Our experience was beyond what we expected. Everything was clean, Chad was welcoming and helpful. My husband and I were just winging it for the day so we had no luggage or anything and no car Chad recommended we take a Tuk Tuk (as Uber is not very reliable in the area) to get what we needed for the night, we did and we enjoyed our night. It was quiet and peaceful just what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of our regular lives. We'll definitely stay there again in the future. The only bad thing is there's no mat in the bathroom but I'm sure it can be lived without.

The location is fantastic, right next to Boulders Beach, making it easy to access the promenade by the Boulders Visitor Centre, where we saw plenty of penguins in the park. In terms of facilities, it was comfortable as well. Our room had a fridge, hot showers were available even late at night, and when the WiFi wasn’t working upon our arrival, they quickly fixed it after I reported the issue.

Our room was located at the back, so unfortunately, there wasn't much of a view. Additionally, if you don't open the windows to air out the room, it can start to smell a bit musty. This happened to us on the second day, so even though we were concerned about mosquitoes and the cold air, we had to keep the windows and door open for a while to refresh the air. The room was equipped with a small fan heater, which wasn’t quite enough when it got cold, but still better than not having one. We kept it on throughout the night since we visited during the winter-spring season. Another issue was the payment. Although I had selected the option to pay upon arrival, my card was charged before our trip. This was frustrating because my friend, who lives in Johannesburg, had intended to pay in cash.

Our stay at Boulders Beach Hotel was truly amazing! The rooms were comfortable and beautifully maintained, and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The highlight was definitely the proximity to the adorable penguins at Boulders Beach—just a short walk away! Waking up to the sound of the ocean and watching penguins waddle along the shore made this a truly unforgettable experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and memorable getaway!

Breakfast was not included in the price but here was a dining room with microwave and cutlery hot water, tea and coffee. The staff was nice and very helpful. The place has a great location and you can walk along the pathway along the beach and see all the penguins. you can even see them in the parking area.

All was great. 2 things to point out though : we gave our clothes for laundry and they must have dried it at too hot temperature because my partner's cotton polo shirts came back 3/4 of its original size. The bathroom does not drain easily and you end up ankle deep in water when you shower and also it the window in the bathroom lets wind in and it makes it uncomfortable when you shower specially when it is windy, rainy and cold outside.

Everything was up to standard.. And we thank you💯❤️.. The view coming out by the door.. The peace and quietness.. Perfect! We loved it! The staff very friendly, understandable.. Made us feel quite at home for our first time.. We shall definitely come again☺️👌

My partner planned to watch the bokke, we didn't plan to watch over the phone, so ya we missed a good game. We thought cash would be manageable, not just card used machine only, but we understood. We wanted to braai but ya the weather didn't allow us, we already spend money on meat and stuff, we all know the cost of living is so high.. No secure place to braai though..but Thank the Lord we had cash on our cards to still buy food.☺️🙏

The rooms were very clean, well equipped and met with expectations. View was amazing. The lady that greeted us was super friendly and helpful. Parking was no problem, I am not sure what it will be like during peak season as I know it is a very popular spot. There seemed to only be 3 parking bays. The beaches and penguins were within walking distance and really beautiful. Just remember if you as a SA citizen to take your ID with you to obtain your special rate.

The food in the cafe was very expensive and not that good. I would probably not eat a meal there again. Coffee and pancakes were nice.

Honestly, no complaints. I got what I paid for and what I saw online when I made the booking. There was a light not working, but they informed us at check-in and it was repaired the next day. An extension with more plugs would have been helpful. My friend had American plugs on various devices that needed to be plugged into SA sockets. We brought it all with us, but the plug space was too small for us to plug everything in at the same time. Parking during the day was a challenge.

Such a very cute and well maintained hidden gem directly at Boulders beach. The vibes are just the relaxing, easy going beach vibes you wish for. In the evening you See penguins walking across the parking. You have sea view from the café which offers delicious little snacks, coffee and softdrinks during the day (closes at 5pm). In less than 2 minutes you are at the Boulders beach entrance, so you can easliy enjoy an early morning swim (possibly with penguins) or an early evening swim before the day ends. I would highly recommend to stay a couple of nights there and Just enjoy the amazing atmosphere and nature.

Two very minor remarks, the rooms dont have aircon, so it can be quite warm during the night. And the other small point, as I didnt have a car, I couldnt really reach any Restaurants nearby (closest was the Seaforth restaurant ca 800 Meter away).

Battled a bit finding parking, was a hot night and some aircon would have been nice but had a small fan.. We came about 20h30 and hungry but there was no restaurant or bar open and had to drive a few km back to find food. Maybe keeping a restr open til 10pm on a Saturday would not be a bad idea.. Definitely a plsce for rest and quiet but imagine one could eat., drink and hear some music on a Saturday night

It's in the name--if you want to stay by the penguin beach (Boulders), there's no closer option. You wake up, walk out of your room, and you're in the beach's parking lot. You can see a penguin within three minutes of walking easily. Has a café and a shop attached so one-stop for all your penguin-holidaying needs.

The rooms varied in size and quality; in our party of six, the two rooms with full-sized beds had a decent amount of room and a desk, whereas the one with two single beds basically only had room enough for the two beds side-by-side.
