Barbara is so pleasant and welcoming. You feel that you are home from home. She is so knowledgeable about the area. It is a great help when you are totally new to the area as we were. Continental breakfast is very healthy and recommended. We would visit again.

The only thing I would mention is that we found the stairs a bit steep and had to be careful. However, we are not used to stairs at home.

A beautiful home like something from an interiors design magazine. Beautiful room and premium tea/coffee facilities in the room. Very quiet with blackout curtains for those who need total darkness to sleep. Private bathroom with premium toiletries. Exceptional breakfast beautifully presented. Barbara was a friendly helpful host who created a relaxed atmosphere. A luxurious experience.

The facilities could not have been improved

Continental breakfast excellent with various cereals, yoghurt, berries, other fruit, juice, tea, toast, jams. Pocklington lovely town, rural aspect, historical building, good food. We also opted to take the bus to take in the wonderful Roman and Viking history of York, together with bustling markets and eateries.

Everything was first class, no negatives!

A relaxing stay. All my needs were catered for. The bed was comfortable so I enjoyed good nights sleep. Breakfast was amazing with so much choice and cleanliness in the property was outstanding.

For me the only problem were the scented candles and other perfumes but then I have a sensitive nose!

Barbara is the most nicest of hosts. The accommodation is, well if I scored it out of 10 she would get a 20. Its ammaculate. Nothing and i mean nothing was wrong. The bedroom was 100% the bathroom was 100% our breakfast this morning was 100%. She has the best guest room that we have ever been in. Thank you Barbara you have made our weekend. X

Absolutely nothing

Barbara was lovely, chatty and friendly. We stayed on a very hot day and she made sure the room was as cool as it could be- supplying us with a fan was greatly appreciated. Very clean accomodation with a lovely feel to it, would highly recommend any one looking for a place to stay here.

Excellent continental style breakfast. All home comforts, including use of lounge if needed. Most genial and accommodating host. Quite good facilities and choice of eateries in Pocklington.

Although it is perhaps a 20 minute walk into the town centre, ideally you need your own vehicle for ease of travel.

Barbara is the perfect hostess immediately making us feel relaxed and comfortable. Our room was immaculate and cosy with everything that we needed. Barbara’s breakfasts were superb and so carefully and thoughtfully presented. Highly recommended.

There was nothing to dislike, it was all exceptional.

Barbra asked in advance if there was anything we would like for breakfast, and she happily provided over and above all that we had asked for. The breakfast was amazing and Barbra is a lovely host. The bedroom and bathroom were both excellent and we had use of the lovely garden too which was a great bonus.

A lock on the bedroom door would be a nice addition. Not that it is essential, just would give some additional peace of mind.

Location ideal for Pocklington area and easy fast access to York by bus .Breakfast was lovely continental but varied each day. Home made preserves . It is a lovely home so clean and welcoming and Barbara has alot of local knowledge which she shares with you and also lots of good chats .I liked everything about this stay. Easy off road parking
