I spent a week in this hotel and used it as a base for historical exploration of Bologna + taking trips to other historical cities in the region. The hotel is just 10min walk to main train station which is good if you want to travel around. The room was very simple, quite small, a bit old-fashioned but enough for sleepovers. Dail room service and clean bathroom. Wifi running ok. Hot water usually but I did not need it in the hot July weather. A/C running fine. Breakfasts were nice, especially the various cakes felt like home-made and varied over time + you get the real espresso for breakfast! I got what I expected and I was happy to be here.

My room was on the top (4th) floor right next to the elevator. When active, I could hear the humming and some annoying clicking noises. Fortunately, the elevator was not used too much during the nights. The hotel was otherwise very silent!

Basic, filling after all. You would expect something a little bit fancier for a 4-star hotel.

The air conditioner didn't work properly, also one of the front staff who was a bit uncaring to my concerns and didn't give clear instructions. I had a problem with the card that opens the door to my room and he simply refused to explain how it works. He just verified if it's working and that was it. Well, it didn't work for me. But his attitude was bothering me, too superior like he was doing me a favour when in reality it's their job to help guests.

The location is excellent, with plenty of great places to eat nearby, along with some nice bars to enjoy. We stayed in the family room, which was very spacious—slightly tired in places, but still very comfortable and pleasant. A real bonus was the door that allowed us to separate the children's sleeping area at night. Breakfast was very enjoyable, with a good variety of options to choose from.

There is currently a lot of construction work going on with the tram system right outside the hotel, which made it quite noisy during working hours. That said, it didn’t take away from what was otherwise an enjoyable stay, and I’m sure the disruption is only temporary.

Zanhotel Tre Vecchi was a Great Hotel. It was in a perfect location, you can walk to it from the Bologna train station and the main sights where down the same street the hotel was on just 5 blocks away. Breakfast was good, clean and fresh every day, the dining room is a little small but always in order and clean and the best part... the freshly made cappuccinos are endless. The photos on the website do not match the real rooms. The Rooms are Updated and Baths are Updated. The room was new, everything was new and the bathroom and full size shower was new and really nice. Mattresses were comfortable and the AC worked wonderfully.

Zanhotel Tre Vecchi, the staircase from the lobby to the 1st floor looked really used, it needs to be redone. The lobby was nice but a little boring, it didn't give you that welcoming, come sit here and enjoy a cocktail and converse or people watch.

Hotel is centrally located 15 minutes walk from both the railway station and the Piazza Maggiore. Although on a busy street our room was at the rear and very quiet. The room was spacious and comfortable although too warm- however it was quiet enough to leave the window fully open at night. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. There were several nice bars and restaurants very close by.

The decor is a little old fashioned and tired.

The location was fantastic, very central and access to pretty much anywhere you would like to be or need to be. The staff was friendly, helpful and just overall great. The breakfast was amazing, more than sufficient, and if you have a sweet tooth you are in for a treat. The room was tidy and enough for what I needed (except the view). I would stay here again.

The single room itself was sufficient enough but I didn't like the fact that the window of the room opened up to an inner courtyard with full view of rooms on the opposite. Because of this I had to keep the translucent curtain drawn during the day to have some privacy, which made the room darker. This with the size of the room made it feel a bit boxed in. The hairdryers can definitely be upgraded. Holding in the button while trying to dry longer hair is quite tricky and uncomfortable

Breakfast was excellent, it was so nice to sit on a couch and chairs outside after breakfast with my daughter and a friend. Location was very good. The bathroom and a shower were very nice and clean. Huge mirrors in the room was a big plus for us the girls to get ready for a concert which was the reason for our visit to Bologna. The air conditioning worked very good in the room.

Me and my mum really enjoyed our stay here. The pretty, historical building of Zanhotel is very well located on a nice street with many shops, opposite the theater and just a short walk from the centre and from the train and bus station. The room had a nice furnishings and we liked so much the continental breakfast which includes very tasty cakes and pastries. There is an elevator too. And I must say, I liked very much the smell of our shower shampoo :-D (oud and amber, I think). So, overall, I really recommend the Zanhotel and would like to stay there again during my trip to Bologna.

The carpet was not clean (it should be replaced or cleaned). I couldn´t insert my USB key into the TV because of the TV has a solid wooden frame that looks nice , but it is not possible to move with it and to find USB port.

Location is very near the center. I visited center by walk. And when I returned the hotel, there were local market i.e. street market in the nearby. I enjoyed to spend time there. Room was very clean and they thought everything at the room i.e. towel, shampoo, conditioner etc. And also there are water and sparkling water in the fridge. Bed was comfortable. And thanks to staff, I was having terrible day, but they were helpful while checking in. Breakfast was very nice. There were a lot of options i.e. vegetables, muffins, cheese, tart etc. It will take to much time to write down all options. Briefly, they provided very nice breakfast, don't miss it. They also store the luggage for you after check out.

The room was quite quirky and rhe bed was huge and extremely comfortable. We were on the front of the hotel and the triple glazing didn't let a sound into the room. The room could have done with a bit of touching up here and there. The lady who checked us out was very happy, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very nice 👌 The location was brilliant, close to everything.

The gentleman who checked us in was quite abrupt and never once cracked a smile. He did his job of course and was very thorough, but one small smile would have been nice to make us feel more welcome.
