The hotel requested my credit card number supposedly to ensure coverage for any damages or incidentals, which seemed unusual to me. When I declined, I was informed that a 50EUR cash deposit was required, something I haven't encountered at other hotels. This unexpected request was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise pleasant stay. Despite this, the room was comfortable and the staff courteous. However, it would have been better if the hotel had informed guests about such policies in advance to avoid any surprises.

A kettle was made available for the duration of my stay after I enquired about tea/coffee making facilities. Perfect pillows so very happy with the bed, and plenty of well thought out storage in the room. All the staff were very helpful. The location was great. Only 5 minutes walk from the Metro but easy walking to Retiro Park and beyond.

Despite the double-glazing, there was a lot of street noise in the early hours. People talking weren't doing so quietly, and voices seemed to echo. It was 4am when one individual gave up one night.

Everything!!!!! Stuff was sooo kind and helpful, especially those guys working on breakfast serving. Our room (413) was PERFECTLY CLEAN EVERYDAY, NOT EVEN A SMALL DUST WAS IN THE ROOM ANYTIME. It was soooooo comfortable and we reccomend this hotel to everyone. We payed for the breakfast because we didnt book accomodation with it, and the offer was great. Basicly all you eat for breakfast usually at home (eggs, saussages, bacon, few bread types, salads, cheese, yogurt, muslie.......). Receptionist are very nice, helpful, they left our luggage in hotel storage for all day since our flight was late at night. Location is FANTASTIC! Safe, clean, a lot of bars around, pharmacy on the corner, grocery store also. Only 2 minutes walking distance from metro station which conects you with city centre.

Elevator (lift). It is veeery small , only for 3 people. A little bit noicy because of bad isolation, but it didnt bother us at all because we are heavy sleepers 🤣

The location was excellent with plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants nearby. It was a pleasant walk into the centre of the city and apparently very easy by public transport but we didn’t use it. The staff were brilliant and went over and above to help. Antonio made some phone calls on my behalf and helped reunite me with a pair of shoes that I’d bought and accidentally left in another shop in the centre!

We were surprised that there was no safe, no fridge and no tea and coffee making facilities. The latter is not so important but with temperatures up in the high 30s low 40s a mini fridge to keep drinks cold would have been good. It was quite noisy, the cleaner in the room opposite sounded like she was cleaning in our room!

The room had a little balcony, which was lovely in the evening. There was a little desk too. The room was small - suitable for one person. The single bed mattress was very comfortable and everything was clean. Despite being a single room, the bed had two pillows, which was a big plus for me. The room seemed to have good soundproofing, as I could hear a distant party with people belly laughing, but inside the room with the fan running, this was not an issue at all. The receptionist came to the door to make sure my wake-up call had been received properly, as the phone didn't work properly.

The phone didn't work properly. The distance between toilet and shower cabin was quite narrow. Only one electrical outlet by the bed, which was occupied by the hotel phone. One more for the mobile phone charger would be useful. It would be a nice touch with a tissue box on the bathroom shelf for make-up removal.

Clean , good restaurants very close by , helpful staff, near metro so 15 minutes from city centre ( Sol).

Breakfasts were hit or miss - never got a satisfactory coffee / machine coffee was rubbish and barista not much better . You must start your day with a great coffee !!! Fresh fruit at breakfast was limited . No fridge in room . Choice of a bath would have been special .

I was upgraded to a double room upon check-in, which was ver spacious and full of light. The room smelled nice and was very clean. It was relatively close to the shops and restaurants in Salamanca and very well connected to public transport.

Breakfast was expensive so I chose to have it at a coffee shop one block away for a third of the price.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. We paid 15 euros extra for all 4 days for a room with a balcony, which meant we got a quiet end room . Well worth the price. Our rooms were cleaned daily. We did not order breakfast, so I can not give an opinion about that. The hotel is near public transport and it was easy to get around Madrid from there. We were very happy with our decision to stay at this hotel.

From the bathroom we could hear the people in the room next door. As it was just from the bathroom it didn't bother us too much

It’s the best quality for its money! VERY clean, the location is just perfect, now it’s my favourite district in Madrid. The bed is super big and comfortable, it’s really a game-changer because even in expensive hotels you are not always getting a nice pillow. 1 min to the metro and bus stations, lots of restaurants around.

The breakfast is modest but nice, coffee beans should changed to anything better…

Location - great for Metro. 200m. Straight to centre. Safe area. Good quality restaurants and bars on same street. Room and bathroom are modern and clean. Staff are great.

Breakfast has good choice, but quality needs attention. Coffee machine really needs a definite upgrade. It is really poor and the staff know now. (Good coffee in the morning is so important. Right?) But then I think they charge at only €10 for breakfast so not a deal breaker. So don't dismiss the hotel for this.
