Great location. Parking included. Good restaurants nearby as well as public transportation. The hotel was built in 1910 and is nestled between high rise buildings. The hotel has some lovely old style features and is in immaculate condition, with very helpful staff. All the furnishings are traditional and nice quality. Good beds and linens, robes, slippers. We rented bicycles from nearby Simon's bicycle which provides a discount for Kingston guests and had a lovely ride around Stanley park. I would also recommend the Medina Cafe across the street for brunch. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel has a very nice character. If one is booking the rooms where the bathroom is in the hallway, rest assured that the bathrooms are clean and well supplied.

I had an overnight layover in Vancouver and chose the Kingston Hotel for its location - walkable to downtown. The price for a private room with a shared bathroom was just right. Everyone had a personal key to lock their rooms/belongings and the staff made sure to enforce security, having everyone buzz in after hours. The staff and other guests were very kind. In fact I ended up joining the Trolley hop-on-hop-off tour per their recommendation to get a 2hr scenic tour before my connection. I already want to go back!

What a delightful hotel! Very old and they have kept all the charm while providing modern touches like air-conditioning. The only room they had left for our 2 night stay was a twin room with en-suite bathroom, but it was a lovely big room with a huge walk in closet with robes & slippers too. The bedding was high quality sheets with a fleece blanket and quilted bedspread, extremely comfortable beds, choice of pillows and we slept very well. It was very clean, lots of toiletries, fresh coffee in the lobby every morning and all the staff were friendly. Location is great, walking distance of the Waterfront, eateries, shops, the tower, steam clock, parks etc, and busses & trains very close. The bar & restaurant next door was a really good atmosphere and great food, and hotel guests get a 15% discount. All in all a lovely hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended and a very affordable rate.

This hotel is in-between high rises. But it was so convenient with the venue I needed to go to. The restaurant, cafe, coffee stores, grocery stores, and shopping are just walk away. Can save you Uber/taxi rides. Very nicely situated. Staff accommodating.

Even if the Iron board is not available in your room. They have a room where you can go to the laundry room. I had my own bathroom. I highly still request it instead of sharing if you can afford it.

Great location, Vancouver downtown. Hotel is good and comfortable. Rooms (we booked two double with private bathroom) are ok, pretty clean, and very good value for the price. No AC, but we stayed in September and had zero issues. Clean bathroom. Hotel offers complimentary coffee and tea in the morning, which is a nice plus before going out for breakfast with plenty of places within 10 minutes of walk. Staff is kind and service oriented. We would come back again.

One day rooms were not made, but the staff reacted on our complaints and sorted it out in a few hours. One room had enough plugs, while the other had very few, and it was difficult to charge electronics in the night.

My husband and I were extremely pleased with every part of our experience with this hotel from check-in to check out. I'm going to leave a detailed review. First, when we arrived, we parked in the loading bay, and I went inside to ask the concierge where our parking would be. Knowing this hotel was right downtown in a central prime location, I wondered if it would be included in my stay. I was pleased to learn that free parking was provided in secure underground parking directly beside the hotel. It was easy to find a spot, and the parking had security. Next, check-in was a breeze. We arrived over an hour before the official check-in time, but the concierge did not bat an eye and promptly saw us to our room. We were very pleased with our room because we READ THE DETAILS OF THE HOTEL UPON BOOKING AND KNEW WHAT TO EXPECT. (Unlike some of these other reviews) What makes the layout of this hotel different is that the room features a vanity and a sink/mirror, and the washrooms are communal on each floor. We had no issue with this at all. You need to understand that this is a historical converted building, and so this is what the original layout allowed for. We had no problem with this. The room was small and tidy! It was perfectly suitable for our needs because we didn't travel to Vancouver to stay in our room. But I feel they went above and beyond with the complimentary items they provided in the room. Besides the typical shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, there were also makeup wipes for women, q-tips. Nail files and a shoe shining mitt! Very appreciated. The bed was comfy, and the location was quiet and peaceful. I had a restful sleep. Some other great amenities included FREE on-site laundry (this is rare for a hotel!) and a dry sauna! Wow. They also serve complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby in the morning. It was pouring rain during our stay, and they provided complimentary umbrellas for our use, which I didn't think to pack!

The price and location absolutely can not be beat. Quick walk to anything you might want to do downtown. Just a block from robson square, less than 10 monutes from gastown and a very reasonable bike away from stanley park. Small but clean and functional rooms, friendly and helpful staff.

The rooms are very small and minimalistic but perfectly fine for a one or two night stay, especially if you aren't planning on spending most of your day in the hotel room. We will definitely keep this place in mind next time a concert or event brings us to Vancouver.

The location, staff, and facilities. I was also given a 15%off voucher to use next door at Fable Diner & Bar. I had plenty of towels in my single room with a sink. The shared bathroom was clean and well maintained. Coffee and tea facilities were available on ground floor. I liked the location and accessibility to the city, transport and car access. Thank you Kingston for a great stay.

Do not miss the Sauna. Would be nice if it was open longer hours, but it was very nice on these cold rainy days. Was nice NOT having a TV in the room. Wifi worked in my room that was furthest from the front of the hotel. Very convenient location, close to shops, and public transportation. Slippers & robe provided for a nice touch. Washrooms were very clean. I'll definitely come back.

Nothing. Ok the soaps were a little chalky but they did the job.

I chose this property for the location and the rate. I sometimes stay at hostels but wanted a private room. My room was a private single with shared bath. The weather was unusually warm so I liked that there was a small portable fan in the room to help me feel more comfortable. The room had a small window and I was able to open it to get some fresh air. I liked that there was an elevator. The front desk staff were very pleasant & helpful.

My bed mattress seemed very old and a bit lumpy. Because I was so tired after being active all day I was able to sleep but just trying to sit on the bed was not very comfortable at all. The bedspread was a bit oversized that I kept tripping over it. It was very pretty though. No A/C made it uncomfortable but during another season it would be better. My floor had a men’s bathroom and the shared main bathroom with the shower. I think the men’s bathroom should be made unisex since there wasn’t another separate woman’s bathroom.
