We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Sofia Palace Hotel! Located right in the heart of Sofia, just steps away from all the main attractions, it was the perfect base for exploring the city. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with complimentary coffee, tea, and water, which made us feel right at home.🛌🛎️💯 The reception staff were simply amazing — always smiling and ready to help with anything we needed. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced our experience.❤️ Breakfast was a real treat! The crispy fried bread, homemade banitsa, and the magical Bulgarian yogurt were just a few highlights of the delicious spread that started our days perfectly.☕️🍳🧇🥞 We can’t wait to come back to Sofia Palace again! We stayed here for a few nights to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel is located on a quiet, peaceful street, but you’d never guess how close it is to all the main sights. We were able to walk everywhere – museums, restaurants, little hidden corners of the city – and then come back to total calm at the end of the day. Our room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. It wasn’t fancy, but it was cozy and quiet, so we slept really well. The front desk staff were helpful from the very beginning, giving us thoughtful recommendations on what to see and do around the city. They even helped us make a reservation at a small restaurant nearby for our anniversary dinner, which ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Breakfast in the hotel was fresh and satisfying, with enough variety to start the day right. The whole place had a calm and friendly atmosphere, which made us feel relaxed the whole time. It felt like everything had been prepared with care. Honestly, the only bad thing was having to leave. We both wished we could stay longer. We will definitely come to the same hotel next time we’re in Sofia.

The bath could be cleaner. There was a lot of hair on the towels, bedding and linen.

The location was great, the rooms were quite large and comfortable, the water pressure was great, the beds were comfortable. We got a complimentary bottle of water each day. The staff members were nice and helpful, especially the guy that worked nights.

We booked two double rooms and one of us stayed in each room. My room was not cleaned at all until the day before I left, they only replaced towel and added toilet papers and even then it was only one a day, I had to ask for more. The toiletries that were used were mot replace until the day before I left. My sister's room was not cleaned at all and on the day before we left she didn't even get new roles of toilet paper although there weren't any in the room. The blankets were single and very small, when I asked for a bigger one they said that that's the only blankets they had. It feels like with really minor improvements it can become a close to perfect hotel.

Location a short stroll from the main tourist area, many places to eat within a 10-15 minute dander. 'Safe area' to walk in but one must always watch their step (more so in the dark) as the pavements were full of trip hazards with broken paving, etc - not the fault of hotel but of local municipality. Staff welcoming, helpful and informative about the area. The room we booked had a seperate sitting area, which was most welcome as extra space. Fridge in room with minibar if you wanted it (chargeable). Complementary Kettle, tea, coffee, water in room available daily. Self-service breakfast was a good selection of cereals, fruit, breads, meats, cheeses, drinks, more than adequate to set you up for the day. Overall good value for money

A socket came out of the wall - just ignored it, it's the Balkans! Central air conditioning still on 'winter mode' so no cool air in room (one of our days it was 25C). Hotel did apologise for this at start of our stay and recommend we keep window open. Did this, and not disturbed too much by city noise but gave a few blood suckers (muzzies) a chance to invade the room at night. Nothing else negative.

Comfortable and clean, staff were welcoming and professional, housekeeping service was really quick and efficient. The breakfast was excellent, a buffet with Bulgarian and Western options, all great quality Perfect location as well, centrally located and close to public transport - but also peaceful and quiet, thanks to being located on a small backstreet with little traffic

The AC in my room seemed very weak - not a problem during my stay as I could just open the window at night, but I might have second thoughts about staying here during summer

Location is perfect. It is very close to the city centre, but in a much quieter location, perfect for resting. Breakfast is diverse and with fresh bakes, eggs and etcs. The room has a good space and a mini bar. I booked also one parking spot (must be booked after the confirmation of the room), and it was great to not think about where to park the car.

The only complain would be the temperature inside the room. It is very hot and get a bit uncomfortbale to sleep. I needed to remove the blanket from the cover, and sleep only with the cover (naked). I know that is hard to set a temperature that would pleased everybody, but if it is hot, at least give the option of having regular sheets instead of the blanket. I would give a better rating, but this impacted significantly the resting part.

The hotel maintained a high standard of cleanliness, and my room was impeccably tidy. It gave me peace of mind knowing that health and safety protocols were prioritized. Another bonus was the parking facility. It provided a secure and convenient option for those traveling by car. Overall, my experience at Hotel Sofia Palace was wonderful, and I would gladly return on my next visit!

I selected this hotel for one night stay because of its location and reasonable price. The staff at the reception was excellent, very helpful and resposible. The equiment and furniture in the room was rather outdated and weared out, but for that price and for short stay is was acceptable. No slippers in the room, as declared, you have to ask reception staff. Breakfast was good and I enjoyed it. Overall - "good but not great", but still perfectly worth it if you are tight on budget.

What make me laught was the "safety deposit box" that could hardly fit a larger wallet and a passport, nothing else (see photo). Moreover, it is firmly attached to the wardrobe floor which is completely, let's say, "unclever" as it makes it totally inaccessible and unusable, unless you are an experienced soldier used to crawling on the ground.

I was on a business trip to Sofia and chose Sofia Palace Hotel because of its central location. The rooms are wonderful, and I especially enjoyed having a bathtub in the bathroom along with the high-quality toiletries provided. Congratulations on the wonderful breakfast – a perfect way to start the day! Thank you for your attention to detail and quality! At the reception, they have a taxi ordering button, and the taxi arrived within minutes, which was very convenient. Looking forward to staying with you again in two weeks!
