Lovely room with very high ceiling in old building. Check in is at the adjacent hotel - friendly and helpful staff - we arrived too early to check in but they looked after our luggage and it was already in our room when we came back later - much appreciated. Room was very quiet. Liked the communal lounge area for making a drink. Design of bathroom was odd because toilet was too close to the shower. Breakfast on the rooftop of the Palazzo Grille was really good. A bit tricky to find, but only a few minutes walk from the metro station.

Comfortable small hotel in a great location in the centre of the old town of Genoa. Extraordinary number of options for coffee, ice cream and all types of meals in the immediate locality. Elegant small room with a very comfortable bed. Perfect for strolling and sightseeing. Is linked to a top hotel across the street so it has 24/7 reception and the option of what is probably an excellent breakfast there. Best of all worlds.

The minimalist design of the room seemed to preclude storage space for clothes which was a little awkward.

Lovely breakfast on the roof terrace in the partner hotel next door. The hotel is in a great location in the middle of the old part of town. We had a room overlooking the small square with a lovely church outside - well worth a visit. Bed and room were very comfortable.

It is impossible to park near the hotel as you are in the old part of town and it is quite an uphill walk with luggage from the suggested parking near the harbour. The hallway of the accommodation is very scruffy - but don't let that put you off as it is very nice once you get upstairs.

Nice sized room with high ceilings making it feel really spacious. Large bathroom with a nice rainfall style shower head! Bed was comfy enough. There was a water fountain which did ice cold water and even sparkling water!!! They had biscuits available (free) during the day and a kettle and various teas available 24/7!

The a/c was hard to keep on top of, one minute the rooms really hot the next it’s freezing.

The room are really modern, in an old building, so the ceilings are really high, and decor is slick and stylish. There is a water cooler in the corridor so you can have as much chilled sparkling water as you want. The bed was really comfy, the bathroom great, and the location was super-quiet. It's right in the middle of the old town, and there is a lovely restaurant (not part of the hotel) in the square directly outside. There are loads of cafes for breakfast.

We weren't sure how you would get there by taxi (although we didn't actually try) as it's accessed via some little passages. But it is a few minutes walk from the bus and the Metro so it wasn't a problem. I'm not sure how I would have felt walking down the passages if I was on my own - we saw no evidence of anything but wonderful people, but it feels a bit like Batman should live there - the passages are gloomy and the walls high. Really funky place.

Rooms were a little small but I suppose par for the course in central Genoa. And hadn’t realised you could not get a taxi to the door which could e a problem for those less fit.

Excellent location close to all the main attractions. Plus it is in an old beautiful building which has been renovated well.

Because I booked a room for 3 people and the 3rd person's bed was in the living room area, we did not have a sofa or desk. Also our cab driver dropped us off 100 meters from the hotel when there is a convenient place just behind the hotel.

I thought this was a really lovely property full of character. My room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were helpful. Good location to reach all parts of the old town. Great that it’s in a pedestrian zone with cafes and restaurants nearby

The breakfast seemed a bit on the expensive side if it’s not already included in your package.

The location was very special on a historic square, from my window one looked out on the church of St. Mary of the Vines with its 11th century campanile, gorgeous. Not too noisy but lively with two cafes open quite late. I found my way to so many site and destinations in Genova within a 15 to 20 minute walk of the hotel, which still felt quite away from bustle and crowds, because foot traffic only. Also, nice common area with coffee, tea and cookies in the afternoon. The decor was very special, the building has so much character and has clearly been lovingly restored. Finally, they had some loaner umbrellas which came in handy during very heavy, surprise, downpour.

The hotel was great and the staff very helpful. It can be a bit difficult to find, so suggest mapping out your route, especially at night.

the service is first class as is has the same reception as the nearby 4* hotel, where you can have breakfast on a roof terrace as an extra treat. the hotel is completely new and made with taste in a beautiful old palace 5 minutes walk from the cathedral. we had a very nice room overlooking the square. we would certainly come back!

a safety box in the room would be a good idea!
