It was beautifully designed room and the food (dinner and breakfast), once it arrived, was good.

Over-priced room rate for breakfast included. Would’ve been better to book ‘room only’ and pay for breakfast separately. No promised handmade welcome treat - probably because the reception didn’t know about our booking via Booking.com. Some lights in the bedroom and bathroom didn’t work. Room was over a function room was very noisy during pub opening hours. Restaurant service very slow. Eg. Sat down at our table at 7.30pm and had to ask to order even drinks at 7.50. Other tables were fetching their own from the bar.

Ideally placed for visiting Weybridge and the local environs. 20ish rooms scattered about the property, luckily our room was internally situated (behind secured doors) placed above the pub. The pub revellers were not too much of an interference. Quality glassware, coffee machine, shower facility. Honesty box too. Room nicely appointed with 'modernistic' furnishings. Very acceptable establishment, won't hesitate to visit again. We did not eat/use the bar as a full array of choice is located 10-15mins walk away in the town.

A few items in the room need regular dusting - glassware etc - even if the room has not been used for a while. Otherwise everything was fab.......

During a recent motorcycle journey through the southern countryside with my son, we were fortunate to discover the Hand and Spear Hotel (June 19th-21st). From the moment we arrived, we were met with exceptional hospitality and a genuine desire to make our stay memorable. A special mention must be made of Kelvin, the front desk manager, who went above and beyond to rectify a booking error on my part. His professionalism and dedication to guest satisfaction were truly remarkable. The culinary experience at the Hand and Spear was equally impressive. The locally sourced ingredients were transformed into delectable dishes, with the fennel sausages and the full English breakfast being particular highlights. Our room was a haven of comfort, especially during the hottest day of this summer. The air conditioning worked flawlessly, ensuring a restful sleep, and the bedding was fresh and inviting. The hotel's amenities further enhanced our stay. The cozy bar provided the perfect setting for unwinding after a day of riding, and the secure parking offered peace of mind for our motorcycles. The location of the Hand and Spear is ideal. Nestled in a green suburb with easy access to a commuter train station, it strikes the perfect balance between tranquility and convenience, with London being just a short ride away. Overall, our experience at the Hand and Spear exceeded expectations. It's a hidden gem that caters to the needs of travelers seeking a unique blend of comfort, exceptional service, and culinary delights. Whether you're embarking on a motorcycle adventure or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, the Hand and Spear is a destination worth exploring.

Wonderfully quirky and unusual hotel with fab decor and rooms. The best stocked mini bar and food that I have ever seen but saved ourselves for eating in hotel and nearby pub. Evening meal was exceptional and great service for all 4 of us staying over Ascot. Friendly, helpful staff too

The breakfast service was quite slow but lovely when received as well as a little pricey for certain choices but otherwise could not fault the stay and definitely one of the best over the last few years.

Hotel parking was a nice bonus as we travelled from far and didnt want the hassle having not been to venue previously. All staff were just so friendly, helpful and happy to help no matter time. Service and food were brilliant, we would definitely stay over again. You wouldn't know train was so close as you cannot hear, having aircon big plus especially as you don't want to open windows as clearly you would hear train noise. Fabulous venue and people, lovely venue.

Think the room needed more airing, with double glazing to keep room quiet and warm not being opened daily, the room had a slight musty odour on entry. But soon cleared when window was opened.

Fabulous room with superking size bed. Dual aspect windows overlooking the beer garden (not disturbed by noise) Air conditioned room was a great bonus. Excellently stocked honesty hamper and mini bar. Nothing had been overlooked to make a comfortable stay very special. The bar and restaurant menu offered a thorough selection of food. The freshly cooked breakfast in the morning was truly delicious.

Staff were very helpful. A very enjoyable and tasty lunch. Clean facilities and generous equipment and materials in the bedroom.

There were quite a lot of stairs, including 2 or 3 down from bedroom to bathroom with no handrail.....unavoidable in an interesting building like that but something to check on when we return!

Loved the boutique rooms, quality fitments and honesty box, such a good idea. A little pricey for a room only rate but v nice stay. Staff were friendly and really helpful. Nice to have Sky as well and the food was good.

Would have preferred breakfast included in the rate as it was £154 per night which is pricey for quite far out of London on a Thursday night.

Super friendly staff, receptionist was very helpful. Lovely decorated rooms and tasty breakfast! We enjoyed the forest walk into town, only 10 mins down the road to enjoy the park and shops. Nice dark rooms and air conditioned rooms were a bonus in the summer heat!

Couldn’t fault it.
