Location is excellent - 5 minute walk and you are the centre of the old city. If parking at the hotel is full, there is nearby public parking that was amazing (we used that one). Breakfast included pastries, fruits and yoghurt - really good value for the cost. Rooms were spacious and facilities had everything we needed. Excellent for a weekend stay to explore Ghent further. Also the hostess was very friendly and informative about Ghent, provided us with a map and explained where all the key highlights are and recommended a walking route - really appreciated that!

There is no elevator so be careful with heavy luggage, we were luckily on the first floor and were travelling with smaller luggage bags. Nothing else to note.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. I was a bit nervous as I only speak English however the lady who welcomed us (can’t remember her name) was great and her English was also great. She gave us a map of Ghent and talked us through where we were and how to get to all the main sites. We were in room 6 which was a nice sized room with a little sofa for us to sit on if we didn’t want to sit on the bed. We also had a bit of an entrance hall within our room which was great to leave our case in. Would recommend the hotel to friends and family.

Minor point, only had one towel per person which for someone with long hair was a faff but I’m sure if I had asked for an extra towel they would have provided it, I just wasn’t bothered enough to ask.

We booked a family room for a 2 night stay in Ghent. The staff members were extremely knowledgeable and friendly and provided us with wonderful information about our location and the city. The receptionist was exceptionally accommodating to our family of 4. She took great care to set a special breakfast table for our 2 year old with a high chair and kids cup. The breakfast was wonderful and a perfect start to our day. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, providing ample space for our family to relax after a long day of exploring the city. The location is only a 5 minute walk from the major Ghent tourist sites, making this hotel a perfect place to stay with young children. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ghent.

Enormous bedroom with terrific amount of storage space. Large bathroom with toiletries. Towels changed every day. Tremendous choice of continental breakfast. Self service. Everything replaced when supplies running low. On arrival suitcases taken upstairs ( 2 floors) for us. In very quiet location but only a few minutes walk into the centre.

Steep stairs meant taking our suitcases down a bit tricky. Although it was great to be able to park our car in their garage, thought 20€ a night was steep.

Fabulous location-everything in walking distance, but quiet overnight. Room was large and comfortable, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The parking was very much appreciated! Breakfast buffet also very satisfying. Excellent value for money.

Perhaps a sign on the garage door saying 'Hotel Cathedral Parking' would have helped us to know we were in the right place!

A winner!!!! The location is excellent: very easy walk to all major sites and restaurants. Hostess was exceptionally kind and helpful! She went above and beyond to assist us. Her restaurant recommendations proved to be excellent. Very good breakfast which included gluten free options. On-site parking was enclosed and safe. Very large room included comfortable seating area and higher grade coffee machine. Will stay here again and recommend to friends.

Excellent location, easy walks to all central tourist sites. Optional garage parking was good for us as we were touring. Friendly, helpful staff, good breakfast.

Driving to and from the hotel was very difficult with much redevelopment in progress and diversions made it confusing - even with sat nav. Also now low emissions zone in force - ensure you register your car online beforehand (it's free, even for visitors from the UK like us) - also valid for Antwerp (but not Brussels).

The location is very good, walking distance to restaurants, shopping and attractions. My room was medium sized with a good size bathroom, both very clean. Air condition was perfect but wifi was very weak in my room with a lot of disconnections. Breakfast was good. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and always available to help.

Lovely vibe, room was good and breakfast area beautifuly set out very relaxing. Also breakfast choice so good lots to chose from very satisfying. Had secure garage to store bikes which is very important. Staff who we encountered were so friendly and helpful made you feel very comfortable.

No complaints we happy we everything.

Room was spacious, fully furnished and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was large as well. Breakfast was nice, enough to fill a stomach and tasty. Airco was there as well.

Heating didn't work (central one) but I used airco. In the morning in bathroom (sink) there was no warm water and heating didn't work, so it was quite cold.
