Superb location for our needs The staff were super friendly and helpful The breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Lovely cooked breakfast and perfect poached eggs! My husband who has coeliac disease (requires gluten free diet) was catered for beautifully. We had one evening meal on site which was very satisfying. Very generous and welcome tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Plenty of hot water in the bathroom. Reassuring to be able to park directly outside our room.

I found the bed a little too hard for my liking. Could I suggest a token biscuit to go with the tea and coffee in the room.

Location perfect - we travelled for a wedding and location of hotel was perfect for us.. rooms were comfortable and clean and beds were really comfortable and had a great sleep both nights.. staff were friendly and helpful as needed numbers for taxi transfers and got help from hotel to organise… breakfast was tasty with good choices and we had a lovely dinner too - lots of choice on menu …great value for money and would definitely return again…

Only small point to make was we closed bathroom door at night as the main road is at the back of hotel and could hear slight noise of traffic but with bathroom door closed it didn’t affect sleep …

Nice outside communal areas, parking easy and plentiful. EV chargers very welcome and reasonable in price. Easy to use. Breakfast was good and plenty variety. Breakfast room clean and comfortable, as was sitting area. Rooms were clean with the basics of what you need for few nights stay. Shower was large and worked well.

Communal areas were closed from midday on Sunday so wouldn’t have been able to use them whilst we were there. We were a group of 6 rooms attending nearby family function so didn’t affect us but worth noting for others. We were notified of this at check in.

Well, virtually everything! Friendly welcome, really clean room with coffee and tea making facilities. Super shower and a really comfortable bed. Nice bar area and an adequate dinner menu. Plenty of parking too. Overall, a super place for an overnight stay.

I had the feeling that the staff, who were friendly and tried hard, were a little stretched on Saturday evening. It took about 45 minutes for a simple starter to arrive, although the main course, which was delicious, followed quickly - perhaps too quickly as I hadn't finished my starter! And on the two occasions when I wanted a glass of wine I had to walk to the bar area in the absence of waiting staff. But this is pretty small stuff and I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner.

This was an on the spot booking, and I must say I wasn't disappointed. the welcome I received from the staff were excellent even though I booked it on the carpark. the facilities were perfect for an overnight stay. comfy bed, clean room, excellent food and friendly staff. I would highly recommend this motel to anyone either staying overnight or a few day it is conveniently located to major roads and has everything you need. the bonus is I parked my car right outside my door which is what you need after 4hrs on the road.

There is always something to improve on, but honestly not much here. they even provided sunshine as it was a beautiful sunny stay with the weather lately that's definitely a bonus. this seems real picky no hash browns on a full cooked breakfast. :-)

Breakfast was of amazing quality — and the food was ‘super hot’ ! Car parking was excellent — and very spacious. Two EV Chargers were also installed.

Internet could have been faster — but was adequate.

Lovely greeting at check in, as a motel we were directed which door to park in front of, super large carpark and covered walkways back to the reception. Reception clean, bright and welcoming with super seating area for chiling and reading the paper. Great bar and lounge area. Restaurant was spacious and lots of tables. Service was really quick and friendly. Very effiicient team. The room was spacious, comfy and toasty warm. Nicely decorated, desk area, tea and coffee facilities, the room was serviced daily and refreshed. The bathroom was bright, clean and spacious. Everything worked. Really can't fault it. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and had breakfast each morning. Not a vast menu but a good choice to include vegetarian options. Food was hot and tasty and well presented.

There isn't really anything to not like, it does exactly what it says on the tin, its a motel and has ample facilities for those needing a base to explore the local area, go walking or run an Ultra in the Yorkshire Wolds. Well located for plenty of local sights, you need a car to access everything but you wouldnt stay in a motel if you didn't have a car or bike.

A quirky hangover from the 70s but all the better for it! Well maintained and spacious site. The lodges are comfortable with very efficient heating and hot water. The staff are lovely, especially Michelle who look after us in the restaurant. The food was home cooked and excellent. Well done!

Nothing, except perhaps some traffic noise which you can’t do much about.

The room and bathroom were very clean, and warm (a little too warm for me but fine for my spouse!). Having a bath was a welcome bonus. The property was easy to find. We were staying to see family in York, and all the cheaper hotels in York itself were either booked up or very expensive, so we were happy when we found this motel. We used the EV charger (not a rapid but adequate for our needs and a good price), which was fairly straightforward. The staff are all lovely and helpful. Breakfast was very easy, and my spouse appreciated having a cooked breakfast brought to him rather than a buffet.

I loved that the accommodation was all ground floor self contained chalet style rooms. Breakfast was delicious and staff very friendly and helpful. Shower was probably the most powerful I’ve ever used! Would definitely stay here again

I think the price was a little more than we would like to have paid (I think £90-£100 would have been more suitable for a nights stay.)
