Loved the location and the premises. The penthouse with its balcony made it especially wonderful. The staff was more than terrific. Love having a place with room to stretch out and relax. Also liked the history of the building and the decor featuring images of travel posters from the past.

Two complaints:very frustrating that the tv blocked a substantial part of the view. Hope you can move it to the corner. And also annoying that one can't open the fridge door when the door to the room is open. A design fault that can't be easily remedied. But frustrating when spending a number of days..

Its proximity to the town centre as it is located right in the centre of the city with access to shops and restaurants. Also the staff were very very warm and receptive and willing to help. The rooms were very clean

There were no spectacular views for us because our room was close to other buildings so we didn’t have any views other than nearby buildings. Also, there were a lot of noises from nearby restaurants disposing their glass wastes which were distracting as this happened quite frequently and at just anytime of the day and night. The entrance isn’t so great as it looked rather outdated, rusty which gave it a not so clean look but inside was quite a contrast! It would have been good for them to check on us particularly as we were there for a week to have at least offered to change our towels and empty our bins.

The accommodation is very stylish with a considerable amount of thought put into the details - such as the door handles. We were at the back so it was very quiet, in spite of being located in the centre of the city and next to a train station. All communication with reception was very friendly and helpful - clearly the staff care about their jobs and the accommodation and a small maintenance issue was dealt with immediately. It was very convenient to have a reception and somewhere to leave luggage - definitely a bonus. The bathroom was large and well-appointed and the shower was fabulous. We slept really well and there was lots of storage in the bedroom.

- Far too many emails and texts from the parent company. - The curtains behind the television are short, but the net curtain is long!

I really enjoyed my stay at Native Glasgow and felt welcomed by the staff. The location is perfect: close to shops and great pubs and restaurants, very close to Glasgow Queen Street. You would expect the flat to be noisy but not at all, thanks to the insulated windows. I slept really well. The apartment was squeaky clean, the bed comfortable and the kitchen fully equipped. I didn’t need it but there is a washing-machine. I will definitely come back.

There was no desk in the room, I will choose a different one next time.

The location is amazing, especially if you plan to use public transport to get around Glasgow. The airport bus has stops 2 mins walk. And buses to outer areas all leave close by, also train. Great restaurants all around and GOMA too. The staff tried their best to be helpful and were friendly. We booked a premium studio and it was roomy and had comfortable bed, couch and small kitchen. Plenty of space for luggage.

The automated messages - we received 10 automated messages plus 3 WhatsApp messages. Excessive and confusing. One message told us we had to fill in a form with passport details which was unexpected and apparently unnecessary. Time wasting and stressful while traveling internationally. Another automated message told us check out was 10pm which was obviously false and caused many guests confusion. Also they don't clean the rooms every day, so mould is building up in the bathroom. You can't keep a big commercial apartment really clean if you only clean once the guest leaves after several days. Regardless I still rate it 10 because it was a great overall place to stay. But they need to sort their comms out, for sure.

stunning room, well designed, stylish, large shower room, great kitchen with dishwasher, micro oven, well equipped with everything you could need to cook basic meals, good fridge, loved milk supplied with tea bags for arrival. Fantastic central location - The Italian opposite offers breakfasts. Easy walking distance to many places for great food. Tesco a few mins away for stocking up breakfast items or M&S at Queen Street station 2 mins walk away. 2 Great cafes by Queen Street Station can highly recommend.

No heated towel rail in bathroom and no bathroom vent so towels stayed damp More towel hooks or rails needed to hang towels - one per person for each towel so 4 in total bathrooms need a small table/stool or storage facility for wash bags/ make up kit by mirror as little space around sink for this, its not nice to put these things above the toilet area and in the bedroom there is no mirror to dry hair in front of. few more coat hangers in wardrobes for 2 people would be helpful

The hotel is ideally located for accessing central Glasgow facilities such as restaurants, museums, galleries, walking tours, exhibitions and shops. The Glasgow Queen Street station is a few walking strides to reach which makes it easy when pulling suitcases or carrying rucksacks to the Native from the station. No taxi needed. It is also convenient being so close to the station from the hotel to achieve day trips out by train. For example we went to Falkirk to see the Kelpies sculptures using the train, bus and walking. Likewise, the subway underground train situated in Buchanan Street is within walking distance from the Native. Again, this widens choices about travel to other nearby Scottish areas. We dined in Partick one evening. Making the most of easy use of public transport is a bonus for guests. The buses are near the hotel in terms of stops and access. We took a bus to the Burrel Collection in Pollock Park. So easy, being 3 miles away from the hotel. Getting around Glasgow is just as important as staying in a hotel that offers guidance about local transport. The Native is in the best site for this.

The noise at night of screaming, shouting people into the early hours. It was the weekend when we stayed and we were aware that Glaswegians and tourists like to party at night. It does disturb sleep patterns but on the whole it is part of life having to tolerate this.

This is an amazing option for longer stays in Glasgow. It is central and literally minutes away from the train station, subway, and bus stations to easily explore other parts of the city, and Scotland! The studio style made it feel like a little home away from home. Staff incredibly kind and accommodating.

It was a bit on the noisier side some nights outside since there are several restaurants around it and right by George Square. I was there during the Winter Fest so could hear the music until it closed circa 10-11 pm, but a white noise machine helped with that. Just a wee tip to fellow light sleepers traveling during the holidays there, otherwise amazing!

I spoke on the phone to 2 knowledgeable and helpful guys, Gorgios(? night time) and Ian( day time). They helped sort out my booking. The information had been passed on to the lady at reception so she knew the story and was so pleasant and chatty. The night reception guy on Sunday night was so helpful too. We wanted a coffee/tea when we came back from a wedding but had no milk. I called the mobile number we'd been given. He was going to bring it up to us but my hubby went down and he was waiting at the lift door when it opened with the wee bottle of milk. There were teabags and sugar and a small pa k of proper, good quality, ground coffee and a cafetiere. I hate instant coffee so that was a lovely bonus for me. What a brilliant find! This is a great studio apartment. It has everything you'd need during your stay. In the kitchen, there are plenty utensils and dishes, so you could cook a full meal if you wanted to. Everything is spotless! The bed is a super king I think. It was very comfortable and the pillows were just how I like them. The furniture and soft furnishings are the best of quality. The bathroom is a great size, no window, but the lighting is bright. The shower is BIG and so easy to use and access. The towels were very plush and a great size.

1. There are steps from the street up to the lift, but it's an old building so not much you can do about that. 2. On arrival we were told the air-conditioning wasn't working , but if we needed a fan or a heater just to call down to reception. It was a bank holiday so not exactly an emergency. We just opened the window a wee bit. 3. The pigeons were loud! However, you have no control of that. 4. A pair of scissors would be a great addition to this superb studio 5. The layout was great, except heading past the wardrobe going to and from the bathroom. It is very tight.

The location was amazing for exploring. And the apartment was spotless, very relaxing space with all the amenities required.

Our apartment was at the back of the hotel and late into the night and from early in the morning there were bins being emptied I assume with glass bottles etc so it was very noisy and was woken up a few times with noise even when the windows got closed. Also the room was exceptionally hot despite no heating and the window being open before they had to be closed again. The bed we didn't find overly comfortable but that's a personal preference.
