It was my first time visiting Sofia, so I just booked the first hotel I found on booking that was close to the centre. But when I got there, I was really surprised. The hotel exceeded all of my expectations. The hotel staff is very kind and was helpful with everything I needed, even with an early morning wake-up call to not miss my flight home. Whatever the wishes were, they fulfilled them all. My room was in a perfect condition and very clean. It had a mini fridge, kettle for water, a complimentary bottle of water and mix of different teas. It also had a balcony and a mini safe for all my valuables. The hotel is located in a quiet area away from heavy traffic of the centre of the city. So you can be assured that no one will disturb your good night of sleep:) Despite that, the walk to the main centre of the city takes only about 10 min, but if you don't wish to stroll around Sofia, there is a metro station really close by, or you can use the Tram, bus or taxi. The breakfast is self-served and has plenty of choices for everyone. The reception at the hotel is also open 24/7 so you can always get help. And not to mention, the hotel bar is also always open for those wishing a late night drink :) All in all, it was a perfect experience and I can only highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Sofia.

There is honestly nothing I didn't like. The hotel is brand new, in perfect condition. There is a shopping mall really close (app 300m), and the metro station is also only a couple of minutes by foot away. It was very easy to find.

Personel at the hotel is absolutely lovely. Our every need was met with immediate attention. I asked for a small gift for my mom as it was a trip for her birthday and hotel absolutely delivered! Breakfast is very tasty, you have a lot of options and you can eat at the patio outside. Room is very clean, you get free cosmetics that are great quality. Great localization! You can get to metro station in about 4 minutes and to tram station in about 3 minutes. Everything was great and we will definitely come back! Highly recommend!

Everything was great, can't say anything bad about this hotel

Spent here 3 nights with my son. The hotel was very new and modern, with all the necessary equipment. There is a metro station in a close vicinity, which makes moving around the city very comfortable. Numerous tourism attractions are just one stop away. Breakfast was tasty (but same items every day), the coffee simply wonderful. The neighborhood is not as modern nor nice, but it was surprisingly quiet -- we could leave the window open for the night. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

It’s a new hotel so it’s very clean and all the amenities are new. I like the toiletries they provide, very nice quality. It’s tucked away from main attractions so it’s quite at night but close enough to get to, just take metro or tram for 2-3 stops, and there is a metro 4 nearby that takes you directly from Terminal 2. There is a shopping mall nearby which is very convenient. Staff are friendly.

The hotel is located at a dingy alley. As a solo female traveler, I didn’t feel unsafe but I get it might be a concern for some females travelers. I think there are still some rooms for improvement but since it’s new, I think they will do better later.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful hotel. It is spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely and friendly, with a genuine welcome on arrival and were happy to store our luggage securely, on the day of departure. Our room was lovely and spacious with a huge balcony and there was a plentiful supply of complimentary toiletries in the lovely bathroom. The shower was excellent and the bed and bedding were probably the most comfortable and luxurious that we have experienced in a hotel for as long as we can remember! The breakfast was also very tasty and plentiful. Overall, we could not fault this wonderful hotel and would highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Nothing at all!

We stay at Hotel Aurora every time we visit Sofia, and it never disappoints! This is a new, modern hotel with incredibly clean and cozy rooms. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail: comfortable beds, fresh towels, free Wi-Fi, and even a coffee set in the room. Some rooms come with balconies — a nice bonus. The staff are amazing — always friendly and ready to help at any time of day. The breakfast is varied and delicious, offering both fruits and hot dishes — perfect to start the day with energy. The location is great too: right in the center, close to the metro and a shopping mall, yet quiet and peaceful. For us, Aurora feels like a second home in Sofia. The quality of service and comfort is at a level that’s hard to find even in more expensive hotels. We’re already looking forward to our next trip and will definitely choose this hotel again. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay in the city!

Perfect place to stay in the center of Sofia. East to get to from the airport, straight on the underground without changing. No need to get a taxi. Go to Opalchenska station (yellow line - 4), exit no. 2. Walk straight ahead and the hotel is down a side road to the left (3rd or 4th exit?). Very welcoming staff at reception, easy check-in, and the room was super clean. I think the cleaning staff take pride in their work and it shows ; very well done to them and thanks 👍. I stayed in a single room that although not huge was adequate for me. Shower was great, bed was comfortable , fridge and kettle in room, and Wi-Fi was good. The breakfast was really nice, very fresh and neatly laid out. The staff there were very nice too. The location is ideal, being tucked away in a quiet side street but in a good part of the city, not a rough part. Access to the Central train/bus station is easy (3stops) from Opalchenska, but with one change. Just around the corner is Sofia Mall where you can change your money and shop. Aurora Sofia was a nice surprise. It's a newly renovated building that looks cool outside and inside. Everything is carefully designed and maintained. The personnel is nice, the rooms and facilities in general are stylish and comfortable (although our standard room was actually rather small, to be honest), and the location is good, near to public transportation and a mall, in a central neighborhood that looks like it is going to boom soon. Breakfast, too, was above expectations. If I happen to be in Sofia again, I will come back..

Room was a little small, but it was nice, well designed and well furnished, and the bathroom was pretty spacious, so that wasn't really an issue.

The botel is recently built and put into operation, and everything looks fresh and new. Conversations and other noises could be heard distinctively from other rooms and the hallway.

The hotel is brand new. Very clean, towels were great. I liked the location, the entire staff was great and friendly. I really loved the breakfast. Two bottles of water, fresh towels and toiletries were provided daily.

The bed was too firm for my taste and I did not sleep well because of it was hard. On my last night a couple next door came back at 2 am and woke me up. I could hear everything they were saying - the wall between the rooms is not very thick - remember to bring earplugs just in case. The street of the hotel looks "sad" and sidewalks are either destroyed or missing. The view from my room on the street side was really sad - overlooking an empty area with trash and some ran-down houses. I requested to change the room, but that was not possible. It was not possible to regulate the temperature in the room via ac thermostate. The radiator in the bathroom was too hot and it is not possible to regulate the temperature on it either. I reported this to the reception..
