Elena and Fabio are exceptional hosts. Their staff are all friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. Our room looked out over the garden and lake, and we used the balcony every evening. We used the hotel bikes and were given help in planning a wine tour and a day out across the lake using the ferry. Sirmione is a beautiful place, I'm so glad we chose hotel Catullo for our visit.

There was nothing we didn't like but hadn't realised we could have stayed at the hotel for dinner. We were there out of season. Some info in the room would be really helpful

The best hotel we stayed at during our 2 Weeks in Italy. Beautiful hotel with exceptional staff who were so helpful and friendly, and the hotel includes the most amazing breakfast you will ever see! There are free activities offered by the hotel also, including a boat trip and wine and cheese tastings. The lakefront location and facilities, including provision of tea/ coffee/milk when requested, made our stay extremely comfortable. We would definitely recommend staying here when in Sirmione / Lake Garda.

Hotel Catullo is truly a gem in Sirmione. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and professionalism. The hotel offers convenient transfers to and from the parking area outside Sirmione, making arrival and departure easy and stress-free. What truly sets Hotel Catullo apart is the extraordinary service provided by the brother and sister who run the hotel. Their hospitality is second to none, welcoming, attentive, and always with a smile. The entire restaurant staff match their dedication, offering impeccable service that makes every meal feel special. Speaking of meals, the breakfast deserves a special mention, it is genuinely the best I’ve ever experienced in any hotel. An incredible variety of high quality options. You can enjoy it in their lovely patio area, perfect for drinks or snacks during the day. The rooms are extremely comfortable and thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities you could need. Clean, quiet, and ideal for a night’s sleep after exploring the town or enjoying the lake. As an added bonus, on select days the hotel offers free boat trips on Lake Garda and wine tastings, a wonderful touch that showcases the region and adds so much to the stay. Overall, Hotel Catullo is a place full of charm, character, and exceptional service. Highly recommended. Looking forward to return.

It was in the heart of beautiful Sirmione making it quick and easy to get to the shops, restaurants, spa, beach or gardens. The service was the best part. All the staff was exceptional. They made us feel welcome from initial contact and helped us coordinate our arrival and departure from the nearest train station. The breakfast was the best breakfast I’ve seen at a hotel. The spread of food was huge and most importantly it was delicious! They had savory and sweet options. They had juice, milk, and made cafe to order. They had an absolutely gorgeous outdoor garden space. It also had a wonderful private outdoor seating area right on the lake. This made it a perfect place to enjoy the sunset over the Dolomites mountains. We would stay here again in this inviting, friendly hotel again for sure. We stayed here as a couple on our anniversary but it would be great for families or individuals as well.

Amazing location in Sirmione old town, close to everything but still when you enter, you can escape from all the chaos. The room was wide and clean with daily roomkeeping. The bed was comfortable. The quality of the restaurant/bar is superb, you can find almost everything in much better quality compared to other restaurants. The breakfast was also great with high number of options. But what I enjoyed most and why I would definately come back was the service. The service was excellent with smiles, a welcoming, helpful attitude and joyful moments. I would definately recommend.

Gorgeous location, right on the lake (by which you can have breakfast, or evening n drinks, if you wish), and incredibly convenient for all you'll need in Sirmione - the local thermal spa, charming and small grocery with local meats and cheese, shops, beach, Roman ruins, boat trips, and more. Bikes are available to borrow when you want to go further afield. The hotel and the owners themselves have great character and charm. Not stuffy or overly formal.Charming and very helpful owners. All the staff were really lovely. A fantastic, sumptuous breakfast spread with amazing choice - for every taste. Lovely, elegant, and spotless rooms with that essential AC (for the warm nights). They kindly upgraded our room to one with a better view (i.e. lake) at very late notice when one became available. A perfect place to go for a calming, peaceful, and rejuvenating holiday. I recommend you ask Fabio for a delicious vermouth with ice in the evening, and enjoy on the lakeshore with the setting sun, or moonlight.

The fact I had to leave!

Hotel Catullo is simply perfect - in the literal sense: everything has the exact right measure, with no unnecessary excess, everything is done with care and a great sense of style. The wonderful garden with access to the lake where to rest, sip a drink and relax. The care put in all details, from the Catullus quotes to the comfortable lounge, to the choice of local, delicious wines. Not to mention the splendid dinner on the lake at sunset and the room showing dedicated attention in all details (we particularly appreciated the AC, not too strong, just right to cope with the exceptional heat). The same care all the staff puts in the relation with guests, habitual ones and those like us who happened to be there by chance for only a few days. But we will come back.

Nothing - it was sheer perfection

although the rooms were fairly basic they were spotless. the owners couldn’t do enough for us, Fabio even took us in his own car when we couldn’t get a taxi to our parking lot outside of the town. the restaurant served the best meal we had on our vacation! staff were super friendly and the hotel had little extras like cocktail evenings, sunset boat trips wine tastings all free for hotel guests. cocktail bar is really funky. it was also in the centre of town so walking distance to everything the town had to offer. I will definitely be back!!

We thoroughly loved our stay at Hotel Catullo. We couldn’t believe our magnificent room. It was a corner room, top floor, overlooking the lake. It is a family run hotel, the service was outstanding and the breakfast was even better. We sat out on the deck overlooking the lake every morning. The hotel also provided a free lake garden boat ride one evening and was followed by a wine and cheese tasting. To top it off the location was fabulous.

Fabio and Elena are excellent (as were all the staff)-very low key but always available, super helpful. Hotel breakfast had excellent selection, even gluten free and vegans well catered for. Some free activities were provided which is a very nice touch. Ferry stop is less than 5 mins away. Overall a clean, quiet (despite being so central) hotel with a pretty garden. They clearly take a pride in ensuring guest needs are met, even providing umbrellas for changes in weather. Added bonus points for resident dog Phoebe who is super calm, well behaved and discrete and can be spotted snoozing in various spots in the lobby throughout the day. A cute, well run hotel-would recommend-the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of Sirmione.
