Our hosts Ally and Mike were very friendly and welcoming. They graciously allowed us to check in early and allowed us to leave our bags after checkout time so we could walk around town. Our room was very nice - large with lots of natural light. The breakfast room is beautiful. It is a large, open room with vaulted ceilings and filled with natural light - simply lovely. We had a wonderful breakfast - starting off with yoghurt, cereals, juice, fresh fruit with excellent coffee, followed by an option for a full cooked breakfast - all delicious! Highly recommend and would happily stay again!

Mike and Ally are extraordinary hosts. From the very first day they provided us a helpful guide containing a list of recommended restaurants and activities. Breakfast is one of the key point of this structure: not only for the quality of the food but also for the atmosphere. Having all the guests in the same room and at the same table offers the opportunity to connect with people and create friendly relationships. The House is located in a quiet residential area but it is 15/20 minutes on foot from the city center, bus and train station, a good compromise!

Mike and Ally go above and beyond the requirements of B&B hosts and are wonderfully welcoming and friendly. They have produced a colourful folder of recommendations and info on places, restaurants and pubs to visit and they keep this updated. They are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Penzance and give advice on how to get from A to B. They are also on hand to offer any further info or help you might need. The breakfasts are wonderful, everything you can think of is laid on. They also have a charming dog Elvis and fluffy cat Molly, who are as approachable as their owners. We'd definitely stay here again.

Mike, Ally, and Elvis were spectacular hosts. They were friendly, funny, and very helpful with directions and suggestions. We took their advice on a number of restaurants and activities and were never disappointed. The room was comfortable and well-appointed. Each day, our room was made up and replenished with filtered water and in-room coffee. Breakfast was incredible. The house omelet lives up to all the hype Mike gives up, but you should try the Full English breakfast as well. We recommend Hoblein House wholeheartedly.
Loved it all. It was perfect.

We recently stayed here for a night and had a truly wonderful experience. The BnB itself is spotlessly clean, cosy, and beautifully maintained. Everything felt welcoming and comfortable from the moment we arrived. What made the stay even more special was the host, Mike. He was incredibly nice and welcoming. We had requested a late check-in as we were attending a musical show at the Minack Theatre, and Mike not only accommodated our request, but also kindly offered us cushions for more comfortable seating during the show, as well as raincoats just in case it rained. Such a thoughtful gesture that really stood out. The room was excellent, and we especially appreciated the great shower. Strong water pressure and an exceptionally clean shower cubicle made it feel luxurious. To top it off, the breakfast prepared by Mike the next morning was simply delicious. You can really tell he puts care and effort into making his guests feel at home. Although our stay was short, it was incredibly memorable. We would gladly return and highly recommend this BnB to anyone visiting the area.

Beautiful property, really friendly and helpful owner. The room was beautifully clean and the bedding and towels clean and crisp. Great on suite amenities the shower was hot and powerful. The towels large and fluffy, as a side note they smelt lovely as well. The beds were comfortable and the room was warm but not stuffy. The whole house is beautiful. Room beautifully decorated while being cosy and welcoming. Unfortunately we didn’t get to experience the breakfast but if the dining room was anything to go by we wouldn’t have been disappointed. Just sorry we had to leave so early.
Nothing really, on street parking might have been harder if we’d arrived late but we found a spot without any problems.

Excellent cooked breakfast for those who enjoy them, with a very ready willingness to adjust according to one’s preferences. Delightful owner/managers. Very clean.
We just happened to have a small room which in practice was somewhat cramped, as was the ensuite. The other rooms we were able at times to glance into were far more spacious. I suspect we had booked the last available room. Other than the slightly limiting room size, we could not have been more delighted with our stay at Holbein House. We are recommending it to friends who are contemplating a trip to Cornwall.

Holbein House is a fantastic B&B. Our hosts, Ally and Mike, made us feel very welcome and relaxed. Our room was very comfortable, very clean, and beautifully decorated. The house is in a great location, not far from the town centre and the promenade. A very generous breakfast is provided with plenty of choice. Great coffee! And an added bonus, we were able to meet Elvis the dog and Molly the cat! I highly recommend Holbein House to anyone visiting the Penzance area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Holbein House – A Perfect Stay! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home at Holbein House. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the warm welcome from Mike and Ally made our stay even more special. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always happy to chat and offer recommendations. The real stars of the stay, though, were Elvis the dog and Molly the cat—absolute delights who made our visit even more memorable! Breakfast was simply amazing, with fresh, delicious options that set us up perfectly for the day. A wonderful place to stay—highly recommended! We’ll definitely be back.

We had the most wonderful stay! The location is a short walk from the sea, station and nearby towns. The accommodation itself was immaculate and very welcoming. We were even offered an upgrade of room! The room was spacious, had everything we need. Beds are super comfortable too. Ally and Mike were such lovely hosts and extremely accommodating; it felt like a home from home. The breakfast options are vast, even made to order. The best omelette we’ve ever had! Couldn’t go without a mention of Elvis, the resident Golden Retriever - the happiest and friendliest dog which was a bonus.
Nothing!
