didn't use it but it looked good.

We left some feedback about the brightness of the lights and a peeler being blunt but those were all minimal things.

It is a great motel right on the waterfront with direct access to the beach. The room has a kitchenette with a toaster, kettle and dishes provided. The room was large and roomy. There is an outdoor table and 2 chairs that can be taken out onto the balcony to enjoy the view. It is easily within walking distance of a small shopping area with cafes, restaurants, and interesting shops.

The balconies are not private you will be seen sitting on your balcony just as you'll see everyone else sitting on theirs! It is not close walking distance to Napier city centre.

I have stayed in Napier before. But this place is perfect. My husband and I found it a very pretty setting. Loved hearing the waves crashing. We will be back here 100%. The spa bath was awesome, too. There are so many things within walking distance. Even spotted a cruise ship in Port.

Hard pressed to find much to pick holes at. The walls are not soundproof. First night, there was a very rowdy bunch of males, laughing, talking, and drinking until very late. It's not a new facility but very clean and not outdated. Would have been nice to have allocated parks for each unit.

The light coming through the front door both from the top & the bottom was quite bad. They have wonderful block out curtains but nothing to stop the light from the door , which interrupted sleep. The bed is on 4 wheels. It's quite dangerous when you simply go to put a bag on it , it moves. Sitting on it becomes dangerous, especially when you try to get into it at night & it actually rolls, moves. I moved the roller feet to different angles & put bags, clothes to stop it moving but it didn't work very well

Staff great. Units were clean and tidy. Good area to stay

Units need a bit of love and care. Hardware stays and sash handles are either broken or need replaced as stays no longer work to hold the sash from swinging straight out, which is dangerous as any person walking past will hit there head on the bathroom sash's. Noticed handle striker missing the cover. No ventilation - extractor fan for the shower would have been great as small window didn;t cope with the steam.

Our ground floor studio unit was all we could have wished for and more! Extremely well equipped mini kitchen, super comfy bed and pillows, extras in the cupboard if we wanted. Sofa and side table plus dining table and two chairs and cushions. Outdoors on the almost private patio was a sun lounger on the paved patio, mown grass, then a reserve and then the beach - could not have been better for a quiet, relaxing all-too-short break for my partner and I; a great escape from our business lives and lifestyle block. Late check-out arranged and confirmed without prompting on check-in. Excellent facility we'd return to anytime.

No biggie, but we're both keen on a bath and this unit did not have one ... I knew that when booking though and chose this one for ground-floor and price options as well as availability. If outdoors neighbouring units conversations were audible, but not inside which is to be commended!
