My wife and I travel to Lexington occasionally for medical appointments. We usually stay right in the area so when I was looking to book a room Avid hotels popped up and I saw the rating and the price was better than the places we usually stay . Quite a bit cheaper actually. So I decided to give it a try . Couldn’t have been more pleased . Really liked the location. Check in was lightning fast . Staff was great . I made it down to breakfast two mornings and found the selection was good . The coffee bar was great and accessible all the time . Thanks for a great stay we will be back

Nothing I didn’t like

right off the interstate and close to anything you would need for a stay(gas, restaurants, shopping). Room was adequate for our stay.

breakfast is a grab and go and was fine if you're not looking for a "sit down" meal. What was frustrating is there was no bread products(toast, bagels,etc) and both coffee makers were being cleaned at breakfast time our last day so couldn't get a cup to go(8am). We also had someone above us that sounded like they walked around in cowboy boots even though the rooms are relatively small.

Brand new place with all the amenities and stuff you need for your home away from home. Breakfasts was good and place was very clean.

Our only issue we had was the TV coming on every six minutes. We turned off and six minutes later it turned on again on its own. We spent over an hour trying to find the solution, we even went to the front desk and they offered us to change rooms but we had a long ride and already in bed so we decided to just unplug it. We plugged it back up the next morning. Other than that it was pretty much great.

The front staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was updated and clean. The bed linen was exceptionally soft and comfortable. The blackout shades were outstanding. The room was surprisingly quiet given its location relative to the door and elevator. The TV was a generous size and we had access to all the USB plugs we needed. The breakfast had plenty of continental choices as well as hot sandwiches, which we appreciated.

The window in our ground floor room were very dirty on the outside. Most people probably do not open the shades, but it would have added to our impression of the inside of the room if the windows had not been neglected. $50 dog charges are a bit excessive these days. We have many options that only charge $25.

The hot breakfast choices weren't that great but there was a good variety of other choices. Loved the fresh ground fresh brewed on demand coffee option and the water/sparkling water option to refill water bottles! I received a phone call from Quincy before we even arrived asking if there was anything he could do before our arrival to make our stay more comfortable. That was incredible service and nothing I have ever experienced previously.

There was no one at the desk to check us in when we arrived. We waited about 10 mins before we saw a staff member. There wasn't a bell or anything to let anyone know we were there.

How clean it was and not very busy.the price was reasonable. Very sound proof. I had my 2 year old in our room and my 8 month old neice in the room next to us. Did not hear her cry once. Loved that they had Dove liquid soaps and lotions.

Although the hotel had a more moderate feel, I wish it had more tables and plugs in the room. And hooks in the bathroom. Also wish it had a bathtub, because i have a 2 year old. There was one point the outside traffic was a bit loud. Breakfast wasn't the best options but good enough.

Great proximity to downtown and very clean. Friendly staff 12/30-1/1!

My husband called to confirm if we could bring our dog and give a heads up. He was given wrong information by a gentleman on 12/28 that the pet deposit is per night when I already knew the website stated per stay when I booked. He called back after I told him this and the man was very rude and said he “already told” my husband it’s “$50 per night” and argued w him. Eventually he looked it up and realized he was wrong. Then asked my husband if he had any other questions in the back of his head. Shame because everyone else at this hotel was sweet as can be and so helpful.

Everything!!! The building inside and the outside was very maintained, and very clean. Nice roomy bathrooms, comfy bed. Loved it, the best hotel I've ever stayed at!!!!! I even told the cleaning people they did a good job. Left them a tip in the room, I would of give them more, but it was the cash on me. I was a very happy customer. I will definitely stay here again.

That it was the only one in Kentucky. I was going to make another reservation in another city, but there isn't another Avid in Kentucky. Hope they build more.

This is second time we have stopped at this hotel in the past few months while making a long drive between northern Ohio and Atlanta. Great location about half way in our journey . Staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, without a lot of frills but the necessary things are there and the bed is comfortable. There’s a small refrigerator too. It’s quiet and the surrounding area is all commercial. Lots of restaurant choices and shopping. There’s a Costco on the other side of the highway. Breakfast is simple but adequate to get you started the next day We’ll definitely visit again.

Clean and ample! Shower was great!

No frig and no microwave. Since it was cool outside, we left our stored food in the car. But NO MICROWAVE in the room was a disaster. We did go down to the lobby to use the microwave there -- BUT THERE WAS ONLY ONE MICROWAVE FOR THE ENTIRE HOTEL!!!!!!! We had to stand in line with 8 other people, all equally grumpy as we. If you don't want to put a microwave in every one room -- HOW ABOUT AT LEAST 4 MICROWAVES IN THE LOBBY??!!! Had ample microwave usage in the lobby been available, I would give this hotel a "10".
