Beds were comfortable, was nice grounds to walk around and staff were lovely.

For the price I expected a little more luxury. The pictures made it look more luxury than it was, however I still very much enjoyed my stay. The rooms were nice but a bit dusty as if they hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. It also would’ve been nice to have more access to the leasure facilities other than just before a treatment. Even extra time after the treatment to relax would’ve been nice.

The bar within the spa was a lovely touch. Cocktails really good. Friendly and helpful staff.

No fridge in the room and the spa is a seperate building so if raining wasn't ideal.

We liked most things & we’ve stopped at this hotel & the Waterside before.

Unlike the Waterside, there was no heated towel rail in the bath room, to dry the towels & you had to leave the door open to get it warm, afraid to say that some of the breakfasts weren’t to the standard we’ve had in past, ie the food was cold.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Gailes Hotel and Spa, and it was a truly delightful experience from start to finish. As a dog owner, I greatly appreciated their pet-friendly accommodations. Upon arrival, my furry companion Eve, was warmly welcomed with dog bowls and tasty treats waiting in our room, as well as complimentary poo bags, which were a thoughtful touch. The culinary experience at The Gailes was exceptional. The fantastic cooked Scottish breakfast was a highlight, offering a delightful start to our days, while the continental buffet provided a wonderful variety of fresh options to suit all tastes. They even provided my dog with a few sausages of her own. In addition to the welcoming atmosphere and delicious meals, I indulged in a shellac pedicure at their spa, which was utterly fantastic. The spa staff were professional and attentive, ensuring a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Overall, The Gailes Hotel and Spa exceeded my expectations in all aspects. It’s a perfect getaway for those traveling with pets, offering comfort, relaxation, and a warm Scottish welcome. Highly recommended for both humans and their furry friends!

The grounds were lovely and clean and well maintained. The spa was lovely too and the staff were great. My treatment was really good too.

The only thing I would say that needed some attention is the staff in the restaurant. The service was slow when we had afternoon tea and when we went for breakfast we had to wait 25 mins to be served and my breakfast order was wrong twice. I also didn’t get an apology from the waitress and she just put my breakfast down and walked away. I had to get up and go after her to tell her that my breakfast was wrong for a second time. The food was good overall though and the service at our dinner time was good.

The room was nice and comfortable with a large bed and nice facilities. Breakfast was good. Staff helpful and friendly.

The spa centre was disappointing and we were charged £20 each to use it for an hour on our first night, although we were allowed to use the next day. No swimming pool! The large jacuzzi was only warm, not hot. Puddles of water on the floor that didn’t drain away could be a breeding ground for Verucas/athletes foot. The spa centre was very small. Overall for such a stunning hotel to have such a poor quality spa was disappointing. The showers were very good though. They had an offer called the twilight offer at £10 for 2 hours and we weren’t offered this. I felt cheated.

All staff were welcoming and attentive especially to our dog, the dog bed, bowl, biscuits were a lovely touch in our room, the room was spacious and very clean and comfortable.

We enjoyed everything only thing was the wait for our dinner on both nights although dining area not very busy we did have a wait for our food, a member of staff did come to our table to say the food would not be long as we had waited a while, the food was excellent when it did arrive and we would definitely return to this hotel.

Lovely hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is ordered (hot food is not a buffet). Bed was firm and excellent. To get anywhere is a drive, Gailes as a village seems abandoned, but the location is peaceful. There are wading birds nearby which was a treat.

Quite expensive, and the food menu is equally pricey. Very picky but the shower head is fixed so as a woman avoiding washing your hair everyday is a challenge, and also there was no conditioner - but this is definitely nitpicking!

Reasonably nice location. Good dining in restaurant.

£20 charge as a guest to use spa, swimming, gym facilities ? for an overnight stay? Plenty of other hotels are all inclusive wrt facilities.

The hotel decor was lovely. Cleanliness was spot on. Staff friendly. Food nice. Golf modern and spacious. Spa nice.

The spa was relaxing but very small, and no swimming pool. We felt £20 per person was too much to pay for just 1hr access. The towels provided at the spa were poor quality and thin, and robes should have been provided, especially considering we were staying in the hotel. Dinner in the hotel restaurant in the evening was nice, but service was very slow, and staff seemed stressed.
