Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Free room upgrade was offered from a King room to a King Suite. So spacious. Walk in waterfall shower and a bathtub. Location was in very close proximity to coffee shops, groceries, pharmacy, restaurants and easy access to other sights. 24 hour business centre, gym and free self serve laundry, and snack machines. Front desk are happy to top up extra Nespresso pods, cream, teas etc. Fresh fruit offered at front desk and in the business centre - nice touch for those heading out for the day. Evening door knock offered bathroom amenities such as toothbrush, toothpaste and extra coffee pods for the morning - brilliant extra service offered without having to ask. Swimming pool and hot tub with extra towels offered at the pool. Great job!

Vancouver prices are over the top. Not specific to the hotel as it was competitive pricing. There's really nothing to complain about with this hotel. Even after arriving at the airport on our way home, we had left an item in our taxi and phoned the hotel, the staff was happy to assist in connecting us with the cab company so we were able to retrieve the item. So appreciated.

We loved everything about the property. Location was so close to food and activities. Bed was very comfortable, albeit a little on the high side. Afternoon room service delivery of things such as coffee pods and chocolate. Washing machine / dryer access was so helpful as was the complimentary washing powder. The heated pool was still a little cool for my liking but the spa was fabulous to relax in after a day of exploring. The staff were always helpful and friendly.

For me the only thing that bothered me a little, at times, was the height of the bed, was extra effort to get into bed as I’m 5.1 lol!

Besides for its "more affordable than most" near-downtown Vancouver location, we booked this hotel largely because its exceptional staff sounded (and indeed proved) the most accommodating of all at properties we'd contacted in light of our schedule. We needed a place to stay for just over 24 hours, as we were arriving early morning on the overnight train from Jasper to Vancouver and planned to take a bus-ferry service to Victoria the next day early afternoon. The staff recalled our advance written request to leave our luggage upon our arrival about 9 a.m. and made it easy for us to get reorganized to go out exploring for the day. They were in fact able to get us checked in very early afternoon, before we'd left the premises, as we'd been allowed to use the pool and sauna facilities after "pre-check in" upon our arrival. We found our room very large and well-furnished and the entire hotel very airy and spacious, with a pleasant colorful decor. We certainly appreciated the amenities we could use in the short time we were there, and, had we stayed longer, would have taken advantage of the hotel's readily available bikes, free for exploring the city, and its work-out area . The hotel feels altogether stylish, clean, quiet, and secure--and the apples and citrus water at reception are a nice touch!

We usually try to take public transportation immediately upon arriving in a new city, but this hotel, located somewhat on the edge of Vancouver's downtown, looked difficult to reach with the bus/Skytrain routes while pulling luggage. Happily a taxi at the train station could take us to the hotel quickly and for a better-than-expected price. We were then able to walk around the city center and to the piers very conveniently without luggage and did figure out how to manage our way back to the train/bus station even with luggage for our departure next day.

Clean and room was very nice. It was easy to control the temperature. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Billing was a nightmare. Every day we were there a different nightly room charge would appear. We had agreed to pay @$850 for 4 nights. At one point I had over $1330 in room charges waiting to clear our bank account and at NO point did we charge anything extra to the room. I talked to someone at front desk and they promised to have someone at front desk clear 2 of charges. We have been home 2 nights and I am still waiting for 2 pending charges to drop off. Meanwhile over $865 for 4 nights has now cleared our bank account and they are still holding those other funds. When we checked in they also unexpectedly told us they would hold $400 in funds till we checked out and then they would be released. Very stressful.

The room was a short block from the soccer stadium - you can see if from the room. There are many restaurants within a short walk. The room was extremely clean, fancy, and comfortable. We only stayed one night, so unfortunately we didn't get to spend as much time as we would have liked in the area.

They serve breakfast for $20 each. If you don't make your reservation through Booking.com, then they give you a $20 per person voucher for breakfast - which is likely where you are seeing the Booking.com savings. So, you can just know that up front. No big deal, we were traveling with kids and McDonalds was a very short walk away.

The stand-out aspect of this hotel for us was the quality of the staff. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful at all points throughout our stay (from having complementary apples in the lobby, to helping with luggage to and from the room/taxi, to also bringing us the amenities we requested directly to our room, to getting us new rental bikes when we discovered a problem with one of them), and were available to help at any hour of the day. They were also able to safely store our luggage for over a day when we took a day trip to Victoria before returning to stay one more night. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a nice coffee machine (and pods) included. The view from the room was also quite nice, and there were plenty of facilities available (pool, sauna, hot tub) for those wanting to spend more time at the hotel and relax. For the affordable price, the hospitality and slight feeling of luxury provided completely exceeded my expectations.

The only very small thing (which was not enough to detract from the overall experience) is that the hotel is not immediately near to a train station, requiring a 10-minute walk from the nearest Canada Line stations (Yalehouse-Roundtown or Vancouver City Center). So if you have a lot of luggage, I would recommend calling a taxi. But the stay was basically perfect, which I almost never say about a hotel. Would strongly recommend.

The room was great. It included everything that made a long term stay very comfortable and easy. The front desk staff was always friendly. Had a minor technical issue with in-room phone and was handled immediately. The location is excellent, being downtown it is easy to get around, and plenty of places to eat around the hotel.

Just a tip to keep in mind: the hotel is right beside BC Place stadium... during games or events, you may find it difficult to navigate the area due to the amount of people/fans.

Convenient location, within walking distance to all city attractions, with metro and bus stop nearby. The city center in Vancouver is quite compact. The room was fairly clean and spacious; it was perfect for two people. The shower was big and comfortable, with daily housekeeping and daily replacement of coffee capsules. The bed was very big and high.

The exhaust fan was too noisy in the bathroom; it was so powerful that your hair would dry instantly while you were still drying off after a shower :D. The heating was only through the air conditioner, which was also quite noisy. However, we discovered that by first adjusting the air to the desired temperature, then setting the thermostat lower, the air conditioner would continue to run, keeping the room warm at night and reducing noise. We were not particularly fond of the water system; to refill the provided small bottle, we had to go to the corridor every time. It might be helpful to offer at least 2 bottles or a larger pitcher in the room.

The balcony would have been a valued facility but unfortunately the weather was too cold and wet to use it! Excellent launderette facility near the gym and good swimming pool, also appreciated. Location excellent and very close to public transport and surrounded by large number of eating possibilities. Excellent bathroom and shower, although his and hers washbasins would have been nice. excellent room cleaning service.

We preferred taking breakfast in one of the many local cafes. We did not like having to choose a breakfast menu from several different styles of breakfast, when would have much preferred a mix and match flexibility. Only used this on last day, and the service at table was appreciated, attentive and friendly.

I really liked how attentive and kind all the staff are. From the moment I arrived, my check in was greeted with smiles, when I had a question it would be answered in a quick and helpful manner, the restaurant staff are very kind, they care about you enjoying the food. The checkout process was simple. The text messaging system for concerns are answered quickly. I loved the sauna, hot tub. The location is amazing, I never had to use private transportation to the places where I wanted to go, buses and trains can be accessed easily from this location.

I wish the restaurant operated longer hours from breakfast to dinner. The gym could be a little better equipped. The AC in the loft is downstairs and it takes a while to reach the bedroom upstairs.
