We stayed in the SOFA room, which is very spacious with high ceilings and a mezzanine level. Overall, our experience was very positive, but there are a few things that could significantly enhance the stay:

The room has large floor-to-ceiling windows, which create a nice atmosphere, but even with the blinds closed, it felt like there was little privacy. We could see and hear maintenance staff working just outside the room. Proper curtains would help address this issue. Given that the room is on the ground floor and has such large windows, it would be very natural and welcome to have direct outdoor access — especially to enjoy breakfast outside. The shower in the bathroom could use an upgrade. It did not meet the standard or price level of the hotel. The handle of the sink faucet was broken. The safe in the room was locked upon arrival and could not be opened, even with the help of the front desk staff.

The building was amazing and some of the interior design was interesting.

For a wedding this would be fabulous but for staying overnight I was not as excited as I had anticipated. It had a shabby chic feel that could be great if more attention was made to the details. The shower kept getting stuck on red hot and the floor sill into the shower oozed black grunge! The bottle water left in the fridge was only sparkling no still. I was told I could have a GF breakfast option but the £50+ breakfast basket had no GF bread or pastries etc. The gardens required attention all the topiary was overgrown and looked tatty for such formal designs. Somewhat disappointing when it could be amazing.

The place is amazing. The location is great and the castle is beautiful! We stayed in a suite “La raine” that was amazingly beautiful.

The cleanliness was very poor. There was dust in visible places, the dishes in the dishwasher were not clean and there were no extra dishwasher tablets to clean (we physically went to the supermarket to buy them because the place didn't have any dishwasher tablets to provide us, it was a bummer.) There weren't enough dishes to cook with. We had to improvise with the dishes we had. The pool wasn't clean, we couldn't swim in it.

Amazing location, perfect spot close to Maastricht. Beautiful garden with pool, very friendly staff and the breakfast basket is superb!!! Also very nice to have some drinks and snacks included. Loved it, recommended it and will go back.

The room had an amazing bath in the room, which was great. Unfortunately no shower. Also it’s a wedding location so parties are expected but music was quite loud, but only until 22.00 so that was good.

Super friendly staff, nice little extras, beautiful grounds, nice room.

Said one of us is vegan and they noted it down for breakfast, but the beautiful breakfast basket, while very generous and - according to my partner- yummy food, was not at all suitable for a vegan and I was able to have a roll with hummus (no veg), while my partner was doing his best to not let any of the sausage, cheeses, yoghurts and sweet pastries go to waste.

Great historic chateaux right on the Rhein river. Our room (the Rhein Suite) was in a tower on the second floor, with a balcony overlooking the river (about 30 meters away). Sofa restaurant was adjacent to the building and had excellent food. The breakfast was brought to the room in a basket and was exceptional. The suite was very spacious, with a large bedroom, large sitting room with a kitchen island with pans and stove, and a massive bathroom.

Lovely spot, easy to find, really nice picnic breakfast in basket.

It was self check in, our key was not in the box it should have been in, however a kind waiter from the restaurant next door rang a member of staff and found a key for us. We were told our room was an upgrade, but last time we stayed here we had a wonderful free standing bath in the room. Just a shower this time.

Very nice hotel. We were traveling with the dog and it is very comfortable as there are a lot of places where you can go for a walk with the dog. Friendly staff. The bathtub in the middle of the room was a bit odd, but it was working. Restaurant just next door, expensive, but good food. It is not open every day. Very good location, easy drive to the city.

Beautiful accommodation, both the premise and the rooms were very comfortable and nice. We stayed at the La Roi suite which was very spacious and luxurious. The staff was also very accomodating to our needs e.g regarding baby facilities, but also giving many complimentary items e.g the minibar and a very luxurious breakfast basket.

Nothing, it was all great.

Beautiful heritage property in semi-rural location. Luxe accomodation with complimentary mini bar - wine, beer, tea coffee. Royal suite room is huge and glamorous - beautiful views from many windows and a balcony - money well spent. Tower room upstairs was more basic.

No shops or attractions nearby other than cycling or looking at sheep but it would be a lovely romantic getaway for a night. 25-20 minute drive into Maastricht central - you need a car! Steep stairs to all rooms including Royal suite and apartment. If you have lots of luggage or mobility issues you would need to specify ground floor suite.
