My recent getaway to Diani Reef in January 2024 was truly delightful! The pristine white sandy beach was just perfect. What made it even better was the unexpected free upgrade we received, a wonderful treat for our third visit. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the hotel is bouncing back, and my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's easily one of the finest hotels around, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The nightly performances were simply spectacular, and it was lovely to see so many Europeans enjoying their time there too. Don't hesitate – book your stay at Diani Reef; you won't regret it! I really enjoyed beach time - the hotel security 'maasais' patrol the hotel beach line, so vendors and beach boys won't disturb you. As a plus they shoo away cheeky monkeys trying to steal your snacks 😃 The children loved the swimming pools and the playground. I also really enjoyed the daily 11.00 am activities by Dan and his troupe. We relieved our childhood playing water polo. The aerobics was super fun! The stretches worked! The food was well done and even the picky little eaters thought it was yummy! Especially our orders from the beach restaurant. The grilled prawns with coconut rice was our staple 😋 Solomon the bartender was exceptional at his work and we felt very comfortable and well taken care of - our drinks and cocktails came just like we liked them! He is very keen to detail. The room service staff was very polite and clean. We had rooms 3032 and 3033 & we really want to appreciate the gentleman who cleaned and tidied our rooms. We didn't find him as we checked out 😔 I didn't get to try out the spa, maybe next time. We took some beautiful photos by the palm trees and huge coral rock in the middle of the pool. One word - scenic!

Some staff kept badgering us about bills which were never forthcoming for our entire 5-day stay. Particularly from the dinners which didn't form part of our BnB. Next time try and generate the bills in real time so that we sign instantly as we go instead of waiting to follow us without the bills in hand - it was 'the bills are over 'there'; you didn't sign them' 🙄 We are here to relax and not do mental work.

Beautiful beach front hotel. Lovely, large and clean rooms. The beds were comfortable. Also a big balcony with lovely views, but because of the monkeys we rarely used it. The staff were proffesional and very friendly and kind😊. Special shout out to Mr. Hamad from the service team. He went out of his way to really take care of us, thank you :) The hotel is good for families, also with small kids. Interesting activities for kids to do each day and the evening entertainment is also OK. What we enjoyed the most was the main pool, us adults and kids :). Lovely chill out area. Nice music but can be too loud, we didn't mind. There is another pool though if one needs quiet and peace, where kids aren't allowed. Food was good. I particularly enjoyed and loved the kaimatis, mahamri and viazi karai at breakfast. Yummy😋 The beach is beautiful but the beach boys can be a nuisance. We really had a good good time here and we do recommend 😇

The hotel is abit rundown. Needs some renovations, for example in the bathrooms The food can get monotonous if your stay is long. Not a wide variety for kids as well.

Great hotel.. lovely staff. Food in the AI was very good with great choices. Perfect location, directly on the beach. Hotel had a colonial feel to it which was fantastic.

Our room overlooked what we believe was the old spa. It has fallen in to disrepair and although cordoned off at ground level, it was a disappointing eye sore from above. Check out… we stayed at hotel for a few hours after the very early 10 am check out. Had to change clothes in the public toilets as no room/area provided for changing. Very poor from an otherwise superb hotel experience.

What an amazing hotel and wonderful staff. No request was too stressful for the staff- they went out of their way to take care of us. The food was amazing- variety of fresh fruit was incredible. The chefs outdid themselves to create mouth watering dishes each day. Hospitality was top notch. They even set up a screen so that we could watch the football.

Minor paint jobs and tidying up needed in some parts of hotel. Perhaps have a tip box in restaurant so that everyone gets a fair share of tips.

Choosing full board was the best decision I made.They cared for my stomach throughout😅.Three course meal was very good and nobody bothered how much I served myself😄 Wifi served me well through out. Swimming was in good condition. Very clean environment from gate entrance all the way to the way to the ocean.

Bedsheets.They were very rough.Kindly change that and use a soft soothing material. The room I was staying 5004 there was a place near the air conditioner that was leaking water. My room Tv had only 3 channels and didn't connect to YouTube nor netflix.

We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff from reception (John and Mahomed). They even changed our room to a bigger one ( at a cost of cause). Everyone was friendly and serving with a smile. They were always helping and going the extra mile. Can't mention everyone but all the catering staff were friendly even the chefs. Christopher the barman attended to all our needs. As we were on all inclusive, we tried all the cocktails and all other beverages that were on offer. Happy from housekeeping very polite with a smile, made sure that our room was clean, and we had enough water to drink. I had a pleasant birthday celebration there, if only I was allowed to bring my own champagne which they didn't have. We didn't spend much time at the pool but it was nice and clean. Bernard the attendant, helpful making sure that we had clean towels and he even moved the loungers for us away from the sun. We had a great time with friendly staff. The evening entertainment was not bad too we took part in dancing with the dancers and we had lots of fun. We will definitely come back.

We had the same fruit every day ( watermelon, pineapple and orange) Maybe have more fruit to choose from. We had a ask for mango which they greatly provided. I would suggest different dishes or maybe themed night at dinner.

Location on beach which is outstanding. Staff where always smiling an and couldn’t do enough for us ! They work very hard but still smile.

Dated showers are not powerful and tbh had luke warm water. We eventually got moved and it was much better. This hotel needs address issue of better showers and good quality beds then It would Earn its 5 star rating we told spa is out of order so this didn’t help as it’s in their title.

The location is just wonderful and the staff pulls out all the stops to make your stay as comfortable as they can. Swimming pool was just wonderful. Meals are really great. Elaborate breakfast It was definately a super pleasant place to stay at.

The only bummer were the beachboys. However that is out of the control of the resort. Those boys just do not let you have a walk by yourself and keep pestering you with their "offers to help" you.
