The management of this hotel must have had much travel experience: my room had a mini microwave, tea and coffee maker; and ironing facilities; the room was spotlessly clean; the bed was comfortable; it was quiet, although not short of guests; the front desk staff members were helpful while multitasking; the food in the small restaurant/bar was excellent, as was the breakfast. Nothing was overdone, rather everything needed for a pleasant stay was provided. The view from my room of the sunset and sunrise over the trees was stunning. Also, there is a small group of shops within walking distance.

I deducted a point as the free shuttle from the airport is by a phone call request. For those, like me, who were simply overnighting for a flight layover between countries outside the US and didn't have a US SIM card, a taxi/Uber was the only option. The ability to call from the Dulles International Airport would be helpful.

I loved the room one bdrm with kitchen. It was close to the airport and the shuttle ran every 30 mins to the airport. Easy to catch the metro silver line to the city and all the museums. I would like to specially mention Sunny at front desk he was exceptionally professional and always a pleasure to see on front desk always helpful. I love this place I would go back and stay

The surrounding didn't have many options I couldn't even go for a walk around the block. Also they have a sheets next to the hotel it's helpful however all the truckies park up there and I didn't realises me walking to sheets I could clearly be mistaken for a working girl. This ain't a biggy but better to know if you are traveling from another country

Close to airport, supportive staff and breakfast. I returned my car the night before leaving and it was easy to check in first, dump the car and then grab the hotel’s shuttle back. The driver was awesome! My room was very spacious. When I couldn’t locate a hair dryer, the front desk immediately found a brand new one for me. I can’t remember his name but he was very welcoming and helpful. In the morning, I left before breakfast opened but was able to snag a cup of OJ and a bagel, before hopping on the shuttle.

It's 5 minutes away from the airport - that was perfect for me as i was staying over for one night then had a flight to catch the following day. It's also very clean and very comfortable bed. I stayed at Hyatt House in San Jose and Cupertino early this year - I really like their properties

There was a litre of water going at USD 6 in the room so had to order in a gallon of water from 7 Eleven at USD 2

The hotel is 10 Minuutes from Dulles Airport by Hotelssuttle; which runs every 30 minutes. The comfortable and big rooms were apartments with cooking faciliries, fridge and dishwasher. Staff was friendly and effizient. There was a good complimentary breakfast. Everything nett and clean.

As the hotel is close to the airport naturaly the Washington city center and all sights are far away. The area around the hotel is not very interesting. A gas station and a Burger King restaurant is about all it offers.

The shuttle bus to and from the airport is very convenient. The front desk staff is very enthusiastic and helps to solve any problems. The room is very clean, the breakfast variety is very rich, and there is a convenience store near the hotel, which is only a 5-minute walk away. It is a very good experience!

The staff was courteous and friendly. The hotel itself was updated and clean. Our hotel suite was very clean and had everything that we needed. The complimentary breakfast had a nice variety of items and was very good.

Our mattress was a little lumpy and uncomfortable. My husband ended up going to the sofa because he so uncomfortable. This was our only complaint. Everything else was perfect! We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Everything about the hotel was amazing, ranging from check-in, the staff, the location...very close to Dulles Airport and breakfast was great. I enjoyed the swimming pool, very clean. I will recommend this to friends

I have not got my $50 deposit back. Haven't been refunded and it's more than 1 month already. Room was never cleaned for the 4 nights i stayed there, though they kept changing the towels in the bath.

The rooms are spacious. The facility is nice. the beds are comfortable. The staff is very nice.

You have to pay to park and it's not told in the description that they charge a $10 fee per day and they tell you that it's because it's being done by a third-party. This should be told upfront. The comforters are a bit worn. The breakfast was adequate after the first day we skipped it.

We decided to book a hotel room near the airport to cater for any weather-delayed trans-Atlantic flight and the expected long queues at US Immigration, and then move into Washington DC the next morning to start our USA holiday proper. The Hyatt House Sterling was chosen for its location together with its free shuttle, plus its price. Good tip - go to Dulles information desk in Arrival Halls and they will ring the hotel to call for the shuttle (from Stand 2G outside Arrival Door 6). A perfectly good room to rest and recover from the trans-Atlantic flight and the long immigration queues. The bar was undergoing renovation (rebuild) during our arrival in USA and so we were limited to using the adjacent StreetZ convenience shop at the gas station (50 metres away) for food on our first evening's stay - just adequate for two tired travellers. On our second visit some 3 weeks later (to depart USA next day, again as trans-Atlantic) the bar was 'up & running', with a good selection of snacks and full evening meals - a very pleasant evening spent in the bar that night. Breakfast was the standard America breakfast with a hot option (scrambled eggs, bacon, etc) - perfectly adequate with good service. We made a good choice in the Hyatt Hotel Sterling for our two transit night stops - we would use it again if transiting through Dulles.

No criticisms of the Hyatt Hotel - it provided what was advertised on the booking.com website
