Mrs Choo is a perfect host, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast selection is very good, cereals, fresh fruits, meat, cheese, yogurts and hot food is available. Everywhere is spotless and clean and beds are comfortable, especially for my bad back. The Chinese restaurant within the hotel is excellent, maybe the best I have tried.

The only thing is the overhead rain showers in the bathroom need some attention as they aren’t very powerful, maybe need descaling, as the second wall shower head is very good.

Stayed for 2 nights on a weekend trip to York. Great location, ideal for the park and ride. Owner was very friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. Ate in the onsite restaurant (Chinese) on the first night, food was lovely, and the service top notch. Rooms clean and comfortable, with a good breakfast included... Wouldn't hesitate to stay again

The Plough Inn is easily located on the main road between York and Beverley and is well away from thd main road and very quiet. Parking is plentiful. We were warmly welcomed and our room was very comfortable and easily warmed on a very chilly July day. We has zn excellent Chinese meal in thd restaurant where the service and food were excellent.

There is nothing not to like.

Breakfast was ok a varied choice was available and the owner went out of her way to accommodate us.The Chinese restaurant was very good, food was very tasty and served quickly staff were good too.

The bed was too soft and the heater was not working in the bathroom we only stayed one night so it was not a big issue.

The mixture of old country pub with a fabulous Chinese restaurant . The room was very comfortable with generous tea and coffee facilities . The breakfast was delicious and wholesome and the Chinese dinner was the best we have ever had , anywhere !The owner / manager Mrs Chu was very attentive , polite and friendly . We’ve already booked our next stay !

The room was a good size, bed was comfortable. Love the little touches- toothbrushes, soap, shampoo and conditioner in bathroom. Towels nice and fluffy slippers available too! Box of tissues either side of bed!! The owner was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious so nice to have a continental breakfast instead of a fry up!!

The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent. The lady running the Plough is really friendly and works very hard to make guests feel welcome. We would stay here again if in the area

The taps had a very low water pressure and it was difficult to get hot water

A genuine warm welcome from Mrs Chu, a nice warm room with a TV with plenty of channels, a well-filled hospitality tray (including Yorkshire Tea being as we were in Yorkshire!) and a clean bathroom with a large shower ... what's not to like! We had dinner in the adjacent Chinese restaurant ... the service was prompt and friendly and the food delicious. The continental breakfast served the next morning was most enjoyable ... fresh strawberries, blueberries and grapes, yogurts, cereals, juice, a choice of brown or white toast with a pleasant choice of jams and tea and coffee. Even though we were the only residents having breakfast that day, the portions were copious and the welcome and service exceptional. A big thank you to Mrs Chu for all she did to make our stay memorable ... and for all the right reasons.

I would have preferred not to have had 'sweet smelling sticks' in the bedroom and bathroom but that was all!

Perfect location for a motorsport event taking place at Melbourne Raceway. We were delighted to discover the Chinese Restaurant. The food and service was superb!! Our host was most welcoming and the accomodation ticked all of our boxes. We will certainly be returning.

Location was good for us, family in Market Weighton. Mrs Chu is an exceptional host. The Chinese restaurant is very good, great staff and food. Bedroom is functional but great bed linen and everything you could need provided

Would like breakfast to finish later 9am is too early at the weekend, however we got to breakfast just before 9am and had our showers after as checkout is not till 12 so no need to rush
