The location of the hotel was perfect being so close to the Esplanade and walking distance to many shops and cafes. The staff at reception were wonderful with check-in and check out very easy. They also offered directions to their secure car park at the side of the hotel, with the secure parking one of the primary reasons for my choosing of the hotel. The rooms were lovely with my request for a double bed as opposed to two singles fulfilled. Overall a wonderful stay.
My only fault with the property would be a need for a spot clean within the room to remove a few larger smudges on the walls, otherwise the rooms were beautifully kept and clean.

We found your hotel enchanting, representing an elegance found in the past. I truly appreciated the nice sized desk for my journaling. The tea was nice, but we didn't realize we would be charged for the tea bags. That should be communicated more clearly, because in our other hotel rooms they were free. You are located in the perfect place. We were able to walk to most everything and when not the local transportation was near. Thank you for a memorable experience.
I found the pillows too large and hard. I would recommend you offer both firm and soft pillows in your beautiful establishment. HVAC was inconsistent. During the night we found ourselves pulling up and shedding bedclothes. Of course these are not deciding factors with our repeat visit .

I stayed at Heritage Cairns twice. During my first stay, the AC didn’t work. The maintenance man said it couldn’t be fixed, and offered me a fan. On my return a couple of days later, I was given a different room. Initially worried the AC was malfunctioning again, the front desk staff offered me a refund if I wanted to leave, but thankfully, the AC started working and was fine for the rest of my stay. Despite the AC issues, all the housekeeping staff i interacted with were extremely sweet, and the helpful woman who worked evenings at the front desk made my stay so memorable. She even tipped me off about a parade and amazing fireworks right outside the hotel. I also loved the charming courtyard by the pool, where I watched a family of bush stone-curlews. Though there were some hiccups, the friendly staff and cozy atmosphere made up for it, and I’d definitely stay here again.
The first room had issues. The ac didn’t work and the room wreaked of bleach and other smells. The second room was perfect though.

A small but very well run hotel. Most Cairns’ hotels can provide a clean comfortable room. What makes the ‘Heritage’ is the quality of it’s very helpful, friendly staff. The ‘general factotum’ in particular goes out of his way to provide that little bit extra. He even mended a tyre puncture on my imvilid scooter - without which I couldn’t get about Cairns lovely waterfront. I’m a 91 yr old solo traveller who likes to visit northern Queensland when it’s winter in Perth. The Heritage will be my base in the future. Regards, Stan ( Western Australia ).
Since I have no need of ‘Conference Rooms’ & all the ‘extras of a 5 star, the Heritage provides all that is necessary for a discerning traveller.

A swimming pool and hot tub was nice there. Balcony was nice to use. Air con always a welcome. Fridge useful. Shuttle to and from the airport available, and was cheaper than the taxi we first got. Lots of leaflets of things to do. Very walkable distance to the main Esplanade. Spa bath was nice to use, but not a requirement.
A bit of dated decoration, could do with a refresh. Plug sockets would be better above the bedside table not below.

Located in N Cairns so very pleasant walk along the Esplanade into town. Dinner at pizza place on Esplanade - good, thin crust pizza. Shared big breakfast at Muddy’s not far from hotel. Muddy’s has great location overlooking ocean & can watch runners, dog walkers. Hotel is very reasonably priced, quiet, secure & well located. Comfortable bed. It isn’t a luxury hotel but fulfilled our every need. It has a lift. There is a pool though shaded. We didn’t use it. This is our second stay & we would stay again.
We knew what it was like & quite satisfied. You do need to walk into town ( though there are buses nearby) but it’s a flat & very pleasant walk into town.

Fully equipped kitchen, dining area. Spacious. We got the 2-bedroom which was actually 2 adjoining hotel rooms (you can keep the door in between open). Great location and good enough for us as we spent whole days out and only came back to sleep.
It's a small hotel/apartment kind of place and the rooms feel a bit dated but everything is clean and fine.

The interconnected (spacious) rooms were perfect for a family of 4. I appreciated the plates, bowls and cutlery provided -which made it easy to have meals at the dining table. The beds were very comfortable. The location was quiet when we stayed and the motel is within easy walking distance to the esplanade and Cairns downtown. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I recommend the airport shuttle service.

Great place for a one night stay before we went on a dive trip. The staff were really helpful especially due to our super late arrival and getting to the port early in the morning.
Nothing negative to stay. Exactly what we needed for this short stay. We didn't get to checkout the facilities so can't really comment further. Appreciated the helpful staff.

The hotel & location was perfect! We just needed an overnight stay & it was close to Muddy’s and the Esplanade as well as Woolies! Great that you had a service to drive us out to Eastern Airlines the next morning Just a pity, no one rang us - we’d bought meat & cream to take with us and left it in the fridge!!! Really hope it was not thrown out since we’d only bought it the night before we left in the morning! Hope it was issued by a staff member - bonus to them!!
