We enjoyed our one-night stay in Central Plaza Hotel! The location is very good! Just in the centre of Sofia, very close to Serdika MetroStation. There are a lot of street-food cafeterias nearby. Before making a decision which budget hotel to choose for booking I had monitored travellers reviews. I found the information that breakfast is good in Cenral Plaza Hotel. So that defined my choice! It turned out that was perfectly true! For us ,independent travellers, breakfast is crucial. Quite good choice of different sausages, cheese, fresh vegetables, olives, etc. A coffee machine with good cappucino ( not paper but very nice porcelain cups provided ))) And! Very tasty apple cake (wonderful!! like homemade). The interior of the cafeteria is really nice). So Central Plaza Hotel breakfast made our day!!!

Old and very loud air-conditioner. But that was not a problem cause we came late and spent a night with an opened window. And bathroom seems to be renovated(( Though it was clean and all necessary bathroom accessories were available.

Nice breakfast with a good choice, though it got a little busy at times so you may end up sharing a table, which was no problem for us. Great location, all the things we wanted to see were within walking distance. The staff were very helpful and gave us some ideas on places eat/drink. We ended up in the "Road 66" pub a few nights which is a very short walk away and served good beer and wine... but there are many other places close by or a short walk into town.

The trams were a little noisy in the early morning, but we were in a room at the front with a big window and balcony so this is maybe not the case for other rooms

We have been upgraded to another four star hotel nearby, that had better location near the city centre and we enjoied the free spa facilities of it. The facilities, staff, room, breakfast were amazing. Nearby the hotel you may find a park, bank, bus station, tram station, metro station, supermarket, pharmacy, barber shop and many more.

The only issue with the upgraded room to the other hotel is the fact that walls are thin so we were able to hear noise from road, the corridors and of the other rooms. Also we were able to hear noise from the aircondition of the room

The free wifi and breakfast was great, the staff were really friendly and helpful. Super close to everything and the rooms were cleaned daily if required. There was a mishap on arrival because the shuttle bus service/taxi they arrange, forgot to get us. they did arrange another, which we had to wait 30/40 mins for but that was fine. They also upgraded our room to the biggest room, with a balcony and a box of biscuits which is really sweet. Th bed was huge! Bigger than a king size, which made the room quite small. The rooms and decor are very basic and definately could do with a repaint and update. But you get what you pay for. I thought it was kind of charming.

Basic rooms, quite small and we had the biggest room. Needs an update and repaint and freshen up with filler and paint, maybe a change up of bedding to get a more modern feel. However, it was quaint and i quite liked it

Location very good , tram stop outside the Hotel and 5 minute walk to the Metro and Vitosha street. Staff warm and friendly. Room had everything we needed, very warm, the weather was cold and snowy when we were there, so the heat was very welcome. Never ending hot water. Breakfast was great, although the hot selection was running out, but we were late to breakfast, so had we been earlier...

THis isn't a complaint but rather niggle.The quilt for our double bed was only a single quilt,could have asked for another but at midnight couldn't be bothered!! The room was looking a little tired, mismatched wall paper cracks around the door frae, shower head loose. Little things.

Good, central location. Clean, comfortable room with great heating system (wasn't able to test out the aircon - wrong time of year). Very helpful, friendly staff. Great variety of seemingly unlimited items available for an unexpectedly impressive breakfast spread that was included in the very reasonable hotel stay price. The hotel is small and cosy, so staying there felt comfortable, relaxed, and almost homely. Once you get your bearings, the hotel makes a great base for getting around. I would definitely stay there again.

If you're a light sleeper, the trolley buses and trams might be quite loud. They run late and start early. However, a big city, central location, it's perhaps to be expected. Bring earplugs if necessary.

Staff was very helpful in solving issues that came up. Location is good - most things within 15-20 minute walk. The apartment was spacious and allows working remotely if desired. Breakfast is plentiful.

One of the bedrooms didn't have A/C. Some minor things were not up to par - some broken cabinet handles, some electrical sockets not working, etc. Overall maintenance could be better. Nothing major that should drive you away. It should be noted that the apartment is only reachable by stairs, so if accessibility is an issue, than this is not the choice for you. WiFi signal has some disconnections, but is usable for the most part.

The Central Plaza Hotel offered an excellent value when I stayed there. It is conveniently located a short walk from the metro, and an easy walk to Vitosha. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, nice and warm during the snowy weekend I stayed there. I would certainly confidently stay there again

Not really a major shortcoming, but the furniture is a bit well used, and the mattress might be nearing the end of its useful life. That said, I did sleep soundly while I was there.

Listen.This hotel would have scored 100.if i could.the hotel staff went way above anything one could ever imagine.my son had a health situation.we as a family cannot thank all the the staff enough for their help, understanding and kindness.we will always be indebted to them.from the front desk to the cleaning and kitchen staff.from the bottom of our hearts we thank you all.see you in May

Nothing to dislike

The room was clean, with a fresh set of towels, bed was so comfy, bathroom was clean. Room is exactly like on the pictures. Overall 10/10. Breakfast was amazing, all sorts of food for you to choose. 10/10 Room service is a 10/10, and also the staff at the check in. Even in this cold winter, the room temperature was perfect!!! Location is perfect, everything is within a 10 min walk at most.
