Large airy room with parking available
Every floor board in the room and bathroom squeaked which you expect in an old property but I was concerned about disturbing other people when moving around the room later at night. The young man who checked me in was great and very friendly. I spoke to a lady when I wanted to check out early, nothing to do with my stay at the bar we just decided to go home earlier than planned, and I wasn’t treated with the same friendly ness, she just took my key and walked away. Not a great vibe for encouraging return business, my daughter attends Uni locally so I have plenty of opportunity to stay there again but will think differently next time.

Ideal location for us for visiting family, clean and plenty of towels, again decor fits in well with the character of the building, it’s above the bar but never heard anything from inside just the pub across the road which again not property’s fault but we did have to close the windows because if this which made the room hotter..
Not the property fault as we stayed during a very hot weekend but room was extremely uncomfortably hot, we did have a fan but only helped if sat next to it.. nice large room as only one available was the triple room which was ok for us as a couple..

Great location right in the centre of town. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bar stocks an extensive range of bar snacks, lagers, ales, ciders, wines and spirits, championing local producers which is excellent to see small businesses being supported. The building is very sympathetically decorated in keeping with the period it was built, which is fabulous as it has significant local community historical ties. The rooms are large, immaculately clean, great facilities for tea and coffee with a complimentary breakfast basket which is a thoughtful touch. The bed is large and very comfortable and the added extras in the room blanket, fan, make for a very pleasant stay.
Be mindful there is no lift in the building so access to the rooms (on first and second floor) is by stairs only. If you are booking this hotel and have mobility issus request a first floor room as stairs to second floor are narrow.

Late arrival about 8.30pm after reporting this when booking. Phoned the hotel for directions to car park. Good directions. A bit of a squeeze entering and exiting car park but we managed okay. Manager most welcoming and suggested local points of interest to visit. Easy access to room. Old building so aware of potential small trip hazards. Bedroom and EnSite clean and fresh. Decor very tasteful and bed very comfortable. "Goody basket" appreciated. Quiet location. Would stay again. Great for our requirement of a convenient overnight stop.
More info on website of location of car park would have been useful. Not a major issue.

Fabulous location for visiting family, value for money.. no cooked breakfast but there is a lovely bar across the road and breakfasts are amazing, also good selection of hot drinks that you can make in the room, plus porridge, cereal bars and biscuits.. ideal if leaving room early.. decor is within keeping of the building, very warm and cosy room 😊
Bed was really lumpy and not comfortable but we still managed a nights sleep after being out all day walking, also it wasn’t an issue as we weren’t really in the room all day but the TV we just couldn’t get it to work, asking to connect to android which we don’t have.. just a heads up for anyone who likes to watch TV in the room if a night.

Ideal location for visiting family that live in the area, lovely furnishings that compliment the building, nice large room, comfortable bed, nice breakfast items, cereal bar, porridge and plenty of hot drinks to choose from. Plenty of hot water, room was over the beer garden but never heard any noise from there or the bar. Also able to sign in to your own Netflix account if want to watch TV.
Nothing not to like, there are a few staircases to reach the upper floor where our room was, wasn’t a problem for us but someone with walking issues may find them challenging.

Room was nice and warm and also very clean. Quite old fashioned but in a nice way. Gorgeous rug which was very clean. Bedding smelt lovely was super soft and it was the most comfortable bed I have slept in in a long long time!! Staff friendly and great selection of drinks at the bar. Bath in the bathroom with over bath showe which is always a bonus as I love a soak in the bath. Nice fresh fluffy towels. Bin and bed made daily. Fresh bedding every other night. Good choice of tv channels. Everything fully working. Car park available round the back. Water, porridge and a cereal bar provided daily.
Shame there is no breakfast - cafe down the road had a 45 minute wait for a table. Car park very tight and pitch black at night so quite hard to park. Old fashioned but was so nice for a change to modern everything. Tv quite small for the large room. Can be a little noisy up until midnight if there’s an event on.

Friendly staff and they offered to help with our bags, large room on the top floor, we didn't hear the band that was playing that evening. Fan provided as it was warm. Quaint original features.
The shower over the bath was small. Lots of stairs. Car park was not obvious, so we parked on the high street, directions by email prior to arrival would have been helpful. I had emailed to check what was in the breakfast box as we have allergies but had no reply, although therewas somethingwe could eat.

Spacious rooms and the beds are so comfortable! The rooms were warm and comfortable especially as it’s winter and so cold outside! The staff are so friendly and it’s a very relaxed atmosphere.
We like that it’s in a central location in market Weighton and not far to York. The property itself has been furnished well with lots of original features . There is always a warm atmosphere and the bar area is always nice. When we walked in it had been decorated very tastefully for Christmas and the first thing I noticed was the beautiful Christmas tree.

Lovely buildings with decor in keeping with the style.. nice bar but as we was visiting family we only had 1 or 2 drinks in there, lots of choice of hot drinks provided plus breakfast basket of porridge, cereal bars and water.. asked for more milk the lady was lovely and supplied us with extra.. all staff are lovely and very welcoming
Just very hot but not the property’s fault as it was a really hot weekend and we was situated at the very top floor, lots of stairs which was ok for us
