Where to begin… we loved everything about this place. The design and every little detail in the decor of the house, extra delicious breakfasts freshly prepared by the wonderful hosts, access to the outdoor gym and gym classes, access to Netflix account, calming view from the windows and so on and so forth. I really admire the presence of the small fridge in the apartment, some water, fresh milk and coffee, as well as access to the snacks. Our stay there was extra pleasant thanks to the lovely cat accompanying us in the garden. 100% recommend this place and we would really love to go back some day!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Thistledown Lodge – truly one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. The B&B is beautifully kept, with exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms – the best we experienced during our stay in the country. The location is peaceful, yet conveniently close to lovely beaches and great restaurants. Breakfast was delicious, and the overall atmosphere made us feel right at home. Highly recommended!

I can't recommend Thistledown Lodge enough. Martin & Enda made us feel welcome from the first minute on. The lodge is very stylish. Our room was very clean, well equipped, comfortable & quiet. The cooked vegetarian breakfast was excellent - it's always a plus if there are vegan/vegetarian options apart from muesli&yogurt. The place also has a very spacious outdoor-gym and a cosy sitting-area to enjoy drink or two. :)

THE OWNERS! Enda was simply wonderful, efficient, helpful, and over-the-top kind in helping us. There was not one thing missing or wanting from that establishment. French press in your room! A lover's paradise! Loved the location, near beautiful beaches and cliff walks. Clean as a whistle. Good solid breakfast! We will return, for certain!

NOTHING! 100% perfect!

Martin and Edna were great hosts, we were warmly welcomed and shown around, they also gave good advice on what to do and see in the area. The lodge is set in lovely gardens in a quiet, rural area not far from eating places and historic sites. Our room was well appointed with comfortable furnishings, lots of space and everything we needed for our stay. Breakfasts were delicious with homemade granola, fresh fruit, pastries and a range of other choices for a hot or cold meal. Nick enjoyed an omelette each morning along with generous servings of coffee and tea.

Enad and Martin were so welcoming from the second we arrived. The hospitality level received by them was unreal. We felt so spoiled the whole time. The room and facilities were above 5 stars. The bed and room was so comfortable and the breakfast was amazing! The gym was awesome. It was so lovely to be able to have a workout after all the holiday food and drinks we over indulged with. We've never stayed in a place so homely and beautiful 😍

That we couldn't stay longer!

The room was perfect, comfortable and stylish with a bath tub in the room which was a lovely touch. We received a lovely welcome from both Martin and Enda, and they gave us great places to visit in the local area! Breakfast both mornings were superb and I’d highly recommend staying here for any couple looking for a nice weekend get away!

Beautiful property, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Martin and Enda were super friendly and lovely people, we got to meet Noodles the cat who was lovely too! Breakfast was delicious, super fresh and so much to choose from. This place is a gem and so close to all we wanted to visit.

We loved the property - it was chic and welcoming. Huge style and attention to detail. Fantastic welcome by Enda and Martin. Very comfortable and the chaps cook a great breakfast! Thank you both - our second visit and we will certainly return.

Amazing in every way, really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone. Their attention to detail, the decor, their hospitality went beyond our expectations. The room was immaculate, the garden stunning, the food delicious, the location only a few minutes away from major landmarks. The perfect B&B.
