This was our second visit to the hotel. The booking process is very easy and helpfully the hotel does send through plenty of information that helps you to decide if or not you require some of those extra little touches to make your stay that extra special. As with a prior visit, we did make a couple of requests of the hotel. We knew our requests could not be guaranteed, but were delighted to find that on the day our request was possible. The staff are brilliant, very helpful and informative. The thing we really like though is the fact the rooms are in pods as opposed to the usual high rise floors. The pods are ideal for pretty much everyone and offer the added benefit of having a nice view and setting. On both occasions we've enjoyed staying in the Huxtable Suite. This is the one with the exclusive use of the hot tub. The rooms are a nice size, importantly for my partner the beds are very comfortable as she finds it hard to sleep properly in many of the other hotel rooms and she was able to rest and get a good nights sleep. And let me just say, that hot tub really does add to the whole experience. The warm water is very relaxing. All in all we both very much enjoyed our stay and will be happy to stay at The Kilnwick Percy again in the future and we're more than happy to recommend to others.

Having read a few negative reviews, I was a little worried what KP resort and our room would be like but I had no need to worry, the room was great, spotlessly clean, nice bed, good bathroom with shower and kettle etc, couldn't ask for anything more. The room was in one of the lodges, which each have 4 rooms in them, no disturbance from any other rooms. We had room only but added breakfast on the morning, which was good, continental was £8 and full English was £16, not cheap but about the going rate in a decent hotel. Not the widest selection at the continental but enough to suffice and I had a bacon butty and a sausage butty, at £4.25 each, thinking they'd be fairly small, they weren't, didn't really need both, but both were good, the bacon especially.

Nothing, was all good.

The breakfast was really nice all cooked well and served as requested. The spa was amazing very relaxing experience and very professional throughly enjoy the experience of the spa. Staff members very welcoming and happy to help.

The evening meal on a Friday was spoilt by noisy crowds and they said it happens on a Friday and Saturday which shouldn’t be a given should be dealt with as it’s spoiled the last night we had a meal there was discounted on dessert but wasn’t nothing compared to what we had spend on the starter and main meal. The bedroom had some serious dust behind the bed was shockingly horrendous see cleaners moving around resort and had hovers so not expectable.

To start with the staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I did have a number of questions that I needed answering which I asked when I contacted the hotel a couple of days prior to my arrival to arrange the required security deposit. My questions were fully answered and the information received fully and completely answered my questions. Arrival and checking in was very easy and as I'd never visited this particular venue before I was helpfully given a map and clear instructions on locating our lodge and available parking by the reception staff. I'd arranged a Huxtable Suite for myself and my partner. The Suite far exceeded both of our expectations to be fair, plenty of space, very clean and comfortable and the large bathroom facilities with the large walk in shower was definitely something my partner loved. Crucially though the suite had the exclusive hot tub access which is why I'd booked that suite in the first place. The hot tub was fantastic and very relaxing, because both me and my partner could relax together in the hot tub whilst enjoying being outside on a mild October evening it just made the stay that bit more special for us. A truly very enjoyable stay, one which I'm certain we'll be repeating again in the not too distant future.

The one and only issue was the cold shower the following morning. This I'm sure will be rectified though and to put a bit of a positive spin on it, it did wake us up for the drive home! :)

The property was clean and comfortable! The room was very spacious; the hot tub was very relaxing. The staff were lovely and the food was lovely aswell.

The noise within the multiple room lodges wasn’t great. Staying in the hot tub suite at the bottom meant hearing everything above (doors/showers/stomping around) and the main door constantly being opened and then slammed shut; Resulting in 2 nights disturbed sleep. Not fully the resorts fault however some softer closing doors could be a great investment. Would stay again but not within the shared lodges.

Nice setting, easy check in ( great receptionist) Nice suite with hot tub robes & slippers . Nice bathroom & small fridge in the room. Great spa treatments & Nordic spa was fun 🤩

Not enough privacy. Unfortunately as I was sat watching tv with the blinds open 4.15 pm . I’d just got out of the hot tub so only a robe on . 2 maintenance guys just came onto our decking lifted lid to test the water & then chucked some powder in lid back on & walked off to next cabin ! Not a word or a sorry to disturb you etc ! I am not impressed & told reception on departure as much. It was an invasion of privacy. I also wasn’t prepared for golfers wandering past 😳 Curtains in bedroom had something reddish spilt all over the back of them yuk ! Buffet style breakfast finished at 1030 !!? Then only sandwiches afterwards. Tbh was very average & not included in the £179 for the room ! ( I’d paid less through genius discount on booking.com but still to much)

The hotel pod was so lovely. Great location on the resort in a nice quiet area. Had a gym and spa but we didn’t use these. The breakfast in the pub was very nice. Room was immaculate and clean and a fair size. Mini fridge was stocked with water and tea and coffee facilities were spot on.

Hot tub was great but not located in the best area outside the room. Couldn’t chat to someone inside the room from the tub as it’s round the corner away from the entrance. Didn’t feel very private as only separated from the next room by a hedge but people walking by with dogs and kids felt abit intrusive.

Lovely overnight stay in lodge with hot tub. Room was clean, bedding, towels and dressing gowns clean. Nice little relaxing break hot tub ok. We ate evening meal and food was good and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Had to go get some coffee making supplies checking out was abit of a nuisance as reception opened at 8am and i said we needed to be off at 8 and needed to get our deposit back. The staff on reception were helpful but didnt know how to sort deposit eventually sorted.

The path from the pods to the restaurant and car park was not lit up at all. It's only a short walk (maybe 400 m or so) but it was pitch dark, and can be a worry if it's cold and icy weather and if you are unfamiliar with the place. Can't fault anything else with the resort and will stay there again, maybe not just in the winter months when it's dark unless they can light up the path.

This is our second 5 night stay with n 3 months so I think that speaks volumes about this resort.😊 Excellent Location/ style of the property very appealing / hot tub amazing / spacious , clean & comfortable Staff very friendly & accommodating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Poor Wi-Fi if any during our entire stay (5 nights ) 😱😱😱😱 Didn’t eat at restaurant as on our previous stay November 2023 we did & food was way below average very disappointing had chicken burger it was not a breast it was reformed chicken couldn’t eat it 😱( quality of food definitely needs upgrading as this is a gem of a place to stay with peace & tranquility) can’t comment on breakfast as we didn’t eat there we travelled into York.
