Brand new building fitted out so nicely. Good central location, I walked everywhere. The beds are almost like pods which are quiet and comfortable with ducted AC beds have curtain, light, usb chargers and shelf. Everything you could want from a dorm. There was even a tiny balcony, study nook and a thick curtain separating the bed area from the toilet, shower and basin which were all separate too. Little things like walkway sensor lighting at night for going to the toilet and soundproofing. Very nice! Many common areas and lounging spaces in the AC reception downstairs. Also a rooftop on one building and laundry downstairs. I never went to the restaurant/bar but there were always people there. They do pub crawls everyday too. Would recommend staying!

Great stay! Only trouble was the luggage storage in the dorms are just big drawers under the bottom bunks and my bag couldn’t fit. Bit awkward for the person on the bottom bunk too. They have standing lockers as well but only for a small backpack. Also, the lockers in luggage storage after checkout are very expensive (these are optional they let you leave your bag on top of the lockers if you want)

I've stayed in another Central House Hostel a few times so I had high expectations. Almost all of my expectations were met and I'm glad I decided to book TCH again. The hostel has great facilities and definitely gives the hotel feel of other TCH hostels. The staff was amazing - very friendly and helpful. Thank you Ibrahim for all the recommendations and warm welcome. The room was even better than what I expected, very spacious and organized , you could sit up on your bed comfortably - I stayed in a 6-bed-mixed. The door to the balcony actually opened, many lighting options, separate toilet and large sink outside the shower. I do wish there was a small sink inside the toilet. The dorm was very clean - shower ,sinks, bathroom , bedding, shelves, everything. However, there was a bit of dust in the bunk bed frame and around the wall charging points. Nothing major, but enough for me to notice. Just something for housekeeping to be mindful of. The staff at Citynizer bar/restaurant were really nice and the food was lovely. The bar also had a nice atmosphere. Overall a very good place to stay . I will definitely be returning to TCH Lavapiés!! Ps. The hostel does walking tours with Wolf Tours. I went on one if the tours and really enjoyed it. Erika , the guide, was very informative, friendly and created a pleasant and social environment for us to socialise. Half of us ended up spending the whole day together after the tour.

The location was convenient, you can easily get to main spots, shops and transport. It can be sketchy at night, be careful at late hours and avoid walking by yourself. I did go out on my own after 22h00 and was fine (I read a review that mentioned the same thing and was very alert). However, a dorm mate almost got mugged when he arrived around the same time. Not really anything the hostel can do about it, but something to be aware of.

- great comfortable bed with a curtain and shelf to put your belongings - room is exceptionally clean, and is cleaned daily by a professional staff - bathroom has a hotel-quality shower, there's also soap and shampoo that can be used - climate in room is good, incl. A/C and ventilation - there's a drinking water tap close to the reception - hostel is located in a fun neigborhood, and it's only a short walk to main sights

- given a room with 6 beds, to have only 1 shower and 1 toilet available is too little. There are no external showers available. - the sink is inside the room. It would be better to have it separated. - if you expect a typical hostel where meeting people goes naturally, this may not be the place for you. There's a nice bar/ restaurant, yet this is also open to the public, and therefore it misses the hostel vibe. Again, for some people this can be a pro, it depends what you're looking for. To that end there's also no kitchen you can use or a fridge to store your own food. So this place is more something in between a hostel and a hotel.

I've been to more than 30 countries, and I could confidently say this is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in! All the staff are super friendly and helpful. All the facilities are great: spacious bed, quiet and clean room, ect. I appreciated the welcome drink, which makes it easier for people, especially the shy ones like me to get involved in the community and talk to the others. This great vibe will stay with me for a long while. ¡Muchas gracias!

Welcoming and friendly staff who go out of their way to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Very clean; lounge area always clean and great WiFi. Excellent location, lots of restaurants, cafes and bars close by; metro station close; walking distance to El Retiro which was a bonus.

There are mixed dorms & there is nowhere to dress . The shower room is the size of a broom closet and therefore you can't dress in there; I'm not a big person and it's difficult enough to get your clothes off, no way are you able to towel down and get dressed. This is a huge fail.

There was a curtain on each bed which helped with privacy. The all girl rooms were brilliant. 1st hostel stay ever where the room remained clean/tidy for the whole stay. Each girl would take there things out to use and put them away before heading out. The cleaners came and went at a reasonable time. The check in/out process was easy. I got to check in early as my room was available. Really nice area where there were loads of options to eat out for brunch + dinner. The lounge/reception area was really comfortable and modern and was the perfect reading spot to sit and rest the legs after a long day

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great, and the beds are very comfortable. It's a big plus that each bed has a curtain for extra privacy. There’s also a small balcony, which is a nice touch. In the private 8-bed room, there is one toilet and two showers, which was very convenient. There are drawers under the beds and lockers in the room as well. After check-out, it's possible to rent lockers in various sizes to store your belongings. The common area is also well-equipped, including a kitchen and a laundry machine.

Cleanliness could definitely be improved. Our group of five booked an 8-bed private room, so we had several beds to choose from. Unfortunately, one of the beds had dirty sheets with mud stains and hair on them. The floor was dusty and had hair as well. We only used the place for sleeping and managed with slippers, but even walking from the bed to the bathroom in socks meant picking up visible dust and hair on the way. Towels are not provided by default, but they are available to rent. You get a small bath mat-style towel for the bathroom, which is replaced daily.

I was travelling alone for work and I chose an private room with a private bathroom, so I basically had a hotel experience in the hostel. The room was great, clean, comfortable, private. Good blackout curtains, nice decoration. The hotel is very central, close to the metro and not far to walk to major attractions. Lots of places to eat around as well. I also liked the fact that the hostel had good ambience, and had its own bars, one of them was a lovely rooftop. There were activities available for the guest which sounded great, I just ended up not having time to try them.

If I had to point out anything, was that the bed was a little hard, but I slep really well anyway.

Everything very well organized, bench beds and their drawers and spins, air-conditioning working (23 degrees can feel sometimes cold at night without blanket), friendly staff, good breakfast, nice co-working room.

It was my second time there and I liked much more my first time in Sep 2024 when the decorative pool was so beautiful and clean, I even got inside it and appreciated a lot being inside there enjoying the sun in the mornings. This time the decorative pool lacked maintenance, it was very sad and frustrating as I had high expectation of enjoying it again.

This hostel is recommended with enthusiasm! I stayed for a whole week in a 4 bed all women room. My roomies were super-considerate, friendly, yet respectful of interpersonal boundaries. The location is fantastic - walkable distance to everywhere or the metro. The staff, knowledgeable, attentive and always eager to help. The mattress firm and responsive. Sufficient blankets. The thick curtains allow for privacy and block the light of the other roommates. The storage facilities for the luggage - spacious (remember to bring your own lock). Good water pressure and plenty hot water in the bathroom. The room was meticulously cleaned on a daily basis, and linens changed every couple of days. The breakfast is one of the best deals in town if your diet consists of fruits, vegetables, and other nutritious, low-cal foods.

The pillow was uncomfortable. Bring your own. The lighting in the shared spaces was weird and not sufficient aside from the bathroom, where the lighting is a-ok. But do not let these quibbles detract from the awesomeness of the place.
